Yves Rocher Low Shampooo and Rinsing Vinegar
When I received a beautiful box from Yves Rocher quite some time ago, I opened it up and saw a note – This Will Change The Way You Wash Your Hair Forever. The first impression I had was “sure or not?”. Then it turned to “really?”. And, finally after I flipped through the products inside the box, I was “whoa this is interesting”. So yes, I went through three stages of impression at the same time 😀 . One excited blogger I am!

Low ShamPoo (RM43 / 200ml)

Yves Rocher Low Shampoo
Low ShamPoo is a sulfate-free shampoo cream. If you had used sulfate-free shampoo before, you will be expecting a shampoo that does not foams up very much. It does foams up but just a teeny weeny bit. The word Low Poo came from no pow (no shampoo) method used in the United States. It is a more natural way to wash your hair without infusing all the harmful cleansing agents to your hair. Just like the stories on how some women don’t wash their hair with a normal shampoo anymore? So this Low ShamPoo adapted the same concept for the self-exigent women, except that you are actually using a non-harmful product on the hair instead of no product at all. It contains ZERO sulfate, paraben, coloring, and silicone.

Does this changed the way I wash my hair? Oh yes. I am not going to lie. I hated it on the first use. I have long, dry hair length of over the chest so this Low ShamPoo is an eye changing experience. I needed something that lathers so I can clean my sensitive scalp better. It took me about 4 washes to use the product right according to my own personal preference. I make it work. What I did was to squirt a generous amount on one palm, smooth evenly onto both palm, apply one palm on a side of my head, lather it, and the other palm on another side. I work by sections on the head until I am done washing. Then the last step was to squirt another generous amount and start working onto the hair length. What I did to make it work really took me some time because of the hair length I have. It does not lathers in foam but because I was working by section, I managed to make it lather just a bit. It is a cream shampoo so it actually nourishes my hair.

Rinsing Vinegar (RM48 / 150ml)

Yves Rocher Rinsing Vinegar
Now, this Rinsing Vinegar changed the way I look at hair conditioner all together. I love this so much so that I wanna drink it all up AND pour it on my hair every night!

I have never ever heard about hair vinegar, what more rinsing vinegar. I learnt that this method is a traditional remedy to enhance the natural shine of the hair. Vinegar is known for its hair smoothing properties and ability to reduce limescale build up. I didn’t even know that! It is extracted through a natural fermenting process. For a vinegar, this one SMELLS SO GOOD! At first I thought the delicious grape scent is similar to Ribena. I knew it was not and I couldn’t put a finger to the familiar scent. One night I finally remembered. This Rinsing Vinegar smells like Sugus, a childhood chewy candy. Grape flavour specifically. It is said to be used before the final rinse. I have no idea what that means so I just treat this as hair conditioner. I started off with pouring some onto my palm and apply onto my hair length. After some time I got impatient and just pour the whole bottle directly onto my hair length, smooth it all over and rinse. It is very simple to use. The hair feels completely different when used compared to not using. Hair feels smoother and softer. Unfortunately the scent does not lingers long. I wish it did. I find that it works particularly well along Low ShamPoo. Low ShamPoo alone can be a bit meh but together with Rinsing Vinegar, it became a power team.

Here is the After result of using Low ShamPoo and Rinsing Vinegar. My hair was bleached and coloured before Chinese New Year so it became dry and brittle. Just look at how shiny and soft my hair are!

If someone ask who skipped applying conditioner after shampoo in a room full of people, I would be the first to raise my hand. I am lazy when it comes to hair care #truefact. As lazy as I can get sometimes, I do like to pamper myself from head to toe when I feel like it. It can be a whole week of pampering or maybe alternate days. Otherwise it would be three times a week. So yes, I am slowly getting my hair care routine back on track as my hair is growing longer and longer 🙂

If you find yourself nodding to what I said earlier on being lazy or you have a busy lifestyle, 3 minute is all you need to revive your hair. With Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner, I no longer say no to extra hair care after seeing the result. Lo and behold!

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner
I have straight, fine long hair. It should be silky smooth so when I feel that my hair is rough, that means I have damaged hair without realizing it. Hair feels rough when it lost its protective layer. This Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner comes with new formula and improved cationic polymer (BTMAC: Behenyl Trimethyl Ammonium Chloride). BTMAC is a dual-function molecule that neutralizes negatively charged damaged sites; one end attaches to the hair, while the other forms a protective shield. Pantene is known for its Pro-V Complex. When it works with ‘wet conditioning ingredients’ such as the cationic polymer BTMAC, it is able to attach itself to the hair surface in wet condition, forming a thin film that lubricates the surface. This action will refuce friction between individual hair fibres. As a result, hair is easier to rinse, and tangling between hair fibers are reduced.

This Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner has a sweet berries scent to it. It smells yummylicious but I refrained myself from eating it so don’t worry 😀 . The texture and consistency of the conditioner is pretty similar to normal conditioner. I thought it would be thicker but it’s not 🙂

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner Hand Swatch
You must be wondering what is the difference between this 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner with normal Pantene conditioner. This one right here contain up to 80% more of the key conditioning ingredient. It also contains the highest ever level of new generation advanced Terminal Amino-Silicones (TAS), which means higher deposition of repairing ingredients in areas of physical damage, as well as improved protection through a more uniform deposition of the protective layer on the hair surface. TAS works to flatten and smoothen the cuticle cells on the hair surface, protecting hair against damage and moisture loss from further styling and combing.

When I received this gold tube, I did not know how powerful it is. I just use it like a normal conditioner every night after shampooing my hair. I do know that my hair feels lighter, less greasier the next day, and feels somewhat extra smooth. I did not know how my hair condition looks like as I am not someone who will take a mirror to look at the back of my head LOL. So when I sat down to take a photo of my hair for this review, I was shocked. REALLY SHOCKED. I don’t have a lot of hair and the longer my hair is, the flatter it gets. This is the only time I see my hair this fluffy and looked more airy than usual. Trust me. This for me is considered airy as my usual hair is as flat as a flat bread.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner Result After
I love the bottom length of my hair! Sorry about my running shoe photo bomb 🙂

Rinsing off the conditioner was fairly easy. However this is not a silicone-free conditioner so do expect the usual slippery residue on the bathroom floor. To test the efficacy of the new Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner, I skipped a few days of not using it and the hair is back to flat bread condition. No matter how much I brush my hair to make it artificially airy, it is still flat. I just like how my hair is bouncy now when I walk, not forgetting to mention easier to manage and style as well.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner is available at all leading supermarkets and pharmacies nationwide.

Price: RM14.90 for 180ml. What?? That is so cheap!

One of the most asked question to me is what hair care range that I would recommend to strengthen weak hair or to prevent hair loss. Most of the time I am not able to answer that question as I did not have much experience with hair care products targeted for hair loss. Only one. I believe everyone do suffer from hair loss, whether it’s at a minimal or maximum state. It can be caused from bad diet, hormonal changes, post-pregnancy, weak scalp, lack of nutrient in the hair follicle and so on. I may not be bald but I do suffer from hair loss and hair breakage once in a while.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Fibre Force Range strengthens and restores even the most eroded hair to its optimal level of force and resilience after an application time between four and ten weeks. I took this trio for a spin so let’s see if it really does works for me.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Fibre Force Range
The Bonacure Fibre Force are formulated with micronized, hair-identical keratin to penetrate deep into the gaps in the Cell Membrane Complex to reconstruct damaged, eroded hair from the inside and re-cement it. Hair fibre is strengthened after a subsequent usage from four to ten weeks. This range is said to be suitable for all hair types and structures. Hmmm I don’t quite agree on that and I’ll tell you why.

Bonacure Fibre Force Shampoo (RM60 / 200ml)

The shampoo is the least favourite of mine. It has a gel-ish consistency to it and it takes a lot of product to foams up to cover the overall of my hair. The scent is very plastick-y and let’s just say I’m not a fan. I have a rather sensitive scalp so any wrong shampoo could send my scalp haywire. And it sure did. This shampoo is too drying for my scalp. It dries up the scalp surface and now my scalp are all reddish and scaling.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Fibre Force Shampoo
Due to the texture, it does rinse off quickly than other shampoo and does not leave a creamy residue to the hair. It could be a good and bad thing. For me it’s too drying. Do also note that the shampoo does contain sulfate.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Fibre Force Shampoo Foams

Bonacure Fibre Force Conditioner (RM60 / 150ml)

The conditioner however, I’m a fan. It works by restoring the hair architecture from the inside, restoring the moisture balance and seals the hair’s surface. It smells wonderful, not too creamy that will make my scalp oily (not that I’m using it on my scalp) and also due to the semi-gel-ish consistency, it rinses off completely in a jiffy. What I like is that it doesn’t leave a slippery residue on my bathroom floor that could potentially be deadly 😀 . It doesn’t weight my hair down as well, which is a good news.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Fibre Force Conditioner

Bonacure Fibre Force Fortifier Treatment (RM60 / 150ml)

I feel that the treatment cream is quite similar to the conditioner although the benefits of it are different. It works by filling the hair from the inside and strengthens it. It penetrates deep into the architecture of the hair and regenerates the inner hair. To me this is the creamier version of the conditioner so sometimes I would just use the conditioner and skipped this hair treatment if I’m rushing. On days where I really do use the treatment, my hair feels super soft. I must say this and the conditioner is my favourite so far.

