Giveaway Guerlain Mother's Day

Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Haul, Boxes for Giveaway & Flower for Mummy

Happy Belated Mother’s Day everyone!

It was a busy day for me as I needed to go to 3 different shopping complex in a short period of time and I was getting a bit stress up about it. Finally I decided to just go with the flow and stop thinking about it.

First stop. KLCC. Usually on a typical Sunday I’ll be at KLCC to do my usual weekend magazine survey at Kinokuniya. Being someone who’s in the publishing line I need to do lots of research of what other magazine is doing. Kinokuniya is a perfect place as there’s a bunch of magazine locally and internationally. But before that I need to stop by Guerlain at Isetan to make my reservation for Guerlain by Emilio Pucci collection.

PLEASE REMIND ME NOT TO STEP INTO ISETAN 10AM SHARP. As soon as I reached the main entrance of cosmetic floor (Estee Lauder side), I saw everyone standing in front of their counter so I sort of “freeze” with my walking pose not knowing what to do. If I went off I’d looked weird. But I can’t walk in as well. Then the guard told me it’s okay to go in so I went in. Oh my gosh. Every BA is standing in front of their counter to give their greetings! You have no idea how embarrassing it is to walk alllllllllll the way to Guerlain with everyone staring at you and greet you with Good Morning. I needed to smile, nod my head and replied Morning to everyone! So scary. I’m so glad to see Guerlain BA; Irene finally. I wish I knew it earlier LOL!! Oh yea. . . I was their first customer alright. After the song ended everyone are able to resume to their usual routine and I can see them staring at us with the corner of their eyes throughout the half an hour I’m there.

Initially I thought of making my reservation for Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Météorites Perles D’azur Illuminating Powder (RM189) as I read from local blog that it will only be available on 20th May. But I was told by Irene it’s already here! So I bought that and after persuaded by Irene, I got the Guerlain by Emilio Pucci Powder Brush (RM121) as well. With a total purchase of RM310 I was given a set of GWP.

If you have the normal range of Guerlain Météorites Perles Illuminating Powder, you need not to buy this unless you are a collecter. One can should be able to last you for years but once you bought a can you just can’t stop. I wanted to collect these balls!

My GWP this time is much more better than my first Guerlain purchase. I was given Guerlain Secret de Pureté Cleansing Milk 50ml, Super Aqua-Lotion Toner 50ml, Guerlain Idylle EDP 5ml, Super Aqua-Serum Intense Hydration Wrinkle Plumper 3ml and Super Aqua-Day Comfort-Cream 10ml.

Yesterday I sorted out the prizes for my first giveaway and I couldn’t pack them properly as I don’t have the box yet.

So I picked up some boxes from Kinokuniya.

Guerlain stop was unexpectedly long so by the time I left KLCC to Bangsar Shopping Centre, it’s already 11am. I reached BSC around 11.30am to buy some Lily flowers for my mum. I have no intention to pack them nicely as I knew as soon as the flowers are on my mum’s hand, she’ll rip the packaging off and put them in a vase. But after loitering a while at the florist, I decided to pick another bouquet of peach and yellow Gladiolus and gave them to the florist to pack them. Total is RM65.99 and the florist gave me a wrong price tag to pay so after I paid and confronted the florist, she gave me another pre-pack stalk of Carnation which is worth RM6.99 retail to compensate the extra that I paid.

The Lily bouquet I chose is the biggest there and it’s about RM38.99. I think there’s about 15 Lily flowers in my bouquet which is yet to blossom. Can’t wait. Gladiolus I chose is also the biggest bouquet there and it’s RM18.99. Paper and ribbon would be RM8 🙂

To be frank I never buy any flower for my mum before. We are not raised to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries or Mother’s and Father’s Day. This time I decided to surprise my mum not with Carnations but with flowers that I think she’d love.

How did you celebrate Mother’s Day?

  • Just swirl a huge brush into the can and apply to your face. Review is in the schedule but not so soon. The difference is not very obvious though as it’s a illuminating powder.

She love the flowers! Lily is starting to open up a bit.

  • A very pretty bouquet you got for mummy, Fiona 🙂 I love lilies too (particularly stargazers) because they are such pretty flowers in pure white and sweet scent.

Like you, I was not raised to celebrate birthdays, Mother’s Day or any major events. It was not until I grew up and socialize with friends thatI learnt this culture of celebrating. These days, my mum is more open to celebrate my sister’s good exam results or Mother’s Day. Also the fact now we’re grown up and earning, so we can drive her out and pay for simple meals.

For Mother’s Day, we had crab dinner which is her favourite, I didn’t get her flowers though.

The Guerlain pearls are so lovely 🙂 Haha, makes me want to buy one too but I’ve not even swirled any foundation on my face to begin with, so I’ll take it slow.

I admire and applaud the effort you put for your blog giveaway, you go girl!

Haha, now I know you’re a KLCC fan on weekends. I am there on weekdays as that’s where my office is. Only once in a while if there’s beauty event such as Lancome launch or Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, then I will make my way to KLCC.

Oh my, your post got me so excited that this comment of mine is like a post within your blog! Blog-ception. Hope you don’t mind…

    Keep writing!

  • You can actually swirl this on your face even if you’re without foundation. This will illuminate your face 🙂

I love to gift my friends and relatives with things they told me about and if I have it on hand I’ll give it to them to try. But sad to say they never use it and just chuck it aside. I got bored with them not appreciating the thing I gave them so I rather give it to my readers.

I only love Sunday. Sunday is the only day which I’m happy about. I get to do my magazine and beauty rounds on the same day!

    Blog-ception haha. I don’t mind 🙂

  • Yeah, you’re right. Products or even samples are more meaningful and satisfying if you share it and it’s being used by others. Sometimes by trying a product, we may end up liking it and benefit from it.

I love Saturday the best because I usually spend it roaming shopping malls and that’s about it. Sunday often leaves me gloomy as I know the next day I need to go back to work. And Sunday is when I normally tone down on number of activities, lol…

  • Sometimes they even ask for more…

  • Just direct them to the counter to get the samples :). I’m angry cause I buy with my own money then only rewarded with GWP. And I gave them my GWP.
