Surpriseeeee! Maybe not . I mean, you already know I am launching this limited Love Face X #IWillBeOkay collaboration box ever since I mentioned it on my Instagram. I wanted to have another beauty bag/box after the last beauty bag for campaign #2 and I know planning for one would take 3-6 months time so I asked Love Face if they would collaborate with me and it’s a YES. If you’re still wondering who and what is Love Face, you may read all about them at this post, which I’ve written not long ago. Basically Love Face is the one and only website focusing on all Taiwanese beauty brands. Their main focus is sheet mask and so our collaboration is a box full with sheet masks from Taiwan.

Love Face X #IWillBeOkay will be for sale at RM99 per box of 10 pieces of Taiwanese brand sheet masks, and same as previous beauty bag, a flat shipping fee of RM15 will be charged separately. The profit which is roughly about RM30 will go to #IWillBeOkay Fund, which will be used to help those in need i.e. future campaigns, events, donations, and many more, while the balance will goes back to Love Face for the cost of the mask, box etc. It goes to a fund first because the amount is too little to be donated out. As and when I see fits, I will use the fund for good use. But as you already are aware of #IWillBeOkay campaigns, the fund goes to organizing free events for everyone such as our trail run/hike last March 2017.

Meaning if Love Face side ran out of stock at any time we may stop selling this box earlier than expected. This is because Love Face is a full operating online store with a good amount of sales therefore the availability of the Love Face X #IWillBeOkay box depends on their stock level . There is no limitation to how many boxes you can purchase. With a blink of an eye, #IWillBeOkay is one year old now and has entered into its 4th campaign to date. I have an aim of running a campaign every quarter but right after my #IWillBeOkay Trail Hike ended, I got a call from Clinelle asking for a collaboration. Immediately I went into planning mood. I already knew what I want as I have spoken about it for so long, even before the trail hike event. Clinelle was looking forward to “re-introduce” their Hot Body Shaper Cream and my fitness event fits the bill.

The event was supposed to happen in April, a month after 3rd campaign ended. But due to the venue issue, it was postponed to early May. Still not too bad. And since this 4th campaign happened so early, I had more time off now . Planning this Metafit event was way easier than planning a full-on outdoor event like the trail hike because of many reasons such as people management, safety, goodie bags, T-shirts and so on. Due to bad experience from the last event whereas 3 sets of goodie bags and meal was stolen, I took everyone’s advice and charge a minimum fee this time. The fee of RM35 per person is not even enough to cover the coach fee, brunch and the advertising I put on Facebook as well as Instagram. And because there is a charge this time, people are reluctant to sign up unlike the last event. Let’s not even get to the part where I get a lot of sh*t from people asking for medal, cert and many more.

I always had my Metafit training outdoor but due to the time issue, I had to find an indoor venue otherwise everyone will be under the hot sun at 11am. The challenge was to get a studio big enough to fit 40 people jumping and pumping on the floor. My coach suggested to check with Monster Fit if they can sponsor us the venue. Monster Fit said yes!

Monster Fit is at VSQ @ PJ City Centre, along the same road from Armada Hotel. It is in PJ, which many people would be happy and more convenient to go and it has ample parking. I was told by many participants that they had issue going into parking as there was a wedding going on. I reached at 9am and entered the parking in no time so I did not even notice the wedding at the church next door lol. Monster Fit is HUGE. It has all the gym equipment, a swimming pool outdoor and a huge indoor studio, which they kindly lend to us for the morning to have this event. I did everything myself this time, without any volunteer or crew with me except for a photographer. I reached at 9am to install the banners, which I learnt how to do it the night before and not long later my friends from Clinelle arrived. Slowly the participants arrived. My #fitfam from Cyberjaya Metafit class, who is also a runner registered for 8 pax (thank you!) and she too arrived not long later.

Registration was all done by myself as it was not a big crowd and we had everyone fill in the Par-Q Form (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) to determine that everyone is fit to participate in the Metafit session. After the form was filled, the coach will have a word with them to see if they are good to go.

Without realizing, Meraki Kitchen arrived with our food and it was caught on camera haha! If you have not tried meal order from Meraki Kitchen yet, you are missing out. Everyone told me the meal pack is too huge and it’s rice. Well, multigrain rice to be exact. An unexpected friend arrived. Sabrina, my babe from Malay Mail who was sick but decided to come last minute to sweat it all out. Sabrina was the one who interviewed me and crowned me as the selfie queen last year lol. Here is the article. It was supposed to be a front cover news but a bigger news came up and my interview was put to the 2nd page. Still a good story. Selfie was a hot topic and coincidentally at that time I started my selfie game too . That is how I ended up in the newspaper.

