Beauty Box Review Vanity Trove

Vanity Trove March 2012 Subscription Review

I received my March trove last Saturday when I was out shopping :). My excited was soon turned sour again as the shrink wrap was torn all over and the box is in far more worser condition than February trove. It’s not visible in the picture below though as the box and my background is in white.

I paid RM50.99 for February trove and this time I paid RM50.38 due to the currency exchange.

There’s two different trove for March. What we get it based on luck. I’ve gotten “Go for Glow” trove. Not sure if I should be happy or not as I hauled quite a bit of skin care on Saturday itself.

The trove comes in just one brand; Astalift. There’s an assortment of skin care from Astalift included such as Moisture Foam, jelly AQUARYSTA, Lotion, Essence, Cream, Day Protector SPF35 PA++ and White Shield Drink. In another word this is a trial size kit.

ASTALIFT White Shield Drink
ASTALIFT Collagen 10000 harnesses the combined power of triple Collagens to ensure the optimal supply of Collagen to the body. The low-molecular weight of Marine Collagen ensures effective absorption by the body, aided by two types of Pico-Collagens (Proline and Lysine) which are necessary for Collagen synthesis. Comes in a delicious peach yoghurt flavour, and each box contains 10 x 30ml bottles, to provide 10,000 mg of low-molecular Marine Collagen per serving.

ASTALIFT Jelly AQUARYSTA
Star product of Astalift, ASTALIFT Jelly AQUARYSTA contains the world’s smallest “human-type” nano-sized Ceramide molecules to enhances skin’s moisture retention ability for optimal level of moisture in your skin. The unique light-as-water jelly contains a highly- concentrated and stable blend of skin-loving nutrients to penetrate deep into skin’s layers for full nourishment. Skin is protected against further dehydration and external stimuli that can cause skin irritation.

ASTALIFT Cream
Fortified with the super antioxidant, Astaxanthin, three different types of moisturising Collagens, wholesome Royal Jelly, and Squalane to seal moisture within skin, by forming a moisture veil over it. Regular use results in smooth, resilient skin.

ASTALIFT Lotion
Contains the super antioxidant, Astaxanthin, three different types of Collagens to enhance hydration and skin-loving Hyaluronan to help skin retain moisture. This rich pampering lotion also conditions skin to enhance the penetration of Essence or Emulsion which follows next. Skin becomes supple and moist after use.

ASTALIFT Day Protector SPF35 PA++
With SPF 35/PA++, the ASTALIFT Day Protector protects skin against harmful ultraviolet rays, a leading cause of ageing. Contains the super antioxidant, Astaxanthin, three different types of Collagens to enhance hydration and skin-loving Hyaluronan to help skin retain moisture. Non-greasy with a light after-feel, it also multi-tasks as a great makeup base.

ASTALIFT Essence
Contains an extremely high concentration of Astaxanthin as well as the wholesome goodness of Royal Jelly, skin- firming Elastin and three different types of moisturising Collagens to effectively deliver anti-ageing goodness deep into skin. The effect is bouncy, supple skin fortified to fight against external stimuli and the ravages of time. Promises to return vigour and radiance to your complexion.

ASTALIFT Moisture Foam
Lathers into luxuriously rich foam that thoroughly removes keratin residue and oxidised sebum which can cause skin dullness. Adds moisture and clearness to skin and contains the super antioxidant, Astaxanthin, and hydro-soluble Collagen to keep skin looking soft, bright and radiant.

Here’s the Vanity Mag included for “Go for Glow”.

On the inside you’d find the step-by-step guide for all the products included in this month’s trove.

A handful Astalift leaflet is also included. And a S$10 cash voucher.

What I don’t like about this month’s trove is as soon as I slide the box open, I saw how empty it is as the nesting is too little that it’s all cramped up like a bar and it’s all chucked on the down part of the box while the products are all chucked on the other part of the box. The picture below doesn’t justify what I mentioned on the nesting as I’ve loosen it up for the photography of the picture above.

The second thing that I don’t like is that one of the White Shield Drink bottle leaked and the juice is all over other products, nesting and the paper.

The White Shield Drink bottle juice stained the paper which initially I thought it’s the design of the paper LOL! I purposely took this picture slightly darker to show the stain.

Then there’s this weirdest thing. I appreciate that the team put some potpourri on the nesting just like last month’s trove but don’t la just scatter 4 pieces *faint*

I would prefer a beauty box with a mix of different varieties of skin care and makeup from different brands to try though. Hope next month would be better.

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored review. I bought the product on my own.

  • My trove arrived in a worsen condition than yours.
I disliked the one brand theme box & the spills of the drink all over other sample made me sent a nasty mail the minute after I opened the trove.

Thanks for dropping by. Yes I do notice the mishandling of this month’s trove. But there’s an improvement on the delivery timeline.
