Review: Estée Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Crème SPF 35/PA+++

This review is the most exciting one for me to write as I’ve tried and love the new Estée Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Extra Intensive BB Crème SPF 35/PA+++. Phew! What a mouthful. I’m just gonna refer this as BB Crème ya. This is also one of the many product which I bought after trying a sample. No doubt many people redeemed sample just for the fun of doing it (no offense, it’s the reality!) but I genuinely wanted to try before purchasing. So kudos to sampling program!

Clarins Make Up - Eyes Make Up - Face Review: Make Up

Review: Clarins Mono Couleur #16 Pink Frost, #23 Silver Green & Clarins Blush Prodige #05 Rose Wood

During one of my Clarins haul in December 2011 I won myself a makeup set in a lucky draw with purchase of RM580 and above. In this makeup set there’s a Clarins Mini Make-Up Palette! I was extremely delighted as I’m always curious about Clarins makeup products and this mini palette enable me to try both their eyeshadow and blusher.

This mini make-up palette comes in a luxurious square gold casing which is the same gold casing from their normal makeup palette except for the “Clarins” word in the middle of course. It’s hard to take a nice, bright picture of the casing as the word just doesn’t pop out! I have to put down all the shades to take this picture. It’s not bright and clear but at least the word is visible now 🙂

A brief description of the mono eyeshadow and blush shade.
Mono Couleur #16 Pink Frost and #23 Silver Green is only 0.8g each. Meanwhile Blush Prodige #05 Rose Wood is 1.3g which is slightly more but still small for a blusher brush to swipe around.

The mini palette is such an adorable palette even just by looking at it makes me happy. It comes with a full size mirror and a mini applicator which I’ll not use. I’m used to applying my eyeshadow using a proper brush.

The color combination is exactly what I like in a palette. It’s shimmering but not too over. Soft color for the inner corner and darker color for the crease to outer corner. Blush is pinkish which is what I normally wear.  I also like that this palette only has 2 eyeshadow color and not 3 or 4 or even 5. Sometimes I just need a simple palette like this which doesn’t need much thinking but just apply. Perfect.

Here’s the swatch on the back of my hand. The color payoff is surprisingly good! I’ve read lots of good review and boy I wasn’t disappointed. It’s soft, smooth and easy to apply + blend. A swipe of these on top of a good eye primer will enhance the color more.

Here’s how it looks like on my lid. Sorry that the sun light is too bright that you can’t see very clearly on my lid. And I normally like to blend till the color soften so the color is not too intense on me.

Honestly Clarins makeup range is not that bad. It’s actually very good! If you are on the lookout for new makeup to buy, why not try Clarins. It’s really worth it.

Clarins Make Up - Remover Review: Make Up Skin Care - Cleanser Skin Care - Scrubs

Review: Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser With Orange Extract

My current makeup remover is the Cleansing Milk With Gentian by Clarins. Love it to bits. I went to Clarins counter a few months ago with the intention to repurchase but Fennie suggested that I try Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser With Orange Extract on alternate.

Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser With Orange Extract is 125ml in tube and it’s retailing for RM107. Slightly more than Cleansing Milk with Gentian.

Surprisingly the back of the tube is full with different language on how to use this.

Orange extract softens – refreshes and revives.
Moringa Seed extract – purifies and refines while preserving your skin’s natural moisture level. Gentle Silica Microbeads – tackle clogged pores.

In a nutsell, this is a makeup remover cum gentle scrub. If you already have a different facial scrub just like me, fret not. The exfoliating action of this is not as harsh as you think. This is more runnier and creamier than conventional facial scrub product. To show you how to use and what I meant by “runnier and creamier than conventional scrub products”, here is a simple step-by-step demo.

In this demo I’m using Make Up For Ever High Definition Foundation. I squeeze just a bit onto the back of my hand.

Then I spread the foundation out just like how you’d wear the foundation on your face.

First damp your face, squeeze some to your fingertip.
Note: I squeeze the cleanser next to the foundation for you to see clearly on the color and texture of the cleaner.

Massage onto face and work into a lather and proceed to exfoliate. Remember to avoid the eye area ya.

Rinse with warm water and voilà! Soft and clean face.

This really works well in removing my makeup and at the same time cleanse and exfoliate traces from my face. The cleanser do smell like an orange though. It’s stingy to the eyes so make sure you close you eyes tightly and avoid the eye area at all cost.

1) Makeup remover, cleanser and exfoliator at one go.
2) Pricey. Try alternating this with other makeup remover.
3) Smells like orange!
4) Refreshing and cleans throughly.

Definitely a yes. Indeed I purchase this after given a 75ml trial size by a friend to try 🙂

Make Up - Lips Maybelline Review: Make Up

Review: Maybelline Baby Lips Limited NY Fashion Edition #Protecting Berry

Right after Maybelline Malaysia Facebook page posted the latest Baby Lips flavors; Cherry Velvet, Mango Pie and Mixed Berry. . . I dropped by Watsons KLCC to purchase one. I choose Mixed Berry but weird enough my tube said Protecting Berry. It’s NY Fashion Limited Edition. I’m always tempted with the word “limited edition” phew.

What makes me choose Maybelline Baby Lips #Protecting Berry? To be honest it’s the packaging! Second is the flavor and third is the affordable price which is RM10.90. I’m a sucker for pretty packaging lol.

The tube is just like any other lip balm tube available in the market. Did I mention that I love love loveee the packaging? The lip balm color of Protecting Berry is in light peach. Something which I’m looking forward to see rather than plain white.

Simple! Just twist the balm up and apply onto lips! For me I like to apply a layer before applying lipstick. I also will apply this lip balm onto bare lips in between and as well as before sleep. I like waking up in soft lips!

Here is how Baby Lips color on the back of my hand. It’s transparent.

In terms of moisturizing, yes it does work for me. I find this more moisturizing than Hada Labo Lip Moisturizer. And the berry scent is not too overpowering for me.

1) Affordable for everyone, event students and teenagers.
2) Striking color packaging.
3) Very moisturizing.
4) Scent is acceptable and not too overpowering.
5) Wonderful for dry chapped lips.

Are you kidding me? Definitely yes!

Make Up - Lips Review: Make Up RMK

Review: RMK Lip Gloss H-03 Holographic Strawberry Pink

I’m not a lip gloss fan. I have a handful of lip gloss but I never use them unless it’s emergency. And I had a case of emergency which require me to wear lip gloss. The emergency that I was talking about is none other than dry chapped lips 😛

I had this tube of RMK lip gloss in H-03 Holographic Strawberry Pink since last year. Since my Mac LipGlass in My Dear is hitting the pan, I dug this out from my stash.

The first time I twist the cap off, I was disappointed to find that the applicator is in a plastic wand. I don’t like the idea of using a plastic “spatula” to apply lip gloss on the lips! Boy I was so wrong. The applicator is actually a brush. As it was new the brush bristle is intact. Silly me.

This baby here may looked a bit too pinkish on the outside but it’s not as pink as it seem on the lips and even on the swatch below. If apply solely the color is MLBB (my lips but better). Normally I’d apply this on top of lip stick which is on top of a lip balm. Talking about triple protection lol.

I’m liking this lip gloss because it’s not sticky AT ALL, it doesn’t give you a white line on the inner of the lips and it’s long lasting. It feel just like you had lip balm on the lips instead of lip gloss.

I’m not sure if you can get RMK Lip Gloss H-03 Holographic Strawberry Pink here in Malaysia where I live as my friend got it for me straight from Japan.

Have a nice Monday!
