You know. I hate weddings. I avoid weddings not because I’m stingy but because wedding makes me sad. For someone who dodge wedding several time due to cold feet, having to sit through the whole lengthy 8-course Chinese wedding dinner while watching all the happy wedding photos flashing on the gigantic flat screen bring tears to my eyes. The last time I shed a tear or two at a wedding dinner is when my good friend got married to a guy whom I helped to pull the string? Is that how you call it? No wait. I just got the right word. It’s match making!

Last week I attended a good friend’s wedding. I know I know. I hate wedding but this lady’s wedding is a wedding that I wouldn’t miss. Plus I have a girl friend there so how hard can it be right? The funny part is the bride said she hate wedding too lol. I know, we are weird this way. While at the table waiting for food to fill in our empty tummy, the bride brought out this jewellery box for me. It’s a gift for the bridesmaid. See! Cannot miss this girl’s wedding I tell ya 😀

Ollie Jewellery 2.1
Growing up, I was only obsessed with three things – heart symbol, butterflies and flower shape. The Ollie Jewellery that I get from the bride Cynthia is in the shape of a butterfly. After a quick browse at Ollie Jewellery online store, I found out that the pendant and chain are sold separately. One thing you need to know about Ollie Jewellery is that their jewellery are all made from .925 sterling silver, which a “925” stamp is stamped on to assure customers that their products are made of 92.5% pure silver. It is also rhodium plated to enhance the shine and durability. If there is stone on the jewellery, it is all “AAA” graded cubic zirconia stones 😀 . The pendant you see here below is one of their favourite piece, Beautiful Butterfly Pendant. It measures at 22mm length x 10mm width. To be honest it’s not very big at all. The size is quite decent and girlie girl.

Ollie Jewellery 3
There’s also a little card with care guide for reference. This is useful for those who have no idea how to care for silver. Silver as I know will get discolour if handle the wrong method.

Ollie Jewellery 4
There are two types of chain to choose from – Bead Chain and Cable Chain. Mine here is Bead Chain that are of course made from 925 Sterling Silver with Rhodium plating and it is measuring at 18 inch. It’s very thin but durable and the clasp is really very tiny.

Ollie Jewellery 5
One of the care guide stated on the little card included is to store your jewellery in a dry and air-tight area such as zip-lock bag or jewellery box when it is not worn. Good news because all Ollie Jewellery come in a pretty jewellery box like this one here 🙂

Ollie Jewellery 6
The necklace is quite pretty and suits my style very much. I can wear this anytime, any occasion and with any type of dress at all. Thank you Cynthia for this gift 😀

Been feeling a little bit blue, a little bit down and a little bit unwell so I thought of telling you a treat that I got from my colleague who went to Japan for work cum holiday back in November 2013.

Who doesn’t know Tokyo Banana right? Tokyo Banana (東äșŹă°ăȘ愈) basically are banana pudding flavoured custard sponge cakes wrapped and packaged in Japanese standards. The phenomena of this delicacies has quickly put it to be the number #1 souvenir of choice from family and friends who have recently visited Japan. This is the one thing I requested from my colleague to buy for me too 😀

Tokyo Banana 1
It comes in various design such as plain, tabby pattern, giraffe pattern, leopard pattern, plain with caramel banana custard and the new one is floral pattern with banana shake custard. Each design are available in various package such as 4 pieces per pack („500), 8 pieces („1,050) and 12 pieces („1,550). Plain Tokyo Banana is cheaper at 4 pieces per pack („470), 8 pieces („1,000) and 12 pieces („1,500). I kinda like leopard pattern but it gave me goosebumps so giraffe is the final choice 😀 . As a few of our colleague ordered it as well and it’s a bit troublesome to bring back, we gotten the 4 pieces pack.

Not only the packaging is super cute, the paper bag as well but I only get mine in a simple plastic individual packaging. But it’s okay. Even that too is cute. It’s not that I can eat the paper bag LOL.

Tokyo Banana 2
Here’s the famous Tokyo Banana! Before this I have been warned by friends that this cake is really nothing special. Deep down I know it’s really just the thought of chowing down a sponge cake flew in from Japan that brings up the hype.

Each package like this comes with an expiry date. I gotten this on the 2nd of December so it’s another 11 more days to go before it will gone bad.

Tokyo Banana 3
The ribbon graphic on the cake’s individual packaging is really too cute.

Tokyo Banana 4
The shape of the cake resemble a banana. No prize for guessing that one 😉 . One bite down and I feel meh. Besides the cake being all fluffy and soft, it taste like banana cake. Quite true on what other people said. It’s basically banana cake! lol. I like the banana pudding custard filling very much. It has a strong banana scent to it so if you are not a fan of banana cake, most probably you won’t like this as well. You can hand me yours 😛

Tokyo Banana 5
Let me end this with all the Tokyo Banana cake available at the moment 😀

Tokyo Banana 6
Hope this cutie cheer you up as it did to me 😀 . Now tell me, have you tried before? I know a lot of people have tried it. Gosh I’m so late in all this lol. Would you buy this as souvenir if you do go Japan for holiday?

December 2013 magazine GWP has been keeping me busy for the past week. It is quite rarely to see a few local magazine giving out good and worthy GWP.

December 2013 Local Magazine GWP
It all started last Sunday when I went to One Utama to redeem Sulwhasoo deluxe sample set at Parkson. If you are familiar with One Utama New Wing then you will know that there’s a MyNews outlet located at B1, just in front of the travelator. When I reached I saw a magazine that is possible to have a GWP due to it’s obvious green extended page from far. I knew magazine could be heavy to lug around One Utama so I told myself to only stop by when I was exiting the mall.

