Review: Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++, The 1st high SPF daily sunblock that is cooling and matte. Plus it comes in a convenient mist bottle

Judging from the title you might already know what I’m about to talk about today. The keyword – high SPF sunblock, matte and mist bottle already excite me 🙂

This, my friend is a brand new product imported directly from Japan. Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is the first of its kind daily sunblock that comes in a mist bottle. When I say the-first-of-its-kind, I do mean high SPF50 PA+++ with broad spectrum protection against UVA & UVB harmful rays, spray-on application, non-sticky (in my term it’s matte), odourless, cooling and colorless.

The very main reason why most people would rather go on the day without any sunblock on is the stickiness. Traditionally, daily sunblock (especially higher SPF ones) leaves a sticky residue on the skin that can cause discomfort and shine on the face. I don’t know if you’ve tried sunblock from years ago because I have and they stinks! Now you will have no excuse anymore to skip sunblock because Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is formulated with fine Silky Powder technology that gives a silky smooth feeling to the skin and it also has sweat control feature to keep the skin surface dry. In another word, Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is superb to be used on a hot and humid weather like Malaysia.

Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ comes in a mist bottle for easy and convenient spray-on application anywhere, anytime and anyplace. The bottle is in matte white, which means there will not be any residue or fingerprint on the bottle. I love matte bottle 🙂

Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ contain two types of Hyaluronic Acid namely Hyaluronic Acid and Super Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen and Amino Acids that helps to keep the skin hydrated while retaining moisture.

This daily sunblock doesn’t leave any white cast on the skin, however it is dispensed out in white especially if you spray-on too near on the same area like how I did below. But don’t freak out because the sunblock will be clear again once you spread it out and also this will not happen if you spray all over and directly to any part of the body. I usually spray like the below photo onto my palm whenever I need to use it on the face.

The best part about this Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is it’s multi-function use. It can be applied to any part of the body for example the face, body, hair and scalp. Removing is easy as it is designed to be easily washed off with any regular skin cleanser and shampoo.

You know how rebellious I am and how ignorant I am on reading instruction right? I was so excited to try this the minute I got it so I start shaking the can vigorously, hold the can a few inch away and start spraying on my face. I could feel the cooling sensation but I couldn’t feel the sunblock so I re-spray again and again until I gave up. I felt so silly because I didn’t read the description and instruction at the back of the packaging before that. Once I sit down and read, I was stoned. I’m not suppose to spray directly onto the face lololol. And then I found out that this sunblock is actually matte. That explains why I couldn’t feel the sunblock on my face. That was a facepalm moment 😀 . So yes. You heard me right. This sunblock goes on matte. To apply onto the face, spray the sunblock onto the palm and then only apply onto the face. I actually use quite a lot because it is just so matte. I wasn’t sure if I covered the whole face. Thanks to it’s Silky Powder technology, my no makeup face stays matte under the hot sun for the whole day. Literally just smooth and dry face until evening when I wash my face. Not bad for a SPF50 PA+++ I say!

  • Ok I want to try this one! So when we spray onto the hand first then only apply to face part, it is have to be quick? One whole day the face also feel dry and matte feeling ah…I want to get this!

    • Haha no la. No need to be particularly quick. Just that after you spray onto your hand and warm both palm, the product tend to dry out a bit. So I usually spray a lot. Works wonderfully for me because I have very oily skin. Normal skin girl will like this too 🙂 . It might be a bit dry for dry skin girl so always moisturize before applying sunblock. But I bet no one will skip skincare before sunblock eh?

      • Oh I will try this soon…I have normal and combination skin (oily in T-zone area), I’m really afraid of oily feeling on my face because I can get easily frustrated when I feel heat and oily…
Hmm well I skip sunblock…haha That’s why I’m so thankful with this!

        • Ahahaha you’re guilty at this too! Don’t skip sunblock dear. You’ll never know what’s developing 5-layers underneath your skin. Actually Skin Aqua sunblock has a few type that comes with mattifying powder in it one.

  • Ooo….I must give this product a try. I have combination skin and dislike the oily and sticky feel of sunblock on my body or face… I guess with this, there’s no more reason to skip using sunblock ^-^

    • That’s easy. After sunblock (the sticky one) you can lightly dust with some face powder after sunblock so the face will stay dry 🙂

      • I dislike the scent and feel of sunblock on my body so I rarely use any on my face, although I know I should….haha….so never tried dusting powder over my face after sunblock. Will try out your tip ^-^

Plus sometimes when the sunblock is the squeeze and pour out type I tend to get lazy to use it. Then I found a spray type from Etude House and the scent it not as stinky but a real heavy scent (which my bf say I smell like Ridsect after using it). So now, it mainly lies forgotten on the table.

This new sunblock seems to fit all that I am looking for odourless, matte and spray-type. Gonna be on my to-buy list 🙂

        • Hehe your bf is so cute. If he say you sell like Ridsect means it’s a bit stinky. Maybe you are used to it so you don’t feel like it 🙂

You’ll like this one. It feels nothing on the skin.

          • His nose is quite sensitive so even perfume also he will say it does not smell nice at all T_T

The sunblock smell is seriously real heavy to me, even I don’t really like it but it smells better than the old more stinky ones I had.

          • Oh yeah I remember the old stinky one. It’s the main reason why I don’t use sunblock also last time. Banana Boat is the worse lol

  • My lust senses are tingling! I want it!

  • I’m going to try this !! I always saw this brand’s sunblock but I afraid of stickeyness so I always go back to my current using brand.

    • Some sunblock comes with mattifying powder in it. Those are not oily 🙂 . This one is by far the most drying SPF50 sunblock I ever encounter.

  • Sunplay provides trusted sun block with minimal typical sun block scent. The matte function just made my hands itching for it! At first I thought it is meant to be sprayed directly onto the face since its mist formula.

    • Sunplay is never stinky. I have other Sunplay sunblock and they kinda smells good. Floral scented I think. Actually I’m not sure what harm it will do if spray directly to the face. I’ve done it. No different. Just hold the can further and close both eyes will do 😀

  • How’s the smell? Hopefully it doesn’t smell bad like the old one. Will it become oily later on the day?

    • No smell at all. It’s odourless. Nope. Face didn’t get oily later on the day.

  • I bought one too after reading your review :P. Agree with the non sticky claim, no scent and not oily. Face stays dry. Good job Sunplay!

    • Wah! You buy 50% of the products I review 😛 . Do you notice that when you spray the sunblock onto the palm, it is so freezing that I thought my hands are frozen!
