Guardian Malaysia marks environment week with the launch of ‘Bring Your Orange Bag’ or better known as BYOB campaign in Malacca state to be in line with the State Government’s initiative to make every day a plastic bag-free day beginning 1st January 2016.

Interestingly, I find out that the 20 cents collected from every Saturday (it’s our no plastic bag day FYI) are used to create Guardian BYOB campaign. We don’t feel so bad paying that extra 20 cents now that we know that the funds are being used properly for a good cause, isn’t it? 😀

There are three exclusively-designed reusable bags launched – Trust, Passion and Inspiration. These are the three key aspects that best represent Guardian’s values.

• Trust – will be the first bag to be released depicts the reliability of Guardian’s available health products.
• Passion – representing confidence and beauty from the wide range of exclusive beauty products in Guardian stores.
• Inspiration – describes fun, overall well-being and positive-living from Guardian’s assorted lifestyle accessories.

Guardian stores in Malacca will be the first to received an early released of the first bag, Trust. It make sense as the launched was held in Malacca and Malacca is also the first state to make every day a plastic bag-free day beginning 1st January 2016.

Nationwide release will be spread over the course of three-week period as below:

• Trust – 29th October to 4th November 2015
• Passion – 5th November to 11th November 2015
• Inspiration – 12th November to 18th November 2015

Also present at the grand launch was none other than Deanna Yusoff, Malaysian actress and host. She shared with us that she have the habit of using reusable bags for many years and that she is very happy to support this cause which she herself believes in.

Guardian BYOB reusable bags will be given away to shoppers for FREE with every purchase of RM80 and above in a single receipt and limited to one bag per transaction. CIMB cardholders on the other hand will only need to spend RM60 minimum in a single receipt to get one bag for free. Do not rush or fret. There are a total of 150,000 reusable bags available for distribution 🙂