The magazine that I saw was just offering a 1ml of The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil or something. Just when I was about to leave I saw a magazine next to it that was bundled up with a 50ml of The Body Shop Shea Body Butter.

Malaysian Women’s Weekly December 2013 Issue – RM6

Malaysian Women's Weekly December 2013 GWP 1
This magazine is so heavy. It’s thick like a bumper issue or something and was slotted with lots of product brochure. Among the interesting things I found in the magazine is of course a The Body Shop Shea Body Butter 50ml, a Buy One Free One of The Body Shop Body Butter, Crabtree & Evelyn Limited Edition Hand Therapy 25ml free, Crabtree & Evelyn Buy One Free One Great Escape Travel Pack Set, Crabtree & Evelyn Buy One Free One Assorted Biscuits, SK-II Magic Ring skin analysis with 2 sample redemption, a recipe note book and free Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee with Christmas gifts and also a Melvita sample redemption.

There are two types of Body Butter that the magazine is giving out. One is Shea and another one is Olive. Some place only carry one type so try going to larger bookstore as they might be carrying both type.

Malaysian Women's Weekly December 2013 GWP 2
I went to Mid Valley a few days ago for a quick Daiso shopping and as usual I would drop by MPH bookstore to check out magazine. This is what I bought.

Lisa December 2013 Issue – RM3.90

Lisa December 2013 GWP 2
Lisa is a very affordable magazine at RM3.90 per copy. Previously I got a Etude House Moistfull trial kit with the same magazine title and this time Lisa has once again collaborated with Etude House by giving away a Etude House Wonder Pore After Sun Special Set. Wonder Pore has been a range which I’ve been wanting to try and so I bought the last two copy at MPH. I’ve started using this set on the same night because if it suits me I’ll hunt for more LOL.

The magazine also comes with a Sunsilk Co-Creations Smooth & Manageable Instant Smoothening Cream sample. This sample is in sachet but comes with a dispensing nozzle. Good for sachet hater like me haha!

Lisa December 2013 GWP 2
Oh and a quick shout out. One of my reader friend, Carrie Anne Long sent me a pressie. Both of us share the love for animal, dog for me especially and she sent me a SPCA puppy note book, a SPCA recycle bag, one interesting charcoal puppy to eliminate odour in any space and a sweet note. All these are sent in a white Cosmobox. Although I never subscribe to Cosmobox box before (they’re arrogant in their answer regarding their subscription) but their box quality is quite good though.

Thank you Carrie once again for gifts that has never been any more meaningful and cuter. I couldn’t stop awww-ing at the puppy on the notebook haha. I’m lucky to have a reader like you. You are probably the only one reader that actually thought of sending me gift :D. Thanks again <3

Gift From Carrie Anne Long
That’s all for today’s short blog post. Now I need to crawl back to my bed as I was down with flu, headache and sore throat. Be back real soon.

I had a wonderful and relaxing Saturday not rushing to blog or take product pictures but meeting up with a friend; Kamsiah who if you still remember sponsored all the wonderful Clarins giveaway in Street Love, we did some beauty roundings and shopping at Pavilion.

As Kamsiah is attending Clarins Beauty Gathering at 11am, I met up with her 10+ish before that and I followed her to the gathering so that we have time to chit chat before her hubby picked her up at 1pm. I have no intention at all to go for the Clarins event so I didn’t queue for the door gift or whatsoever just in case someone is wondering 🙂

I came home with these! Actually there’s a full size Clinique Chubby Stick but I forgotten to include in the picture.

Kamsiah gave me loads of gifts and she really know me well. Everything she gave me is exactly what I like. Exactly. Every single one of it.

If you have been reading my lil bloggie you’d know that I love rose scented stuff. I’ve been eyeing on Crabtree & Evelyn Evelyn Rose Solid Perfume since last month when I finally take a look at KLCC outlet. I didn’t get it as Christmas is near so I thought maybe there’s Christmas set for it lol. Love this so so much! It came with a cute pouch too!! Thank you Kamsiah *hugs*

I didn’t support the recent L’Occitane Solidarity Soap sale as I have *counting* near to 20 pieces of L’Occitane and Filthy Farmgirl soaps in total. Kamsiah gave me one and it smells better than International Women’s Day Soap 2012 because it has rose petal scent. Everything smells better with rose scent in it right 🙂

After saying goodbye to Kamsiah I drove to Mid Valley while on the way home to pick up some magazines that I reserved and to utilize my RM40 Metrojaya Cash Voucher. Sad to say magazine has not arrive yet. I randomly walk in to Crabtree & Evelyn to ask about Triple Treat that everyone is making noise in Facebook and I bought one set for RM34 after 15% member discount. Obviously there’s price error in the catalogue as Double Treat (with 2 cans of 200g biscuits) are selling for RM85 while Triple Treat (with 3 cans of 200g biscuits) is only selling for RM40. I was told each person can only purchase one set. Okay for me as I’m not a cookie person. Just bought this for fun since it’s so cheap lol.

What about those pouches that you see from 1st picture? Well. Those are giveaway prizes sponsored by Kamsiah!! Each and every one of it are specially picked and compiled by Kamsiah just for Street Love readers. Can’t thank Kamsiah enough for this. I’m drooling myself over these prizes.

Giveaway will start soon. Still thinking what mechanic to do this time 🙂

And of course I used my RM40 Metrojaya Cash Voucher to purchase a Clinique Chubby Stick in Heaping Hazelnut.
