China Glaze Make Up - Nail Polish Review: Make Up

Review: China Glaze Nail Lacquer #194 Fifth Avenue

Hello & happy Saturday! Weekend is here which means my 1 week holiday is coming to an end very soon :(. I’ve been very busy this week attending events and personal matters and today I wanna share with you a pretty nail polish from China Glaze by the name of Fifth Avenue.

Fifth Avenue is a creamy, thick and smooth polish. It’s thick but not gluely at all. The color is darker in real but my camera fail to capture the color. Urrrgghhh!

Fifth Avenue is in China Glaze’s core collection so you can buy this from Isetan KLCC or Isetan 1 Utama for the price of RM42. China Glaze has the most interesting wide color selection in my opinion  and each and every color stands outs. I choose to put on Fifth Avenue for this week as the mauve-rose color is suitable for all occasion and more work-friendly. Plus it’s my favorite color even for lipstick!

Here’s a picture which best describe the color in real. Even my mum said the color looks nice on me. Yay for mauve-rose nail polish!

As I mentioned before, I’m not a nail polish person previously. I don’t know much about nail polish so I like to shake the bottle a lot before and during application which resulted with air bubbles on all my nails. Through China Glaze event, I learnt that we shouldn’t shake the bottle vigorously. What we should do before application is to rub the bottle with both palms for 1 minute. You’d be surprise that the polish will goes on smoothly during application minus the air bubbles too.

Before application, I applied Seche Clear Base Coat first. This base coat is superb. It dries down super fast and I heard that this base coat can also prevent yellowish nails too. In this picture below I just applied one coat of Fifth Avenue. The color is so outstanding and shiny too.

All China Glaze Nail Lacquer contain “China Clay” which is added in the nail polish as nail hardener and shine. This “China Clay” is the same material that gives porcelain it’s shiny finish. That explains why all China Glaze nail polish is so shiny! Even before applying top coat.

Here’s another full hand shot. If you’ve notice, this color make my skin looks fairer. Another reason to like this color.

China Glaze is now available at Isetan KLCC and Isetan 1 Utama and is priced at RM42 per bottle or RM46 for Prismatic collection.

** China Glaze is free of DBP, toluene, and added formaldehyde.

  • This color reminded me of an iswii post for Sally Hansen Insta Dri Nail Polish 180 Rose Run. The link is given below. But then again, the similarity could be due to factors such as lighting difference, photo quality and skin tone.

    • I guess it’s very common to see same color polish on different brand 🙂

  • Hope you had a good break and yeah, I know how it feels like to go back to work after that. Perhaps just need some time when you’re back at work to gain the momentum.

    • Had a good break but hardly spend some time for myself. Parents is constantly asking me to do all sorts of things for them.
