I thought of doing a fun post today!
I’ve been wanting to post this up for ages but never get to do it. Since I’m lugging a pouch bag full with makeup to work lately, I thought no better time to blog about it than now right? 😀
Sooooo what is in my makeup bag eh? This is what I carry to work everyday. A Crabtree & Evelyn X Hello Kitty travel toiletry bag. The bag look small at first but it’s really quite spacious on the inside. At least I get to stuff all that I wanted to stuff inside the bag 🙂
This Crabtree & Evelyn X Hello Kitty travel toiletry bag consists of 3-compartment. The main and bigger compartment is the one on the left and right. Middle compartment is netted and it can be detach out whenever needed.
Let’s see what I have in each compartment shall me? 😀
My main makeup pouch is this RMK 15th Anniversary Limited Edition pouch. As this pouch is huge, fat and heavy…I put it in one of the bigger compartment.
On the other bigger compartment is where I keep my makeup brushes pouch.
The middle netted compartment is where I put a bottle of MAC Brush Cleanser. Although the compartment is not that big, however it can fit the whole brush cleanser bottle. I can still snap close the whole bag. Not bad!
Previously I posted up a tips on how to organize your daily pouch with the “one week, one makeup item” philosophy. It works for me but ever since I remember having a Hello Kitty toiletry bag I decided to go all out!!
I have no idea how I ended up with so many of the same item in the same pouch but I did :D. In the RMK 15th Anniversary pouch I put in a number of mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and lipgloss. Everything need to double triple up lol.
Despite having a few of the same makeup item in the pouch, I still implement my “one week, one makeup item” philosophy. Each week I will only use one particular mascara, eyeliner, lipstick and eyeshadow palette. Eyeshadow palette is the only thing I needed to change every week because it’s too bulky to bring a few in the bag 🙂
My makeup brushes pouch is the one I get from recent Suria Meriang staff sales. I still have yet to use the brushes that comes with it so I’m using the pouch first. I like that it’s not made from fabric but all plastic because fabric will be hard to clean and upkeep.
Oppss. Looks like I hide an eyeliner and mascara here lol!
My main brushes now is Sigma E25 and E45. I’m also a fan of Ecotools therefore I do not hesitate to bring along a few with me to work 😀
And lastly how can I forget about that huge bottle of MAC Brush Cleanser :). Don’t worry, I didn’t bring a full bottle. Just the bottle that are finishing soon.
I know that some people think that using a brush cleanser is a waste of time, money and that they will not even bother to use it? Well you see…my Sigma E25 is with white bristle. It gets so dirty even with one use. I’m always afraid that if I don’t clean the eyeshadow residue asap and leave it as it is the color will stain the bristle. And my eyes are sensitive so hygiene is important to me especially stuff that I put on the face AND eyes. So yeah. That’s just me 🙂
So what do you think? Should I reduce the numbers of the same makeup item in the pouch? The reason why I lug so much of the same item is because I feel insecure if I couldn’t find something that I suddenly thought of. Who know maybe I decided to stray from the “one week, one makeup item” philosophy on one particular morning 😀

Always love to see what is in another person’s makeup bag/pouch but I think you are the first blogger that I have read that actually carries a makeup bag instead of a pouch. Lol.
I think you carry too much makeup to work la my dear. I am guessing your handbag would have to big to accommodate this bag. I think it is fine to carry 1-2 lipsticks, glosses, an eye shadow palette, blush and loose powder but anything more than that can be quite bulky. No need to carry so many brushes la and also the brush cleanser although I understand your paranoia about staining your Sigma brush 🙂

Ahhh! You miss something :). The reason behind all this is because I do my makeup in the office. Last time when everything is done at home I bring zero makeup to work. Not even for touch up.
Actually I had 3 bag to work – a handbag, laptop bag and this 🙂
Oh yeah, I remember reading your previous post that you do your makeup in the office. Ok, then it makes sense to bring this makeup bag to work. Sorry, my bad. LOL.
😀 No worries. Once in a week I’ll go to work late and do my makeup at home. It was a fun day of the week being able to do makeup with direct sunlight 😀
wow.. that’s alot of things ? I usually will bring facial cleanse wipes as i dont apply make up in the morning.. If I needed to go out mid day or late noon, then i’ll just clean with the wipes first before applying make up..
What to do. I have to put makeup on since I’m in ad sales line :). Wouldn’t wanna scared my clients off LOL!

For me yes. I don’t want the stain to last. But it’s totally my own preference lah

Yeap. Small, not that heavy so I don’t feel anything. It’s only 1 lift with zero walk to the car.
Think of doing up makeup at home. Despite also needing only 15-20 mins you have everything next to you right? Same thing.
Cute post! I think makeup bag/ handbag contents say a lot about a person and you are super neat and look like the type of person who likes to be well prepared. Impressive! I’m ashamed to show you my ‘Mess Bags’ because they say a lot about me 🙂
That said, I am working on this and am now on my way to collecting some super cool bags from MiMi via my BOL subscription so things are looking up for this gal.
You are right. I like my things to be neat and in order. Also like cleanliness which is why I brought a near to finish bottle of MAC Brush Cleanser. It’s not that heavy anyway :). I think BOL’s bag is quite spacious. Most prolly you will only need one (the summer edition) to keep what I have in my bag LOL.
WAH ini macam a makeup bag for models or superstar lol…HAHAHA … didn’t you make up from home alrdy before going to work? I do bring makeup bag to go out but minimal… yours memang very comprehensive!
LOL. How to do makeup 5+am in the morning la babe. Plus I’m rushing for time otherwise the jam will start. I don’t bring makeup out if I’ve done it at home.
i love that hello kitty bag! not a fan of hello kitty but this is so so cute! and i like the idea of having detachable compartments. so brilliant!
I have to start using this bag cause I have twoooo. If not its going to pass down to my daughters hahahaa. So I better start using 😉
