When Judy of It’s Judy Time launched her co-created It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette with BH Cosmetics end of 2013, she launched it together with another YouTuber ThatsHeart with her co-created That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette. Both of the palette have been in my wish list for so many months. I managed to get It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette in April 2014 and I finally gotten my hands on That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette just a few weeks ago. Andddddd of course nothing in my life comes without any drama. This highly anticipated palette comes with a drama as you all know.

Some of you emailed me for a review on the palette. You know who you are and thank you for the request 🙂 . Initially I didn’t want to tear off the shrink wrap packaging of all my BH Cosmetics palette because I still have a pending case with ABX. They took forever to respond to my email(s) and so I’ve decided to just went ahead with this first impression and swatches review.

That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette v3
If you’ve been watching Heart’s YouTube channel, you would have know that the design of her palette is really representing her style. The huge pink heart with lace bother on the front cover matches with her YouTube handle name. I am personally a fan of anything with a heart design. When I told my friends that I’m buying That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette, their reaction was “oh that is so you” 😀 . Yes, I am a sucker for cute, pretty packaging, anything pink, anything lace, anything with heart and anything that is girly.

Unlike It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette, That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette on the other hand is a perfect square palette. It’s quite big if I were to compare with Judy’s palette but there is a good reason for the size.

That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Back
Everything you need to know about the palette is printed on the back

It was a complete cuteness overload for me the first time I opened the palette. Remember the heart shape on the front of the palette, well on the inside there is a same heart shape size mirror. I absolutely love it! That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette, as the name said it all, is an eyeshadow, blush AND a bronzer with highlighter palette. Basically it’s everything you need to complete the whole look. Now you know why is the palette is in a perfect square size eh? It is to accommodate eight soft pops of color to neutrals eyeshadow pan, a bronzer/highlighter pan and a blush pan.

That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Inside

That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Inside Closeup
I used to be into colorful, vibrant eyeshadows. I still am. Just that my love for colorful eyeshadows is now half divided to neutral shades thanks to It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette. I knew right away that I would enjoy using That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette because it is a combination of colors and neutral shades. To have a bronzer, highlighter and blush in the same palette is just perfect. It makes my life easier by not needing to think which blush to use or the need to search for a separate bronzer palette.

That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Shades
I would say the top four eyeshadow shades is more of a tropical shades instead of just “blue”. You will know what I meant once you’ve used it. The bottom four neutral eyeshadow shades is pretty much an everyday wear. Do take note that most of the eyeshadow colors are in satin. That means it’s not matte and it does have a sheen to it.

I ran my finger twice on each of the eyeshadow for the swatch with the exception of the 3rd shade on top row (dark purple but my camera decided it’s blue instead) and the 4th shade on bottom row (dark brown) where I needed to ran my finger on the pan thrice in order to get the color to show up on my hand. As you can see from the swatch, most of it is quite shimmery, except for the two shades that I ran my finger thrice. That two is more matte. The shimmery white “bone” shade is extremely shimmery. I’m not sure if you want to use it to highlight the brow bone because it’s way too shimmery for me. However it’s perfect for tear duct highlighting.

That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Eyeshadow Swatches
Comparing with It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette, I find that all the eyeshadow in this palette is easier to swatch. I had a hard time getting the colors on my hand for Judy’s palette but it goes on the eye lid beautifully and effortlessly. All the eyeshadows in That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette on the other hand is buttery soft to touch, swatch easily and it goes on the lid as beautifully as well.

I would say my most favourite of all are these three – bronzer, highlighter and blush. The bronzer is amazing for contour. It is super pigmented, very dark and it doesn’t goes on my skin muddy looking. I like how the bronzer gives me a prominent contour line on the cheekbone and it lasted on me. Most bronzer disappear after a few hours but this one doesn’t do that to me. The highlight on the other hand is suitable for the brow bone. It is less chunky shimmer in it than the 1st eyeshadow on the top. The only downside of this bronzer/highlight pan is that my angled brush doesn’t fit on the half pan so most probably I’d dirty the palette in no time. As for the blush, it is actually a barbie pink shade but my camera pick up as normal pink lol. This one is super pigmented as well so be light handed with it.

