Hair Care - Styling Product Lucidol-L Review: Hair Care

Review: My Secret to a Wavy Bouncy Hair with Lucidol-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly (Bouncy Wave)

Reader Joey recently emailed me asking about what styling product I’m using for my hair. I’ve gone through 5 bottles of it and Joey’s email reminded me to review it.

Everyone who had their hair perm before will tell you that it takes time and effort to maintain it. I don’t agree. It takes me just less than 5 minutes to style my hair and in today’s review I’m going to reveal to you my secret and that includes how I do it in a fast and easy way.

Oh just so you know..I don’t wake up with this hair. I woke up with loose and fluffy hair. How do I ended up with this hair?

The secret weapon is this. Lucidol-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly (Bouncy Wave) which I bought from Watsons for RM16.50. There’s a few type for you to choose. I like my hair to have that dry-look and wavy so I chose Bouncy Wave. I don’t like my hair to look wet like how other styling product gives you. At the beginning I only bought this to try. If it gives me that wet look then I need to ditch it and hunt for a new product again. Little that I know this is exactly what I was looking for.

After I wash my hair every night, I’ll just apply this product by section to my damp hair and air-dry. Of course it’ll look nice but it’s not going to be so after you wakes up the next morning.

The description on every styling product doesn’t always deliver the result you wanted. My advice is to read through a few when selecting and pick up the one that best describe what you’re looking for.

Now that you’ve been introduced to my “secret weapon”, now let me reveal to you The Secret. It’s actually pretty simple and makes sense.

Have you ever notice that everytime after you wash your hair, the hair is more wavier upon contact with water? I’m actually utilizing this concept every single morning without fail. All I do is to spray my hair with water, put on a shower cap, went for a shower and then half way putting on my skin care I’d remove the shower cap to air-dry my hair. By the time I’m done with skin care and make up my hair is already dry. Then I’d wash my hand and while my hand are still wet I’d pump 1 pump of Lucidol-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly (Bouncy Wave) and squeeze the product on bottom half of my hair to keep the curl on longer.

Didn’t I told ya it’s so simple and it’s less than 5 minutes? Try it and let me know if it works for you too!

Lucidol-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly (Bouncy Wave) is available at major supermarket and drug store like Watsons, Guardians and many more. I bought mine from Watsons.
Price: RM16.50 for 200ml

Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored review. I bought the product on my own.

  • your hair’s really pretty. does this hair jelly give you any hair volume? or your original state of hair is already thick with volume? i am very tempted to buy this but my hair lacks volume…

    • Hi MJ, the top of my head’s hair is thinner while half bottom is thicker according to my stylist. When it’s straight it looked flat on me. Now it’s more volume due to the perm. Wavy hair tend to give volume I guess :). I still feel wet wavy hair from styling product will make your hair flatter which is why I wanted non oily product for my hair. Another trick is to have the perm from top of your head instead of half head perm 🙂

    • Lol Gin.

If you apply this alone on straight hair it won’t give you any curl. Unless if you apply and sleep with those curler thing overnight. I’ve tried that when I have straight hair.

Next time I’ll post a tutorial. Someone asked that but I accidentally deleted the pictures from my memory card so the post is still pending.
