Bioré Make Up - Remover Review: Make Up

Review: Bioré Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip; Performed Better Than Expected

Bioré received a high recognition and recommendation when it comes to their makeup remover range. Not really a winner in skin care range but maybe their cleansing range are from Japan so it’s pretty good! I’ve tried their Cleansing Oil before converting everything to Clarins which I don’t know why I stray away but I’m back to it. I did a rounding in Watsons a few months back and started filling my basket with all sorts of good budget buy products. Along that I included Bioré Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip in my shopping basket and boy I’m glad I did!

I always emphasis on a bi-phase eye makeup remover. That’s how I like it to be. I’ve tried all sorts of texture but bi-phase still works the best in terms of removing, conditioning and most important the efficiency. Usually for bi-phase removers you can see 2 layer of content. The “oil” floats on top while the water etc is at the bottom.

So what’s the top and bottom layer in Bioré Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip?
Top layer contains cleansing ingredients to soften and dissolve eye/lip makeup.
Bottom layer contains Hyaluronic Acid to keep skin hydrated.

I like the cap and the small & narrow nozzle. If you don’t squeeze the bottle…the content don’t dispense out a lot. With the narrow nozzle I can squeeze the remover onto cotton pad forming a line. That’s how I like to do it. The cap close down not so tight but secure enough.

Before using a bi-phase remover always always ALWAYS remember to shake the bottle vigorously to mix both layer evenly. What I like about this Bioré Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip is that it doesn’t separate that quickly unlike other remover. I can still take my time squeezing to a cotton pad to form a line as I said before. I tried to be cautious. Before I squeeze the content out I’d take a look at the bottle first. If I notice a slight separation I’d close the cap and shake the bottle before dispensing again.

Another thing that I like about Bioré Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip is that it’s not oily at all. My fingers stays oil-free and so are my eyes after removing. And it doesn’t sting or irritate my eyes which is a plus point!

I did a test the other day using Elite Slim Mascara which contains visible fibrous in it. I smudged the back of my hand heavily with Bioré Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip. Then I placed a soaked cotton pad onto the mascara and immediately I can see the black shadow peeking through the cotton pad. Waited for a few second and the shadow gotten darker which means the remover is doing it’s job. Then I removed the cotton pad in a wipe motion (slide it down) and everything was totally removed! Sometimes I use a cleaner side to clean leftover residue. All fibrous is totally removed as well and it’s stuck nicely on the cotton pad 🙂

I’m really liking this Bioré Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip day by day. It does it’s purpose efficiently without irritating my eyes. You know how some eye makeup remover sting and eye became red and itchy? This doesn’t do that. It’s also gentle towards the eye as I didn’t experience any lashes fall out or breakage like how I had with other makeup removers.

Bioré Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip is available at all major drugstore, supermarket and pharmacies nationwide.
Price: RM23.80 for 130ml

  • I am using the L’oreal one, some days when I hop into the shower too soon, I just use the cleansing oil as my first step to remove my entire make up. It worked and everything is taken off easily, granted, I use light mascara only (if there’s such thing lol). The L’oreal bi-phase one is quite good and affordable too. Yeah, I have read that Biore is good as well. Will try it the next time around 🙂

  • I prefer Biore over Maybelline. Biore has better make up remover 🙂

    • Maybelline can only be compared with L’Oreal due to the market level of both brands. Biore is a totally different leve. Just like Honda City vs Toyota Vios and both cannot be compared with Honda Jazz 😛

  • Ah. I get you. I am thinking to get Clarins’ cleansing oil. Speaking of which, have you tried Hada Labo’s cleansing oil? I got a sample sachet, used it and I think it is good. It’s like the budget version of Clarins’ cleansing oil.

    • Clarins one are fishy smell. I don’t like it. Haven’t tried Hada Labo one and yes I heard it’s good too. Gonna finish the current milk/oil before repurchasing 😉
