Lifestyle Sunday: Dining in a world of miniatures at Mini Mini Cafe

If you don’t know yet, there is a new cafe in town that has been creating a lot of buzz. No, it’s not Hello Kitty cafe 😛 . It’s Mini Mini Cafe! The first, one and only in Malaysia that has miniature world theme, hence the name Mini Mini Cafe.

Mini Mini Cafe 1
A lot of people asked, what miniature am I talking about. Miniature everything! The cafe itself are decorated with specially curated miniature dolls and doll world. The food concept is also going along with the mini concept whereas you will find miniature food selection in the menu. But of course there are also a lot more normal food portion so don’t worry 😀

Mini Mini Cafe is located at 3rd Floor, South Court aka Metrojaya wing, right below GSC Cinema at Mid Valley Megamall. Basically if you are from GSC, just take the escalator down and you will find Mini Mini Cafe behind the escalator. If you still can’t find it, locate Magnum Cafe. They are just opposite 🙂 . Other landmark next to Mini Mini Cafe are La Juiceria, Sports Direct, and Quiksilver. Still can’t find? Then try asking at information counter LOL.

What I like about Mini Mini Cafe is that they are occupying 3 sections within the wing. On the left, on the right, and right at the center, which is the open area. It is impossible you will miss them. How can it be possible if they are on left, center and right eh? 😀

Mini Mini Cafe 3
I prefer the open area 🙂

Mini Mini Cafe 4
The seating area inside the cafe are cozy and private. You get to feast your eyes with various miniature doll world that are put together by the owner herself. Lots of photo opportunities 😉

I bet you have not seen this before. Each table at Mini Mini Cafe has miniatures in it! It is certainly unique as I myself are quite intrigued with it 🙂

Mini Mini Cafe is a self-service cafe therefore there are no 10% service charge. You will have to order your food and drinks at the counter and your food will be delivered to your table when it’s ready. Not quite a full self-service cafe. Maybe half?

Mini Mini Cafe 7
I went over on Tuesday during the Deepavali holiday with Jen, my friend. The crowd at the mall was insane and Mini Mini Cafe was a full house by lunch time. It was a good thing I went there early in the morning. I cannot live without my coffee and the coffee at Mini Mini Cafe happened to be my favourite as they are from Illy machine. Instead of the usual latte, I ordered a Caramel Macchiato (RM9.90). It is sweeter than a normal latte so no extra sugar needed.

Mini Mini Cafe 8
I have always been wanting to try their mini burger set. My friend and I decided on this Mini Teriyaki Rooster Burger (RM16.90). It comes in a set of 3 and each burger is not as mini as I expected! Don’t believe? Check out the photo of me with one of the mini burger below.

Mini Mini Cafe 9
See! One mini burger is not that mini. When you combined 3 mini burgers together, you get a larger than normal burger.

Mini Mini Cafe 24
I was craving for spaghetti that day. What’s new. I love spaghetti. We ordered Seafood Aglio Olio (RM18.90) as I knew this is one of their specialty spaghetti.

Mini Mini Cafe 10
We also ordered a Peanut Butter & Banana Waffle but there was no waffle that day so we changed to Cajun Omelette With Jumbo Sausage (RM14.90). This big breakfast is not the typical big breakfast so it does take some time to get used to the selection on the plate. The toasts are pan-fried egg-coated toast, which is one of my favourite. Sausages are perfect and very filling. The omelette is not my favourite as it contain caramelized onions in it. The salad on the side is superb with the special dressing. Like I said, this breakfast set is not your typical big breakfast so you have to try it personally to figure out if you like it.

Food overall taste good for me. I got all my order in a timely manner. There was no delay or whatsoever. However I was busy taking photos and chatting with my friend that the food was cold by the time we dig in. It was my fault hehe. I hope my friend don’t mind as we talk more than we chew.

Now that we are done with the food, let me walk you around the miniature dolls around the cafe. This is the main window display at the cafe front.

And the below are some of the doll display on the other part of the cafe. These are just a part of it. There are a lot more which I did not managed to take photo of. If you are a fan, do check it out yourself 😀

  • Babe, very lovely review! Mini Mini Cafe was impressive from the moment we stepped into the cafe. I love the bright lighting of the cafe. Im a visual person and I’m intrigued by the miniature decor and dolls displayed all over the cafe. What’s more amazing was the patience of the young lady meticulously putting the one of the miniature sets together. It takes a lot of time and patience to hold on to those little pieces of art, arranging and glueing them piece by piece to the surface. The food portion was just nice and allowed us to try different types of food from burger to pasta to breakfast! Yes I agree with you, the coffee was awesome! We stayed for eons at the cafe and despite the cafe running almost full house, I’m glad and grateful that Datin Jercy and crew made us felt comfortable and welcomed. At the end of our chit chat and nom nom session, the crew gave us a surprise when we asked for the bill – they sought for our feedback on terms of the food and service quality. That’s extraordinary as most establishments would not take the extra mile to ask where they could improve. So kudos to Datin Jercy and the Mini Mini Cafe crew! All in all, it was a pleasant and fun experience. We will definitely be back to try other food and beverages on their menu. To Fiona, thanks for suggesting this wonderful cafe!

    • Hehe yeah. I think I’ll go crazy if I were to assemble the miniature set. Love the coffee. Wish it comes in a jumbo size lol. Then we will be overdosed with caffeine. Next we try the pizza, cakes, waffles and everything ya. Thank you so much for the great company and chit chat. It was great to see you again and to catch up on life.