That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Bronzer, Highlight and Blush Swatches
Here is the ingredients list for the eyeshadow, bronzer, highlighter and blush.

That's Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette Ingredient List
What makes this palette great is the combination eyeshadow shade selection to create different look for different occasion. I like that it has everything from eyeshadows to bronzer, highlighter and blush. The overall design of the palette is one of the reason why I bought it too. I have the palette as decoration on my vanity table because it’s just too pretty to be tuck away in a drawer. However, the square size of the palette makes it not easy to store or travel with. But that is the least of my concern 😀

Now the question is, where to buy it? There is a few platform selling this palette. The most direct method is to get it from BH Cosmetics website. They are constantly having sales and now this palette is going for USD6.95! The downside is shipping. USPS First Class will cost you USD21.95 while USPS Priority will cost USD39.95. It’s ridiculously expensive! There is also quite a handful of Instagram seller collecting pre-orders. It takes about a month or so to reach you so that’s not too bad comparing to Mysale. At least you do not need to go through all the worries and heart attacks.

Oh and it’s cruelty-free too 😀

That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette is a limited edition palette available for purchase at BH Cosmetics website (US).

Price: USD14.95 (Shipping: USPS First Class USD21.95 or USPS Priority USD39.95)

If it’s not due to the extremely high international shipping fee for BH Cosmetics, I would have not bought anything from Mysale.my. I told myself this would be the last time I buy from Mysale. Let’s face it. I’m not the type of person that can wait nearly two months for the parcel to arrive.

I placed my order on the 30th June 2014 and the estimated delivery is within 29th July to 5th August. I tried contacting Mysale FOUR TIMES to track my parcel but to no avail. The tracking provided in the member account is literally useless. I called Quantium only to be told that Quantium’s role in this is to act as a third party on all custom related matters. All Mysale parcel is under ABX responsibilities. Oh Lord. The nightmare begins. I’m not going into details on what went on with ABX. Let’s just say they are the first courier company that shout, yell and scolded me – the customer. To cut the story short, I received the parcel this morning, with lots of anger cursing written on the shipping label. I have to photoshop it out because it’s nasty. This is the condition of my parcel. Soiled. The supposed to be hard and sturdy padded envelope is as soft as a tofu.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 1
Then I found THIS. It is so obvious that my parcel was compromised. Based on my online buying and selling experience, the glue on padded envelope is quite secure, unless the content is huge and force into the envelope then yes, box tape is needed.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 2
I peeled off the tape and to my horror, I found that my parcel was forced open on the opposite end of the actual opening. It was done on purpose.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 15
For comparison sake, this is how the parcel of my first Mysale purchase looks like. When I bought just one small item, they can’t steal it wouldn’t they. That would be too obvious.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 4

Mysale BH Cosmetics 5
This was what’s left inside the parcel after the son of b!tch (sorry for my language) stole half the content of my actual haul.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 6
I didn’t really buy much. As you can see from the below invoice, I only bought two That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette and a set of five Floral Blush Duo.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 7
So. I only saw ONE That’s Heart palette in my pathetically ripped parcel and THIS. One glance and I already know what is wrong with the packaging. The Floral Blush Duo comes in a set of five. I only received THREE. Can you spot what’s the problem by looking at the below photo? Did you see the barcode sticker? Again, it is so obvious that the son of b!tch (sorry but no sorry) ripped off the packaging, steal two blusher and simply stick back what’s left of the barcode sticker in such manner.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 8
I showed this to Mysale people (more story on that below) and they confirmed that the actual packaging with barcode sticker should be like the photo below. This was how it was sent out.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 9
My incomplete Floral Blush Duo collection thanks to YOU MOTHER %$^*@# SON OF B!TCH!

