Fans of ASTALIFT Jelly Aquarysta would be happy to know that the brand’s best-selling product now comes with improved formula and a newly designed jar.

FUJIFILM Malaysia, who carries the brand ASTALIFT recently launched the latest version of ASTALIFT Jelly Aquarysta. The brand first made its appearance in 2012 and Jelly Aquarysta has become the epitome of ASTALIFT. Not just in Malaysia but worldwide.

Jelly Aquarysta is a jelly-type beauty essence to help combat skin dryness and to keep skin looking young, radiant, and lustrous using human-type nano ceramide. With the improvised formula, the NEW Jelly Aquarysta now contains TWO human-type nano ceramide to enhance its moisturizing function, which is known as “human-type nano acyl ceramide”. This moisturizing ingredient is the world’s smallest at 20nm-level.

Ceramide holds one of the important role in replenishing and retaining water content inside the skin’s keratin layer to provide optimum hydration. Natural ceramides in the skin decreases with age. The new “human-type nano acyl ceramide” is proven to lock and prevent moisture evaporation by 6 times more than normal acyl ceramide molecules. By using two ceramides in the new Jelly Aquarysta, it further enhances the moisturzing capabilities by 1.6 times more, making the skin barrier function significantly improved by 2.3 times.

The red colour you see on the product is Astaxanthin. Astaxanthin is a red ingredient that gives elasticity and resilience to the skin. The improved version of Jelly Aquarysta features double the amount of nano astaxanthin.

To ensure these two types of ceramides remains in a stable state, an unique jelly texture is used. Just like the old Jelly Aquarysta, the surface of the jelly is able to repair itself and go back to the original smooth and flat state within 1-2 minutes. So don’t be surprised the next time you open the cap and saw the product as if it is still new haha!

If I have to be honest, I am not a fan of the old Jelly Aquarysta formula as it is too sticky for my skin. However, this new one is far more better. All you need is just a little bit of the product and it will smooth out through the whole face. It is definitely lighter texture than the old formulation and not sticky too!

The new jar features a more sophisticated red design with a red spatula. During the media launch, it is said that transparent spatula tend to be hard to find if we ever lost or drop it on the floor BUT the new spatula is now in red and it is much more easier to find. Funny how I find it to be so true!

I like how attention ASTALIFT is. In order to ensure everyone uses the correct amount of product, they included a guide as to how much jelly to use each application on the back of the jar. Thumbs up!

And another new feature of the new ASTALIFT Jelly Aquarysta jar design is the removable refill base. Some countries are selling the refill so if you do encounter the refill for sale, do grab them up as it is more cost effective to just change the refill

Not many know that ASTALIFT is actually a Japanese award-winning anti-aging skincare brand by FUJIFILM. Yes, FUJIFILM the multinational photography and imaging company! You know Instax? The polaroid camera that everyone has been crazy about? That’s by FUJIFILM.

I’m not into the whole polaroid craze so my only memory towards ASTALIFT has always been their anti-aging skin care range. And actually I get to know ASTALIFT long before they were even in Malaysia. From Singapore to be precise . I subscribed for Vanity Trove March 2012 box and that’s how I get to try ASTALIFT. Now, two years later ASTALIFT is replacing and renaming it’s whitening skin care range to ASTALIFT White with the launch of it’s new whitening skin care products.

ASTALIFT White, as the name suggest is a whitening skin care series aiming to help women in their 20s to 40s in fighting age spots and dull complexion. Besides changing the formula and renamed, this series is also enriched with a new brightening ingredient – Nano AMA. Combined with other effective whitening ingredients such as Arbutin, Vitamin C, three other types of collagen to deliver the feel of firmer skin and let’s not forget about ASTALIFT’s signature ingredient – Astaxanthin. It is considered as nature’s most powerful super antioxidants and whitening capabilities to help inhibit melanin production in the skin. ASTALIFT White is able to produce an advanced whitening effects that inhibit melanin production in the skin while achieving a more brighter and translucent complexion at the same time.

What I REALLY like about the NEW ASTALIFT White is no doubt it’s three products series. It’s simple and easy to use this way. The series includes a whitening lotion, a whitening cream to lock the essence into the skin and a Signature Product – ASTALIFT White Essence Infilt. Although the series is just comprising of three products, rest assured that users will achieve the maximum results by using all three products simultaneously over a regular period of time. How? Regular usage will shield skin from inflammatory stress caused by UV rays, environmental damage which active melanin generation and the skin will increase resistance to age spots.

