Have you notice that I don’t review sheet mask? For various reasons, sheet mask is one beauty product that I don’t review. Main reason being the fact that I’m not fond of sheet mask as I find it not convenient for me when I blog on the couch at night. The second reason is that I don’t feel comfortable having a sheet mask slap onto my face for the whole wide world to see

I have to bring you back to last year, just before Chinese New Year where I was approached by a reader to review a mask called TT Mask. I turned her down and she get the distributer company to approach me again. At that point of time I thought I can do it but from a different angle. Who am I kidding? How many angle can I think of when it comes to reviewing sheet mask eh? Silly me . Fast forward a little and I bought some mask to use and for just-in-case-I-decided-to-review-it.

Timeless Truth Mask, which is also known as TT Mask was brought into Malaysia by TT Mask Trading back in August 2012. Timeless Truth Malaysia is the brand representative in Malaysia to support Timeless Truth’s expansion in Malaysia.

TT Mask carry all sorts of sheet mask assortment targeted for different skin types. The varieties is quite huge so I’m not going to highlight one by one. One of their specialty mask which is also the most unique sheet mask that I’ve ever seen is Timeless Truth Functionality Mask. The idea to review Timeless Truth Functionality Mask came to me out of the sudden and I don’t even have the time to reorder one of the mask which I’ve ran out. So please pardon me for a missing mask

Okay so. There is a total of five types of Timeless Truth Functionality Mask namely Green Tea Phenol Soothing Mask (Green packaging), Multipeptide Calming Revitalizing Mask (Pink packaging), Charcoal Deep Whitening Mask (Black packaging), Deep Sea Extract Moisturizing Mask (Blue packaging) and Herbal Rejuvenation Immortelle Mask (Yellow packaging).

Since I have 4 out of 5 Timeless Truth Functionality Mask with me, I’m going to review Green Tea Phenol Soothing Mask, which is for immediate skin soothing and helps with problem skin. My skin has been acting up lately due to the hot weather so this will be my choice of mask for the purpose. And it has anti-aging benefit too

I bet you have not seen any mask that are this colorful and with checkered before. I have not too. This checkered print on the sheet mask is one of the specialty of TT Mask I must say. Most sheet mask I used before is either in plain ol’ white sheet or jelly sheet. Another plus point when it comes to Timeless Truth Functionality Mask is that each mask contain 30ml of essence in it. What I usually do with the excess essence is to store it to the fridge for the next day use together with a plain cotton mask. The amount of essence is just nice for another round of quick 5-minutes mask.

One side of Timeless Truth Functionality Mask is lighter in color while the side facing the plastic film is darker. This darker side is the side where you apply the mask onto your face. Many people did not read the instruction properly and just remove the film and place the mask onto the face. If you ask me does it make any difference between applying the lighter side or the darker side of the mask? Yes and no. No it doesn’t make any difference since both side is soaked in essence in the package BUT do also take note that the mask is folded in this way that your hands (may be clean or dirty) handles the mask so technically it is not hygienic to place this contaminated side onto your face. This is the reason why one side is protected with a plastic film because you don’t really touch that part when handling the mask. I find it to be a brilliant way to make the mask one side in darker color and the other side in lighter color so that you won’t get confuse during the application.

Now that I’ve told you two uniqueness of Timeless Truth Functionality Mask, this is the third unique point that I find. It is the most fitting mask I’ve ever used. I’m never good with sheet mask. They always looked awfully applied on me. Some are way too big while some are too small. Some doesn’t comes with pre-cut sections while some pre-cut sections are weirdly done. With Timeless Truth Functionality Mask, I can apply the mask on without any problem at all. It just fits onto the shape of my face nicely. I really like that there wasn’t any essence dripping from my chin and smoothing any air bubble out is so easy. The scent is also my favourite. It is simply soothing, not overpowering like other sheet mask.

At this point of time, you can also take the extra essence from the package and applied it on top of the sheet mask or on your neck. Sometimes I like to dip my fingers into the packaging and pat onto the sheet mask besides saving it for the next day. And the best part of all? This mask is so form fitting that I can still laze on the couch while blogging. It just stay put on my face without budging.

Fourth uniqueness is the non-sticky formula. Most sheet mask will need rinsing after taking off the sheet mask but not this one. I know about all the patting in the essence on the face bla bla bla but trust me, it is still sticky. I never have that problem with Timeless Truth Functionality Mask. Usually I just lightly tap the excess essence on my face and continue with my chore. The essence dries down completely leaving no sticky traces except for a smooth face.

Here’s the Before and After. How about that! The pimple redness on my forehead is tamed down. Eczema patch on my right eyebrow is still there but I’m not hard up on that. I need special cream for that. Dark circle is reduced and overall complexion is brighter too.

Remember a few weeks ago I shared with you a small beauty tips on Facebook? This tips is actually from the founder of MIVVA beauty box. I once ask her about her flawless complexion and she told me she use sheet mask every single day. When she started MIVVA, she was under a lot of pressure and her skin was in a bad condition according to her. So she started to use sheet mask every day. Slowly her skin changed from bad to good and now flawless. I’ve tried this tips a few weeks ago since I have a lot of sheet mask lying around. Within just 5 days I can see glow peeking through my skin. There was no break out at all and no matter how late I sleep I still woke up with glowing skin. But of course I did not neglect my daily skin care regime at all. The mask I used throughout the 5 days is none other than Timeless Truth Functionality Mask.

This review came a bit late so I bet many of you have tried Timeless Truth Functionality Mask. But if you haven’t, do give it a try. You won’t regret trying it as it did changed my perception on sheet mask completely. Once you go checkered, you will never turn back