Mysale BH Cosmetics 10
This is not the end to my story yet. One thing I like about BH Cosmetics is that EVERY SINGLE ITEM IS SEALED. I told you that I received three out of five Floral Blush Duo right? Well, the thief was so kind to left me with one opened blusher. You see where he/she is heading to? I know I’ve been repeating the word “obviously” but IT IS SO FREAKING OBVIOUS that he/she was ripping the seal off to choose the blusher shade!! I even told this to Mysale people and he agreed too!

Mysale BH Cosmetics 11
So now the question is. Why would he/she left the opened blusher to me? Why? As I was driving home from Mysale office this afternoon, I realized that this particular blusher contain half shimmery gold shade. The mother &^$%& must have had the shock of his/her life that he/she have not a single blardy clue on how to use it. Typically a blusher is either pink or coral. Wouldn’t it shock the small pathetic brain of this thief that half of the blusher is in shimmery gold? HAH!!!

Mysale BH Cosmetics 12
After I reached home, I told mum what happened and then only I realized that this blusher was swatched. I wouldn’t have notice it if it’s not because my mum’s room was bright. I have totally missed it in my own room.

ABX…why don’t you just steal the whole parcel? Wouldn’t it be easier for you and me? Hah? Why? Just take the whole damn thing. Why leave me with this you jerk!

Mysale BH Cosmetics 13
I purposely took the photo slightly darker to show you the swatch area. If you can’t see, tilt your laptop screen down or you look up from the keyboard

I can almost tear someone apart when I can’t reach Mysale in a timely manner with regards to the stolen items from my parcel. If you haven’t deal with Mysale before, don’t ever buy from them. It is a pain in the a$$ to get someone to reply to your enquiry. Mysale website is designed in a way that there is no visible office address on the web, no contact number nor is there any customer service hotline to call to and there wasn’t any email address that you can email to. The only way members can contact Mysale is through the My Contact tab in the website. That also will take a few days for them to reply. And if they do ever reply you and you replied immediately, they won’t reply anything until the next day. It’s like these people are told to only check messages once a day. And when they replied, this is the stupid answer I get. A complete ZERO connection to my query.

Mysale BH Cosmetics 14

How to contact Mysale directly beside My Contact tab?

I do wonder if anyone ever feel the need to look for Mysale there and then to solve an important issue like stolen item, receiving fake goods etc. Yes I do read that some received fake goods. Why I ask? This is because when I was googling for information on whereabout is Mysale, I read a lot of rant on blogs but none of them took any action. Same goes to Facebook posting. You know what? The amount of complains that I read is phenomenal. It is unbelievable how such a good deal site is turning into a complete disaster. It is good for the company that they managed to reduce manpower and avoiding to deal with human directly. As a consumer, I would not return to the site anymore. Some people said it’s a scam site as there is no physical office number or office in Malaysia. I don’t think so Mysale is a scam site. They just need to fasten the seat belt and WORK FASTER.

So back to how to contact Mysale. If you really do Google you can find an email, office contact number and office address IN the website. Actually I was provided a number to call by Quantium but no one seems to be picking up phone calls. So I decided to drive 40km all the way to Mysale office to try my luck. My blood was boiling and I have to storm into Mysale office. I first saw the letter box next to the parking floor elevator. There is a sticker on one of the box that wrote “Ozsale Sdn Bhd moved to 1.03”. So I went up to 1st floor. It turns out that there is no unit 1.03. I went back to Ground floor, which is initially Mysale office floor. I managed to find unit G.03 with a sign on the main entrance saying it’s Mysale warehouse. I was so lost until a guy, who was walking towards my direction, asked if I would like to return something. I asked if he’s working at Mysale. He said he’s working in the main office which is just next door. This could explain why there was no one picking up the phone. They’ve shifted to next door and possibly with a new office number as well. I followed him and I find myself standing in Mysale office. Not a glamorous one. The bags, clothes etc display looked rather odd and cheap? I managed to spoke to a guy in the nicest possible. I did not yell or shout because it is not his fault anyway. I told him the issue, what was missing and he offered a refund for one That’s Heart palette and half of Floral Blush Duo. I agreed with the refund amount, gave him all my banking details and he immediately proceed to email their Finance department in Singapore. According to him, the refund will took maximum one week. I also note down his name and number just in case I needed to check on the refund after the one week refunding period.