ASTALIFT White Lotion (RM158 / 150ml)

This is a moisturising lotion that contain:

• All new brightening ingredient, Nano AMA.
• Arbutin – whitening active.
• ASTALIFT signature ingredient, Astaxanthin – super antioxidant ingredient to prevent age-related damage and three types of collagen to improve skin firmness and elasticity.
• Seaweed Extract – to moisturise the skin

It is a lotion that is rich but yet non-sticky and easily absorbed into the skin with gentle palm-pressing method. It also has high moisture retention for a more softer and smoother skin.

Signature Product: ASTALIFT White Essence Infilt (RM158 / 15ml or RM288 / 30ml)

The Signature product in this new ASTALIFT White series is the Essence Infilt. It contain:

• Nano AMA – highest concentration in the whole ASTALIFT White series.
• Whitening ingredients and Vitamin C.
• Yeast Extract – to boost collagen production for prevention melanin from sinking into dermis layer of the skin, which can cause permanent skin pigmentation.
• ASTALIFT signature ingredient, Astaxanthin – super antioxidant ingredient with three types of collagen for skin-firming benefits.

Despite having the highest concentration of Nano AMA, it is still non-sticky and easily absorbed into the skin with a quick and simple massage and palm pressing method.

ASTALIFT White Cream (RM208 / 30g)

Never ever ever skip cream because cream molecule is relatively larger and it’s first function is to lock all the essence applied prior into the skin. It is also to provide high moisture retention to the skin by forming a thin veil of hydration. This veil of hydration helps to seal in all the whitening ingredients from White Lotion and White Essence Infilt. This cream contain:

• All new brightening ingredient, Nano AMA.
• Arbutin – whitening active ingredient.
• ASTALIFT signature ingredient, Astaxanthin – super antioxidant ingredient and three types of collagen to improve skin firmness and elasticity.
• Apricot Extract – to increase skin cell turnover rate and boost natural production of hyaluronic acid.

This cream is quite rich so apply half the recommended amount during the day if your skin is combination / oily. None the less it is easily absorbed and diminish fine lines even after one usage. I tested this and saw that my hand is less wrinkly at the media launch

People always say, prevention is better than cure because it is not easy to treat age spots and pigmentations. So ASTALIFT took this opportunity to introduce a brand new sunscreen – ASTALIFT Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ PA++++ that will be replacing the existing Day Protector White SPF50+ PA++++.

The NEW Perfect UV Protector comes with SPF50+ and PA++++ for a maximum protection against the sun. It contain FUJIFILM’s proprietary Deep UV Guard Technology that offers an unprecedented level of protection against UVA rays in the longest wavelength region of 370-400nm that can penetrate deep into the skin which can cause age spots and loss of firmness.

ASTALIFT Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ PA++++ (RM158 / 30ml)

Besides using it as a sunscreen, Perfect UV Protector is also a day-use beauty essence or even as makeup base with it’s combination of super antioxidants, Astaxanthin and Lycopene, add that with three types of collagen and Hyaluronic Acid and you get a product that helps to repair damaged skin. One of the key ingredient is Light Analyzing Powder that helps to absorb and control light reflection on the skin surface in order to achieve a brighter skin tone.

As I said earlier this product is also suitable to use a makeup base. if you are someone who doesn’t like to pile up too much product on the face, you’ll like this one. The formula’s resistance to perspiration keeps makeup on all day.

In a nutshell, Perfect UV Protector contain:

• FUJIFILM’s proprietary Deep UV Guard Technology – to protect against the most skin-damaging UVA rays.
• Light Analyzing Powder – to control light reflection and absorption for a brighter skin tone.

While most brand is evolving from whitening to brightening, ASTALIFT still maintain it’s whitening skin care range, which is not a bad idea at all. It is undeniable that Asian who is exposed to more sun ray than other parts of the world is very much into having a fairer skin. Whitening products is known to cause dryness to the skin but not this new ASTALIFT White. The formulation is hydrating but yet non-sticky and light on the skin, making it easier to be absorbed into the skin.