Schwarzkopf Bonacure Fibre Force Fortifier Treatment
Besides the shampoo that is giving me problem, which now I need to take a few weeks to nurse it back to original state, I did see lesser hair fall or hair breakage. In fact I see a huge improvement. I tend to lose more hair when my hair gets longer and longer, especially now that I like to tie my hair up tightly on a high bun so hair grip tend to break my hair strands a lot. Lately I didn’t notice major hair loss on daily basis, after washing hair or even upon removing hair grip. Not bad, although I can live without the shampoo 😀

Schwarzkopf is available at selected pharmacies, hypermarkets and supermarkets nationwide.

+ Bonacure Fibre Force Shampoo 200ml – RM60

When everyone was buying and ordering Bioderma from oversea, I decided to sit around and wait for the brand to be brought in to Malaysia. I always believe somebody or some company would be following the hype. So when Batiste Dry Shampoo was a “hot” product, I did the same. I sit and wait. Guess what? A few months down the road and a company brought the brand in!

Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush
I’m so glad I waited because the cheapest I’ve seen from online store is around RM35 per can and I bought it straight from Aeon Big Alamanda Putrajaya for just RM24.90. Good things come to those who wait eh? There are a few supermarket that carry Batiste Dry Shampoo. You can get it from Village Grocer, Jaya Grocer, Presto Grocer (the few I know) and if all the location is out of your reach like my case, just go to Aeon Big. I went to a standalone Aeon Big but they don’t carry Batiste so I figure I might get it easier from an Aeon Big located in a mall. So I drove to Aeon Big Alamanda Putrajaya and found it.

There are eight scents available to choose from. I saw all seven scents except for the scent Tropical. I must have missed it. But anyway seven scents is more than enough 😀 . Out of the seven scents, I went for Blush. Blush is a floral and flirty scent. You know me an floral scented stuff. We are inseparable.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush Scent
Nothing to shout about on the can. It is a typical aerosol can similar to hair spray. One thing to note is that the powder substance will accumulate on the spray nozzle as time goes by.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush Spray Nozzle
Batiste Dry Shampoo is designed as a quick and convenient way to get soft, clean and fresh smelling hair minus the shampoo gel and water. This is great to be used in between hair wash because you know some people don’t wash their hair everyday. That’s not all why Batiste is well-loved all around. With the formula it has, it can revitalize greasy, dull and lifeless hair, fix fly-away hair by thickening it and adds texture and volume for styling.

If you’re a newbie to Batiste Dry Shampoo, there is a small trick on making it to work. I remember I used it wrongly for the first time and my hair is greasier than before. After lots of trial, I finally got it right. Basically you just need to section your hair, SHAKE THE CAN VIGOROUSLY before spraying (very important), hold the can a hand away and spray on the roots along the section line. But I wanted my hair to look just like I had a hair wash so I’d spray on top of the head slightly as well. Now, massage through with your fingers. The trick here is to shake the can like a mad woman before using. If you did not mix the content well, you will get an even more greasier hair. Bear in mind the content contain powdery substance, which I assume is to absorb all the oil and add volume to the hair so massage until all the powder is gone. You will end up with a pair of powdery hand thereafter.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Blush How To Use
Here is the Before and After 😀 . Hair feels clean, flowy, easy to style and smells good too. One thing I regretted is not getting the Original scent first. Blush smells pretty strong. I can smell it even after a few hours. I normally used it in the morning before I left for work. My scalp can get a little bit greasy eventhough I’ve washed my hair the night before so Batiste Dry Shampoo solved my oily scalp problem. It is something that has been bothering me for a very long time.

Have you jump onto Batiste bandwagon yet? I’m so glad I did because I have greasy hair the next day after hair wash and this quick fix solved my problem. If you’ve tried Batiste, which is your favourite scent?

Batiste Dry Shampoo is available at Aeon Big, Village Grocer, Jaya Grocer, Presto Grocer and many other more which I’ve yet to explore.

Price: RM24.90 for 120g
