Review: Luminous Skin That Shines from Within with Neesya 360° Overnight Radiance System

In my quest for skin care that are not only affordable but also deliver as per claim, I was introduced to a brand new skin care brand – Neesya which is one of Malaysia’s first skin radiance specialist brand. Yeap you heard me right :D. Neesya is a local brand, by a Malaysia company.

Neesya was launched just before middle of last month (July 2013) and I was one of the selected invitee. You can read this post for more of that. Not only did I went for the media launch and also a little visit to their new store at Subang Parade, I get to try 3 Neesya products a few weeks before that.

So how did my quest went? Let’s find out 😀

The trio that I tried is the 360° Overnight Radiance System that consists of Lumi°™ Brightening Enzymatic Refiner, LumiScience°™ Illuminating Essence and Lumi°™ Brightening Overnight Mask. So what’s up with the “Lumi” and “LumiScience” word in front of the product name you may ask? It’s actually the product range name 🙂

Review: Clarins Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream With Microbeads is One Harsh Scrub But Gentle On The Skin And I Like The Way It Is

If you are facing congested pores, excess oil secretion and large pores issue like what I had you might want to start implementing facial scrub into your cleansing regime. Facial scrub is one of a must-have product that I don’t mind stocking up. Currently I’m rotating between 4 different type of scrub and I’m not shy to admit that I scrub my face on every alternate days. Some of you might think I’m over-scrubbing my face. For normal skin type yes, as for me it’s not too much at all because of my congested skin condition.

It is not a surprise that Clarins is still one of the skin care that I am still using till to date although I haven’t been reviewing their product much nowadays. That’s because I’ve reviewed most of the Clarins that I have on hand. As I’ve gone through 2 tubes of Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream With Microbeads it struck me one day that I had totally forgotten to review this. I guess it’s never too late since this is not seasonal or limited edition item within the brand. It’s permanent don’t worry 🙂

Clarins went through a packaging revamp phase back in 2011. This last tube that I had in my stash is the new packaging. Absolutely love the new look and packaging. The signature white interface with red wording is still maintained as it has been Clarins signature for so many years.

Olive & Tebe Review: Skin Care Skin Care - Scrubs

Review: Tebe Cleansing Face Polish; Olive Goodness in a Tube

One of the facial scrub that I’ve been rotating around is none other than Tebe Cleansing Face Polish that I acquired many months ago. Nearly forgotten to review this until I emptied the tube last week. But fret not…I managed to squeeze the scrub out to swatch for the review 🙂

By far this is the most expensive facial scrub that I ever bought. And the happiest purchase too. I’m very much into Olive goodness and it’s not easy to find something that are made from pure olive extract. Hence the purchase 🙂

The packaging is real simple. Just a flip-cap tube. The tube on the other hand is also well-made. I’ve been twisting, squeezing, pulling the last bit out of the tube and there’s still no visible damage on it. I’ve heard stories on how this type of tube from other brands broke by the side but mine is still going strong after all the torture I put it through lol!

Clarins Make Up - Remover Review: Make Up Skin Care - Cleanser Skin Care - Scrubs

Review: Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser With Orange Extract

My current makeup remover is the Cleansing Milk With Gentian by Clarins. Love it to bits. I went to Clarins counter a few months ago with the intention to repurchase but Fennie suggested that I try Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser With Orange Extract on alternate.

Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser With Orange Extract is 125ml in tube and it’s retailing for RM107. Slightly more than Cleansing Milk with Gentian.

Surprisingly the back of the tube is full with different language on how to use this.

Orange extract softens – refreshes and revives.
Moringa Seed extract – purifies and refines while preserving your skin’s natural moisture level. Gentle Silica Microbeads – tackle clogged pores.

In a nutsell, this is a makeup remover cum gentle scrub. If you already have a different facial scrub just like me, fret not. The exfoliating action of this is not as harsh as you think. This is more runnier and creamier than conventional facial scrub product. To show you how to use and what I meant by “runnier and creamier than conventional scrub products”, here is a simple step-by-step demo.

In this demo I’m using Make Up For Ever High Definition Foundation. I squeeze just a bit onto the back of my hand.

Then I spread the foundation out just like how you’d wear the foundation on your face.

First damp your face, squeeze some to your fingertip.
Note: I squeeze the cleanser next to the foundation for you to see clearly on the color and texture of the cleaner.

Massage onto face and work into a lather and proceed to exfoliate. Remember to avoid the eye area ya.

