Beauty Box Review MIVVA Beauty Box

Yet Another Great MIVVA Beauty Box March 2013 Edition Review

If you have been following me on Facebook you’d already know that I was especially happy to received MIVVA March 2013 Edition a few weeks ago. It was the heaviest of all this month. Once again, I purposely put the review on delay. It’s no fun when the blogosphere is cramped up with the same review at the same time, day and week right? I thought of giving MIVVA “the extra mileage” (wow what a term LOL) hence the purposely-delay review.

Well. Let me just tell you MIVVA had never ever ever let me down with their boxes month by month. Every month I whoa myself until I thought I was having a heart attack! I can just stop skin care shopping and just subscribe to MIVVA for the rest of our lives haha. Why is that? Look at all the goodies!

Before we start to get in details with each item, please ignore all the orangey pictures. My neighbour was moving house and I’m too shy to sit in the garden with my pyjamas on and with all the weird poses LOL! So I stay indoor instead. Orangey because of my beige curtain.

Every month there’s a different theme. This month it’s Know You Skin so I was right to have guessed that it’s related to skin care. Some boxes ran slightly out of their theme. This one no worries at all. They came out with a theme and stick to the theme. Now you know why I said I can stop skin care shopping right? This box has allllll the essentials.

I never had to worried about not getting a full size in MIVVA box. They always put in one or two.

First up – FULL SIZE Beautymate Purifying and Brightening Nano Lotion 100ml (RM49.90 / 100ml)

This contains Gentiana Lutea Root Extract, Black Pearl Powder and Morus Nigra Leaf Extract. It helps to minimize dark sports and to whiten skin. Nano particles enhances absorption by skin cells and penetrates deep into skin to provide essential nutrients. Vitamin B repairs skin cells and speeds up renewal, leaving skin radiant, smooth and firm.

I know I’ll like this one from the name itself. Purifying for my type of skin normally means hallelujah. I like that it contains Black Pearl Powder as it’s one of a good ingredient for skin. This product also helps with minimizing dark sport (yay!) and whiten skin. Looks like it’s right down my alley y’all!

You know I’m the queen of beauty oil right? Face, body, hair….you name it. I bath in those stuff! Okay not so dramatic. I like to “oil up” lol!

FULL SIZE Secretleaf Pure Oil Series – Organic Argan Oil 15ml (RM75 / 15ml)

100% pure and organic argan oil exclusively imported from Morocco. Famously known as “Liquid Gold of Morocco” for it’s benefit in moisturizing the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, lessen appearance of dark spots and pigmentation as well as revitalizes the skin. Also used on hair to reduce breakage, smoothen dry and frizzy hair as well as repair damaged hair and split ends.

I mentioned before in Marula Oil review that it is almost impossible to find 100% argan oil. I guess this is my luck because this is 100% pure and organic argan oil. Argan oil is widely known for it’s anti-aging benefits as well as reducing spots. Yes, acne marks counted as well 🙂

A brand that I seen a lot but never tried before.

Uriage Hyseac Gentle Cleansing Gel 50ml (RM61.90 / 150ml)

Suitable for oily skin, enlarged pores, irregular skin texture, muddy, dull complexion, blackheads, red blemishes, acne-prone skin etc. It’s high rinsability, light foaming action on contact with water and delicate fragrance characteristic make it a product that is extremely pleasant to use on a daily basis. Skin is clean, purified and clear.

No one can say no to a cleanser especially if it’s this beneficial to combination to oily skin. I will try this once my Gamila soap finishes. It’s exciting to see a brand which I never tried before popping out from a beauty box. A whole new discovery for me.

Something familiar but quite good.

Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer # Dewy Finish 5ml (RM150 / 30ml)

Skin Perfecting Primer Dewy Finish is an oil-free primer in an universal shade that balances oil production, disguises flaws, even skin texture and minimizes the appearance of pores. Used under or in place of foundation, Skin Perfecting Primer Dewy Finish creates the perfect radiant glow.

I’e used this before and all is great except for the shade. It comes in one shade but it’s a tad bit too dark for me. It goes on dark but the color balance back after foundation. I will use this if I know I’m going to use a fairer foundation. Otherwise I don’t. Overall it’s not a bad primer. I only wish their universal color is lighter shade though.

Esllon Bio-Gel Eye Mask (RM59 / 5pcs)

Esllon Revolutionary Bio-Gel Eye Mask is 100% natural bio-gel eye mask that is free from chemical additives, preservatives and fragrance. It is made of sago essence, water soluble polymers and water, which brings you 5 ultimate bio-medical beauty regimes namely hydrating, whitening, nourishing, soothing and restoration. It’s sago hydrogel and the unique three dimensional polymer netting work in pair perfectly in revealing a translucent and youthful skin around your eyes with a touch of irresistible smooth texture in just 5 days.

Did you know that this product is manufactured and distributed by a company base in Kajang? I only found out from the packaging. This eye mask is quite interesting eh? It’s made of sago essence. Now that’s something new 🙂

This cutie created lots of awwwww over the past weeks. I find a white puppy figurine folded from towel! Soooo cute! Mum kept asking me why there’s no eyes lol. That’s the unique of this. Just like shaggy dog :). Totally heart this.

MIVVA39
I also find a  number76 RM20 voucher. number76 is quite famous among celebrity bloggers like Cheeserland, Fourfeetnine and even celebrity like Hannah Tan. Now everyone can have number76 hair styling experience lol.

  • The way you praise Mivva, I cannot say I am not tempted to subscribe it. :p But back to point that sometimes when you have too many beauty box to sub, you had too much samples that you don’t use. That’s what I am facing currently. Sigh.

    • When you realized you have too much, just pick those that you like best. Maybe one box per month instead of 5 boxes. I actually stop beauty shopping because of beauty boxes. I do agree it’s too overwhelming at times 🙂

  • I sub to those that I think is worth my money. I keep what I can use, and give the rest to either my sister or dear friend. Still hogging the box but it is likely that I will toss it away soon. I am running out of space for those boxes.
