Last week I signed up for Kanebo + Vanity Trove Sense of Beauty Pink Carpet Event which I didn’t thought of doing so. When I saw the itinerary I told myself I have too many skin care. Somehow after some consideration and I’m pretty free for the week I decided to go on with it. Vanity Trove is charging RM80 for this experience. It is held only for 2 days; 5th Jan and 6th Jan and only 7 time slots opened for each day. I booked myself for 5th Jan, 11am so yeah I’m the first one 🙂
I have no idea where Kanebo facial cabin is located but it’s not hard to find at all. In fact I reached the location by accident lol. It’s not hard to spot really. A huge Vanity Trove banner was facing my direction and Vanity Troves on the table.
For RM80 attendees will go through a personalized skin check, followed by a Facial Experience (40-45 mins) and beauty tips to get radiant and glowing skin. That’s not all. We will also get a Kanebo exclusive Vanity Trove. I’ve seen such events happening for Vanity Trove Singapore and I’m glad Vanity Trove Malaysia managed to organize one this soon. Kudos!
I was introduced to Ms. Jenny Liang; Regional Trainer from Kanebo HQ Tokyo for a personalized skin check. This skin check is very different with the one I did with Lancome. I get to know in depth of every single good and bad of my skin.
This is my analysis. I found out that I’m now close to oily skin. Oh crap. From combination to dry and sensitive during skin allergy and now near to oily when I recovered. Ms. Jenny said I need to reconsider changing my current cleanser and scrub. Normal scrubbing might be too harsh for me.
I’m suppose to have my skin check again after facial but because other attendees are already there so I didn’t get a chance to recheck and compare with the before.
After a skin check I was lead to the facial room. Nothing fancy but nonetheless comfortable. I never tried Kanebo facial before so I was looking forward to it.
I’m not a fan of facial especially those that use machine. I’m delighted to know that the one I about to have is all hand massages just like how I like it. It was an honor to get facial by Ms. Jenny herself! The hand pressure was just nice on me. Totally relaxing and comfortable. I get to try Lotion Mask that was recommended to me earlier. I’m considering to purchase this soon.
An array of Kanebo skin care products for the facial. Of course you don’t get to try all ya. You’d be matched with what’s suitable for your skin type, problem and needs.
Now, the exclusive Kanebo Vanity Trove. I read that inside the trove there’s one full size Kanebo product alongside trial size and samples. At first I thought since this is more towards skin care the full size must be a skin care. But it turns out I was wrong. We cannot choose what we want though. It’s really by luck on what full size you get.

I must say this RM80 is very well spent. If you are Vanity Trove subscribers you’d know that their trove cost RM60 per month right? I paid RM80 for a whole experience, personalized skin check, beauty tips and advices, facial and gotten an exclusive Kanebo Vanity Trove which comes with one full size Kanebo Lunasol product alongside trial size and samples. I think that Vanity Trove and Kanebo are smart that they did not include a full size skin care in the trove although I know some of you will comment later on saying you prefer skin care :). I get the best of both world; facial + makeup. The combination is just perfect for me at least.
Looking forward for more similar joint event from Vanity Trove!