Rinse with warm water and voilà! Soft and clean face.

This really works well in removing my makeup and at the same time cleanse and exfoliate traces from my face. The cleanser do smell like an orange though. It’s stingy to the eyes so make sure you close you eyes tightly and avoid the eye area at all cost.

1) Makeup remover, cleanser and exfoliator at one go.
2) Pricey. Try alternating this with other makeup remover.
3) Smells like orange!
4) Refreshing and cleans throughly.

Definitely a yes. Indeed I purchase this after given a 75ml trial size by a friend to try 🙂

Review: Clarins White Plus Renewing Gentle Exfoliator

Instead of doing a review on the current Clarins White Plus HP Gentle Brightening Exfoliator, I’m gonna review on the previous version before Clarins changed the name and packaging; Clarins White Plus Renewing Gentle Exfoliator.

Last December 2011 I went to Clarins’ Beauty Fair and I bought 3 White Plus Renewing Gentle Exfoliator for RM40 each. It’s the same with the current Gentle Brightening Exfoliator. The only different is the name and the design on the packaging. That’s all.

I always like their slim non-slippery squeeze tube. It’s a simple design which I’d appreciate. However the new design looks much better than this old design. But not to worry. You won’t be able to get this anymore hehe.

As usual Clarins kept the info on the back of the tube short and sweet. You need to refer to the insert included inside the box for full description, ingredients and how to apply instruction.

Every new tube comes with a protection seal. The dispensing hole is quite small. Which is good as you won’t be squeezing more than what’s needed 🙂

The first thing that caught my attention is how white the exfoliator is. Then there’s this heavenly scent. You’d know what I mean if you’re a Clarins user. The product’s scent is nice but not too overpowering.

Then there’s small orange beads inside the exfoliator.

Simple. Apply and massage in circular motion onto face avoiding the eye area and rinse with water.

This exfoliator is creamy and hydrating. There’s no dryness or tightening sensation after using. On long regular use one could see result. I paired this with their Intensive Clear Mask so the result is much more faster and visible.

1) Creamy and hydrating. Doesn’t leave skin dry after using.
2) Easy to use
3) Smells heavenly.
4) Visible result if use regularly as per instruction.

Definitely! But I have another 2 unopened tube so repurchasing would only be after finishing the 3 tubes 🙂

Review: Clarins White Plus HP Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel

One of my favourite whitening product from Clarins is definitely the White Plus HP Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel.

I’m lucky to score two bottle from previous PWP promotion and I only paid RM99 per bottle. This is 125ml and it’s retailing for RM152.

What exactly is Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel? The name makes no sense to me at first until the BA explains to me what is it and what is the usage of this. In short. . . this is a liquid “scrub” which is why Clarins named it “peel”. You can’t see or feel the scrubbing but it’s doing the dead skin peeling job. One thing for sure; I like the shiny pinkish smooth oval bottle heh!

Although the peel is in liquid but it’s not entirely runny type of liquid. When you shake the bottle you can hear hard liquid sound inside. Something like melted gelato? The dispenser head is just like normal but it doesn’t dispense anything out unless you squeeze the bottle. When you stop squeezing the dispensing stop. I like the idea a lot as it prevent dispensing more than enough content out.

Instruction from Clarins – Apply with a cotton pad soaked in lotion. Use on the face and neck, avoiding the eye contour area.

Okay. I don’t follow entirely what’s printed on the bottle nor I ever read the insert. I have 2 ways of using this peel.

Before mask – I’d use a cotton pad to apply on the face, leave it for 5-10 minutes and apply my mask. Either it’s sheet mask or Clarins wash-off mask.
Before toner – After cleansing face, use a cotton pad to apply on the face, leave for 10 minutes and apply toner follow by usual skin care routine. I learn this from reading other review.

Yes it does. My skin is smoother, skin care absorb better after using this and this is gentle enough to be use everyday! But of course I still have my other scrub from Clarins which I’d use one a week :). However this is a must for me before any mask.

1) Gentle to be use everyday. There’s no burning sensation unlike other scrubs in the market.
2) One bottle really really last long. I think I’m not even used up 1/4 of the first bottle. It’s really worth the money.
3) After using this skin care absorb better.
4) Good for lazy simple person that hate spending time scrubbing.

I already did ;). And yes I’d repurchase in the future after finishing the 2 bottles I have on hand. It’s gonna be a long time before I get to make a purchase lol.
