When Laneige started their CSR program – Waterful Sharing Campaign a few years ago, they wanted to provide clean water to villages but have no idea how. This year 2016, Laneige Malaysia finally able to thanks to a collaboration with Global Peace Foundation (GPF), an international non-profit organisation. Waterful Sharing Campaign 2016 will be offering water relief to 500 orang asli residents living in the remote areas of Kampung Binjai, Pahang and Kampung Ulu Geruntum, Perak.

Currently both Kampung Binjai, Pahang and Kampung Ulu Geruntum, Perak villages do not have access to clean water and all the villages have been consuming contaminated water from the river and ponds. There have been several cases of skin problems reported, which could leads to the consumption of the untreated surface water.

Every year, Laneige will collect a certain proceed from its Waterful Sharing Campaign merchandise sale, channeling it to the Laneige Waterful Sharing Campaign Fund. This year the target is set to RM80,000 to facilitate the installation of two water filtration system; one for each village.

Laneige Waterful Sharing Campaign 2016 will kick start from 1st May to 31st July 2016 and it will be held over a period of 3-months.
