Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Essence: Saved my dry skin within 3 days

Something funny happened to me lately. I don’t know if it’s the age, the recent hot weather or the change with my skin condition that causes my skin to be dry lately. For the first time in my life I am actually enjoying a less oilier skin. I do not need to be worry about shiny face, blotting or makeup meltdown. I was enjoying a full day out without stressing about finding a mirror to check on my face. But I am also aware that I have to do something about dry skin. I re-evaluate my day and night skincare and boom! I realized I have not been using any hydrating product AT ALL. I went on a frantic search in my stash praying hard I have something stuck somewhere so I do not have to buy. Luck was on my side as I found this Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Essence, which I received quite some time ago but never gotten around it. Perfect timing.

Interestingly, when photos of the NEW SK-II Mid-Day Miracle Essence and Mid-Night Miracle Essence popped up on the internet, I was wondering what it was because of the description on the bottle and that it doesn’t looked like a mist at all. What’s even more interesting is that the word “Pitera” printed on the bottle. I read that this new duo are actually the on-the-go version of the famous Facial Treatment Essence.

I found out that the inspiration behind this duo came from SK-II Global Brand Ambassador and Academy award-winning actress Cate Blanchett herself. When asked at the recent Google Hangout Live chat recently on how she keep her skin fresh all day while on-the-go, Cate said that she would decanted out a small amount of Facial Treatment Essence and put it into a small spray bottle. She would sit at the back of the car and mist all over her face. This small little trick helped to keep her skin moisturize from day to night even under the heavy makeup. Now that SK-II had came out with the mist version for the convenient of everyone who wish to bring their favourite Facial Treatment Essence out and about, let’s see how does it fare on our Malaysia hot humid weather and if it really does wonders for me as it does to Cate Blanchett 😀

I finally came to the realisation that I do not have oily skin at all. In fact I have normal skin at the moment and probably dehydrated at times. For the last two months or so, I’ve been enjoying matte face while having makeup on. I would put on makeup in the morning, go out mingling the whole day and returned home in the evening with a slight shine on my T-zone. To be honest, I’ve no problem with the box at all. Well, a good and attractive packaging sells.