In conclusion, if you find yourself in a similar situation or worse, just go to Mysale office. They are not shock to see me appearing at the front door which means I’m not the first to do so.

That’s on Mysale part. Now what can I do with ABX. The more I look at the way the parcel was ripped off, the more I want to take action. If contacting Mysale is hard, contacting ABX is even harder. I have to call ABX 10 times in order to get someone answering the phone. And that person kept telling me parcel resent back to “PS”. When I ask what the heck is PS, he said “Petaling Jaya”. Tell me you won’t get heart attack talking to these people.

Update: 14th August 2014

Mysale BH Cosmetics 16

Totally disappointed when I received an email from Mysale requesting for my bank details that was provided on the spot when I was at Mysale office. This proves that there is absolute ZERO communication with the people working in Mysale.

Update: 15th August 2014

Login to my bank account for fund transfer and I saw that Mysale had refunded RM58 into my account.

It felt surreal when I had It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette on my hand and it still feel surreal until now. The co-creator of this eyeshadow palette with BH Cosmetics is none other than beauty guru, Judy from It’s Judy Time of YouTube. She also have a daily vlog channel It’s Judys Life, which I follow every single evening since roughly six months ago. Ever since then I’ve been eyeing on BH Cosmetics website on the palette as it was sold out within a few days after the launch. When the palette was restocked and I find out that they ship internationally, I wanted to get one but then the shipping fee believe it or not is double of the palette price if I opted for USPS Priority.

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette 1
I found a local reseller that do pre-order from US and sometimes she would get one or two more extra for her ready stock sales but unfortunately there was no It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette in sight. Just end of last week I saw her latest ready stock list from Facebook. I confirmed with the seller on It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette and she indeed have ready stock so when she listed the palette into her website, I quickly snag one. I was in luck because it’s the only palette available (I think).

It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition collaboration palette between BH Cosmetics with Judy of It’s Judy Time. It is a limited edition palette and is currently selling for USD14.95, after 25% discount from it’s original price of USD19.95. There is also another YouTuber, That’s Heart that collaborated with BH Cosmetics and launched her palette That’s Heart Eyeshadow & Blush Palette on the same day as Judy. This palette on the other hand has been on a huge discount or package sales for several time. I’ve been waiting for the same for It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette but to no avail. I guess it’s selling like hot cake eh?

Now back to this palette. It’s a 12-eyeshadows palette hand-picked by Judy personally consisting from neutral tone to blue and purple tone. In the palette you will also find a balance combination of matte to satin, shimmer shades. I have said before that I’m not into neutral. When Naked3 was launched, I was intrigued to get it due to the rose-hued neutrals. Then I did some research and find that Naked2 is much better in terms of shade and payoff. Even though so I can never deny the fact that I like colorful eyeshadow so I personally feel It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette suits me better 🙂

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette 2
Each pan is approximately the size of our Malaysia new 10 cent coin size. Some review online said that it’s quite a small pan but to me the size is alright. I mean how many of you really finished a palette? Never. So I don’t mind. I only wish it’s cheaper after currency conversion to RM lol!

The palette is made from laminated hard cardboard that comes with magnetic closure. This type of packaging reminds me of Benefit. On the front is It’s Judy Time logo, while on the inside there’s a quote “Natural is beautiful but makeup is glam” which is sort of like Judy’s quote. There’s also a huge mirror included. Absolutely loving the gold font on black packaging.