We started our Metafit training with some warm up and as usual, the coach will show us all the moves for the day and we would try it out before the real session. And we are already tired even before the real training started.

Although Metafit was tough, 19 minutes in total. But everyone agreed it was a good workout. Some had jelly legs right after the training, some jelly legs after brunch but most of us feel it the next day and that’s normal. It means you are doing it right.

Then it was the cool down session.

Usually right after an event, everyone would dash to me for food. This time none. I waited and waited but everyone was too jelly legs to remember the food LOL. I have to walk to them to hand over the food and slowly, some of the came over.

I was supposed to hand over the studio by 11.30am but a few of us stay on to have our food, chatting and laughing about the training earlier. Monster Fit was kind enough to let us do whatever we wanted to do but we make sure we did not dirty the place and leave food everywhere. We clean the place and left by 12.30pm.

26th July 2016 was the best day of my 2016 and I shared it with Laneige Malaysia for their annual Waterful Sharing Campaign. Usually media shy away when it comes to charity but I am usually the first one in line when it comes to charity.

Laneige Waterful Sharing Campaign returned for the fourth installation this year 2017 and continued its collaboration with Global Peace Foundation (GPF) in providing clean water access to rural community. This comeback is to also resume 2016’s effort whereas the two Kampung – Kampung Binjai Pahang and Kampung Ulu Geruntum Perak will receive an additional four water filtration systems each. This additional is to aid the increasing villagers demand for clean water. But this year, two more new Kampung will receive this year’s chapter of initiative. The newly identified Kampung are Kampung Padang Pahang and Kampung Poh Perak. Both Kampung is about 10 to 20 minutes drive from last year’s Kampung and they are recommended by the Tok Penghulu. Therefore, a total of 880 residents across four Kampung will be benefited from this year’s campaign.

This year campaign sees a new water filtration system named LifeStraw, a South Korea manufactured high-volume, point-of-use community water purifier with a built-in safe storage. It is a portable zero to low maintenance water filtration system that provides microbiologically safe drinking water for schools, health facilities, workplaces and community settings. According to Dr. Teh Su Thye, Chief Executive Officer of GPF, these will be placed at the most inner part of the villages which has difficulties in retrieving clean water.

Villagers will be benefited from this 50-litre tank with a 12L/hour filtration capability portable filtration system as it is also chemical free, which helps to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases.

Laneige Malaysia aimed to raise RM100,000 through the sale of its ‘Refill Me’ Water Sleeping Mask and the good news is, this iconic sleeping mask is now available in Lavender Scent.

Yesterday was the celebration of Earth Day 2017 and just as the past 2 years, The Body Shop Malaysia in collaboration with Free Tree Society once again gave out 2,000 saplings of 25 different species this year at two different location; eCurve Petaling Jaya and Setia City Mall.

Last year I was invited over to join their celebration but I had another responsibility to take care of so I was absent. This year I am so happy that The Body Shop invited me over again for their third year in giving away free trees. Initially I thought I was going over to help them to plant some trees or at least to depot some plants for the visitors. I was so ready to get my hands dirty and I was even geared up in my sports attire for that . It turns out I do not need to do all that.

If you don’t know yet, The Body Shop has always been hands on in every way they can to preserve mother nature, to protect endangered animals and many more. This is a new commitment that The Body Shop embarked on – and that is to be the world’s most ethical and sustainable global business by the year 2020 through an extensive programme and measurable targets. Understandably from a beauty brand point, The Body Shop do realise that habitat loss are caused by farming expansion and intensive harvesting of forest products. This includes whatever ingredients that every beauty brand seek after for its “unique” ingredient selling point. We as a consumer does not have any idea how that was done and how much it affected the habitat. With more and more land development around Klang Valley, we do see that trees are sacrificed. Therefore every one of us have a responsibility to plant more trees.

The Body Shop, in collaboration with Free Tree Society initiative to give out free plants is to raise public awareness on the importance of planting a tree to save our planet. For the past two years, it has only been held in The Curve alone but this year it took place in eCurve and Setia City Mall. Plants are given out to the public with Free Tree Society volunteers on standby explaining how to care for the plant that they chose to adopt.

Let’s take a look at some of the saplings species that I found at eCurve yesterday.

I also took this opportunity to adopt a Mulberry plant home. There are a few more plants that I wanted to adopt but I do not want the public to go home empty handed so I only adopt one plant and leave those I want for others to have a chance to adopt

Through this initiative, The Body Shop aim to create a sustainable and greener environment by urging the public to take part in planting a tree, re-using and recycling products as well as to educate the younger generation on the importance of caring for the environment.
