Exciting announcement ahead! Online shoppers take note 🙂
A few days ago, five leading e-commerce businesses invited members of the media over for a special press conference and so I went. I was curious with the special announcement and that I’m always interested with anything that is related to digital 🙂 . It turns out that these five e-commerce site namely Lazada, foodpanda, ZALORA, UBER and HappyFresh will join forces and resources to bring Malaysians the first ever #Unitysale. It is one of the kind in Malaysia and it will run for just 7 days only, from 26th August – 1st September, 2015. That’s even better than I expected. The power of the four little alphabet – SALE 😀
What is #Unitysale? Basically all of the five e-commerce site will be running an offering of more than 20,000 online deals and up to 94% in product discounts across individual products and services on each of the website. The campaign is a joint initiative to leverage on Malaysia’s internet users, which are rising and currently stands at a whopping 20 millions. Believe it or not, online shopping has grown leaps and bounds over the recent two years and Malaysian’s are shopping in new ways all the time. This includes an increased use of mobile devices to purchase items online; and using the Internet to research the best deals before purchasing them.
Through #Unitysale campaign, we will get to see the combination of website and consumer activation touch-points such as a mobile application and social media channels. Lazada, foodpanda, ZALORA, UBER and HappyFresh makes the perfect complete partner for each with the combination of products, services, food and beverage options, fresh produce and transport, online and offline for the consumers.