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette 3
Here is the palette from close with indoor flash.

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette 4
Let’s take a closer look on the shades. I’m not good with explaining the shade so bear with me 😀

From left to right:
Top: Matte nude, matte muddy brown, satin shimmery brown
Bottom: Satin shimmery gold, satin shimmery copper, satin shimmery deep burgundy

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette 5
Top: Matte medium brown, matte dark brown, satin deep brown
Bottom: Satin shimmery purple, satin light purplish blue, satin deep blue

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette 6
There has been quite a mix review on this palette. Some said it’s pigmented, some said it’s sheer. On the pan it looks alright and looks pretty pigmented. I find some of the shades is a bit hard to swatch. There are a few that’s quite sheer upon swatch but I think it should be okay on the lid since we Asian have smaller hooded eye shape.

Here’s the swatch on my hand for top row. This row is mainly neutral colors. This is also the row that I find hard to swatch. Or maybe I’m too used to see colorful, bright eyeshadow eh?

From left to right:
– Matte Nude – This shade is quite sheer but I’ll mainly use it to highlight my brow bone so I’m not bothered.
– Matte Muddy Brown – This is a color that Judy used mainly as transition color on the crease or to blend. You can see from the pan that I swatch really hard but it’s hard to get the color on my hand.
– Satin Shimmery Brown – This one swatch alright but lots of flakes and fall out. The color transferred from the pan to my hand in a big lump! None the less it’s a beautiful brown.
– Matte Medium Brown – This color is soft and buttery to touch. Payoff is quite good and beautiful. Would look great for crease.
– Matte Dark Brown – This is a typical dark brown. It’s also easy to get the color on my hand. It goes on slightly patchy but once smooth out, it’s quite a pretty color I say.
– Satin Deep Brown – Another beautiful satin brown, probably a shade that I like more than the other brown.

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette 7
Bottom row gets more interesting.

From left to right:
– Satin Shimmery Gold – A pretty shimmery gold color. It feels very soft to touch.
– Satin Shimmery Copper – Another beautiful shimmery medium brown that will suits almost everyone.
– Satin Shimmery Deep Burgundy – This shade is quite a special one. It appears like a deep dark brown but it has a burgundy sheen to it. The shade is very deep so I’ll probably use it for eyeliner.
– Satin Shimmery Purple – My favourite shade of all. A purple that is not too dark or too light. This shade would be a great combo with all the brown, especially if applied onto the middle eye lid.
– Satin Light Purplish Blue – This shade is a very sheer one despite looking like a medium purple on the pan. I have a hard time swatching this shade onto my hand.
– Satin Deep Blue – This deep blue have a reflective sheen to it. It’s a nice blue for days where you want a pop of color on the lid.

It's Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette 8
I feel that one will need a slight boost with eyeshadow primer, which I have no problem with since I must apply primer before eyeshadow. There is hit and miss with all of the 12-eyeshadow shades. Some shade is with better color payoff while some is hard to swatch. One thing I like about these eyeshadow is that although it goes on slightly patchy and with minimum fall out, once you smooth out the shadow then it’s a pretty shade afterall. I like the buttery smooth satin texture and finishing. These shadow is long lasting wear because it doesn’t budge a bit. I had a hard time trying to get it off my hand with wet tissue. So a proper bi-phase eye makeup remover will be needed.

So what do I think of the palette after swatching them? I love it despite started off with a little bump with the swatches. These eyeshadow goes on beautifully on the lid. It is so easy to apply, blends out evenly and the payoff on the lid is wayyyyy much better than the swatches. The quality is absolutely good, contrary to what everyone has been saying about the palette. I like the neutral shade selection because it’s so versatile unlike Naked palette whereas most of the shade is similar to each other 😛 . The main attraction of the palette is that each of the shade is different from one another therefore creating different looks using It’s Judy Time Eyeshadow Palette will not be an issue. Thumbs up from me!
