Last year I wasn’t able to run at the PUMA Night Run 2016 due to “runner’s feet” syndrom aka Plantar Fasciitis, which my friend referred to as the “Planta” . Because I already registered as media months before, I still went as I do not want to back out last minute. I wouldn’t want to miss the event for anything! Plus I will be fulfilling my duty as media for the event. I had to walk the entire 12km in pain. Not fun at all but at least I gave a good sportsmanship and went, instead of sulking about the pain at home. Let’s just say after the event I have to do a lot of ice bottle rolling and golf ball rolling recovery

The fourth edition of PUMA Night Run Malaysia 2017 is set to be held in Cyberjaya, 5th August 2017, with RM16,500 worth of prizes to be won. The event also aim to attract 12,000 participants this year as opposed to 10,000 target for 2016. Can they do it? You bet they can. I have no doubt about it.

This year, for the first time ever, PUMA has opened two different categories- 6km and 12km. This synchronizes with other countries’ PUMA Night Run all together.

Entry Fee & Runner’s Entitlements

The entry fee for the PUMA Night Run Malaysia 2017 is set at RM119 for 12km and RM89 for 6km (exclusive of GST). All participants for successful registration would receive a PUMA Race Kit, which includes a PUMA Night Run tee, PUMA towel, PUMA shoe bag, finisher’s medal (to be given after the race) and other sponsored freebies. In addition to that, PUMA is also loading up the Race Kits with some super cool goodies such as glow in the dark shoe laces, LED arm bands and glow sticks to add to the fun.

If you’ve participated in the #IWillBeOkay Trail Hike, you would have gotten a PUMA towel so you know that is a good stuff. The shoe bag is the best item to receive in a race kit. You will not get it from any other running event

And a super cool finisher’s medal.

Top 3 finishers of the 12km men and women categories will each receive RM2,500, RM2,000 and RM1,500 worth of PUMA vouchers respectively. On the other hand, the winners of the 6km men and women categories will go home with RM1,000, RM750 and RM500 worth of PUMA vouchers respectively.

The third edition of PUMA Night Run Malaysia is making a comeback this 20th August 2016 and this time around the organizer have decided to held the biggest Night Run event to date at the Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam instead of Setia Alam. This will be the biggest run for PUMA with 10,000 participants expected.

The prizes are also generous this year. There are RM12,000 worth of prizes to be given away. Top finishers of the men and women categories will each receive RM2,500 worth of PUMA vouchers, while second-placed runners in both categories will receive RM2,000 worth of PUMA vouchers. Third-placed runners in both categories will each receive RM1,500 worth of PUMA vouchers.

Entry fee for the PUMA Night Run Malaysia 2016 is at RM85 (inclusive of GST) with race kit comprises a PUMA Night Run tee, PUMA towel, PUMA shoe bag, finisher’s medal (to be given after the race), and other sponsored freebies.

One of the media launch event that I always feel excited about are sports related especially when it is a running shoe. PUMA Malaysia recently launched a brand new running shoe as an addition to the IGNITE running shoe family. The IGNITE Ultimate is also currently used by the World’s Fastest Man, Usian Bolt for all his training towards the upcoming Olympics in Rio.
