I am a little lazy when it comes to anti-ageing thanks to my oily skin. Not sure if you are aware that people who have oily skin are commonly known to have no wrinkle if not lesser. I am too caught up with combating excessive oil secretion and lightening acne marks that I have neglected anti-ageing. It’s about time I started on anti-ageing…afterall I’m not young anymore 😛
Anti-ageing is more than just wrinkle on the face. When you age your skin will age too. The signs of ageing is quite common such as having fine lines, wrinkle, lost of collagen, lost of elasticity, lost of firming and lost of hydration. The question that I get people asking all the time is what age is the right age to start anti-ageing skin care regime. I believe one should start using anti-ageing products in the 20s. Please keep in your mind that starting anti-ageing products in the 20s is only damage prevention not damage reversal. You will then notice that you will need different product in your 20s, 30s, 40s and so on.

Yesterday was the media launch for Talika’s first ever skin care line, Photo-Beauty Therapy®. This line are divided into 2 categories namely Anti-Ageing Line and Brightening Line. Although Photo-Beauty Therapy® line has 2 different category…the product line-up is pretty simple and straight to the point.
The launch was held at Mezzanine Floor at North Point Mid Valley. I was on the afternoon group with was the 2nd batch of media that gets a first hand preview and experience of the new addition to the Talika family.
Event was initiated by Cindy Lim; Talika Malaysia Assistant Product Manager and later on the floor was handed over to Rebeccah; Trainer for Luxasia Malaysia. Rebeccah wanted us to warm up by having a small group activities. Oh gosh lol.
I have large pores all my life. I was born with it although some people told me that’s nonsense but as far as I can remember I do have large pores since I was young. That’s the fact and not nonsense to me. This also mean that I have combination to oily skin. I guess you knew that by now :).
Dry skin people will told me they envy that I have oily skin while I’d told them I would prefer a dry skin. Ironic isn’t it? We are constantly hoping for something that are totally the opposite of what we had. As hard it is to remove wrinkle, it is also a challenge to reduce large pores. As we age the skin moves towards the graviti making the pores even larger. So we are constantly in this tug of war.
I stop hunting for pore reducer product because nothing works permanently. Almost all that I’ve tried only managed to reduce the size temporary. So when someone tried to introduce a product that claimed to reduce my pathetic pore size, I’d just give them a wink and smile. I mean mine are one tough case. That’s like impossible!
