#IWillBeOkay ‘Fight Against Depression’ Awareness Campaign is entering its third campaign and thanks to everyone’s support and feedback, I am finally going to have an event. As requested by you 🙂 .

#IWillBeOkay Trail Hike is the first and probably the only event I am going to held for 2017, however the campaign, the awareness initiatives and fundraising will still continues with the usual online engagements. The reason why I wanted to have an actual event is because I want everyone who is battling with depression to know that you have the ability to get better and that you are not alone. I find sweaty, mind and physically challenging event like running, HIIT, hiking etc helped me tremendously. And so I want you to have or at least try the same experience as I had. It will be a morning of activities, fun and also to talk more on why engaging activities like this is important for those who are suffering from depression.

Post-Event Report: A Retro Fun and Easy Run at Symphony Life That ‘70s Run

There are a lot of factors involved as to why I stop registering myself to a running event, such as location and parking. Now, this Symphony Life That ‘70s Run is a different story. It may seems a little bit too far for most of my friends (hehe!) but for me, this event is just 20 minutes away from my house. Like finally! A running event so near me! The run was held at BizWalk, Taman Tasik Prima, Puchong. The parking spaces are ample! I usually reach minimum an hour early to secure myself a parking space. And because the location has a lot of parking space, I parked quite near to the starting line.

If you have been following me on Instagram close enough, you will know that I am pretty much into Metafit Bodyweight HIIT training now. I used to do every other workout as a part of cross-training but now Metafit has become my main workout besides sprinting and running. Just so you are not confused, I am very much into running for the past one year plus. I slowed down a lot on running as I find it to be a bit too routine for me so I adapted sprinting, and later on sign up for Metafit. Metafit is a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) training, which in my opinion is way way wayyyy better workout for anyone who are into working out the whole body. You sweat a lot, you get sore, you move a lot and you use every single muscle of your body. It is a short workout but an intense one.

I started the whole fitness journey with just running alone. Running is the most simplest workout to start with for a newbie, although I must admit I still hate running and it is not as easy as it seems. When I run, I wear lesser because I can get hot very fast and I sweat a lot (Read: healthy 😛 ). However because I do have shin splints issue since the beginning, I started to wear long pants which has compression in it to help to lessen muscle soreness and to help with recovery.

As running has been in trend over the past few years especially this year, what makes a running event fun to participate? A thematic run such as Symphony Life That ‘70s Run!

Time: 7.30 am

That ’70s Run is a retro-themed run, which everything is retro way back to the 70s. It is even more fun and enjoyable to participate in a thematic run when every particpants come dress up in 70s outfits. Although it is not compulsory but the organizer highly encourage you to do so. Afterall, it is a retro-themed run 😉

Lifestyle Sunday: Trying Out WarriorsLab Personal Training Workout Session

Exactly one week ago on a Sunday, I was asked by a friend if I would want to try out WarriorsLab personal training session. Knowing how awkward if will be if I were to go alone, I ask one of my running buddy Julian if he would like to come along for some cross-training session. You see, me and Julian we are very much into running. Nothing but just running. It is only recently that my friend Julian started on cross-training as a preparation for Viper Challenge, which happened yesterday. Long story cut short, we have no idea what WarriorsLab was and what we have gotten ourself into. I asked the friend who invited me what is it about and she said “kickboxing”. Hah! Kickboxing. Interesting. I only pray that I did not tear some muscles on that day lol.
