Thursday is my favourite day of the week as it is the day iHerb refreshed their weekly special. However this time around I am not eyeing on what’s on the weekly special but rather something new caught my eye. I would also want to place a bigger iHerb haul but as usual, I really don’t have anything I want so this iHerb haul is another small one. I’m happy with it!

The Hyalogic Facial Relax Face Serum (RM104.01) caught my attention mainly because of the name “facial relax”. I was curious so I clicked on the product to read the description. Oh my gosh! This is a face serum that acts like a botox. It contain Argireline as its 2nd ingredient. Argireline is a unique hexapeptide that is known as THE ingredient to relax and smooth expression lines such as forehead, smile lines and around the eyes. It’s a product to minimize the appearance of wrinkles so to speak. But I was caught with its ability to relax and smooth lines. Results in 30 days some more . I need that for my forehead wrinkles lol. This is a new product on iHerb so it was on some discounted price.

Then ELF Cosmetics brought in so many new products and I literally wanted to bag everything! In the end I only bought one item as I suddenly remembered I have tons of stash inside my secret Sephora warehouse in my room. Bummer lol! I have been on the lookout for a mask brush. This ELF Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool (RM21.71) fits the bill.

I looked at my cart which only contain 2 items and I needed to get more stuff to bring the shipping fee down. At this point of time I think my DHL Express shipping fee was RM20++. It’s cheap but a bit waste if I only check out with just 2 items on hand. After some intense browsing, I really don’t have anything else I want so I grabbed the EOS Shave Cream in Lavender Jasmine (RM22.01) as a backup to my Vanilla version which I bought not too long ago. It was not a Shipping Saver item but it helps in a way. I love it so I bought another one just in case.

The last item I bought is an OG. Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer (RM27.18) is the eye primer I remember hunting Etude House store for it many years ago. It was always sold out because it was that good. If you like the Urban Decay one, you will love this more. Honestly Urban Decay one sucks but THIS IS THE BOMB. Eyeshadow stays on all day, no smudging, no creasing. It is also so much affordable than Urban Decay. I thought since my Too Faced Shadow Insurance is running out, why not.

Overall I paid RM14.28 for DHL Express Shipping. Now, that is way cheaper than the RM50++ I used to pay. I will not opt for Global Mail anymore as my Pixi Beauty parcel was lost after more than 2.5 months. iHerb kindly refunded me BUT I was told it will be just a one-time off courtesy. Knowing this, I will definitely not going to opt for Global Mail anymore even though it is free because it always got lost and iHerb already mentioned that there will be no more refund from them in the future. I would rather pay for DHL Express Shipping as it is trackable and safe.

I loveeee iHerb. I like that I am able to purchase brand and products that are not available in Malaysia. I like that sometimes some of the product goes on sale. I like that they ship to Malaysia, and I like that they now have Shipping Saver that save me some money on shipping. I like a lot of things when it comes to iHerb . My routine every morning while holding a hot cup of coffee is to browse through iHerb for their weekly special. Unfortunately not all are on 20% discount now, it is “up to 20% discount” only. But I still find some really good deals and gems. Last week’s discovery which shook me is that iHerb now carries a small collection of Pixi Beauty! And it is much more cheaper than Sephora.my.

I really do want to bag every Pixi Beauty I found. Of course I didn’t. I tell myself to be rational. I only have one face and I do have a mini Sephora at home . In the end I decided to buy the Pixi Beauty Glow Mud Mask (RM88.40, after 10% discount from RM98.22). I also get additional 5% discount using the code RKZ742

Next is something which I have been holding on for a year because (1) I’m not sure if Physicians Formula Malaysia will bring this in, and (2) it’s always out of stock. The last time I spoke to Physicians Formula Malaysia team, they told me they are not bringing in this Butter Bronzer. Reason being is the Pina Colada scent. I personally had smell the bronzer as I requested for Physicians Formula Malaysia to let me take a sniff and I find the scent to be quite nice. It wasn’t anything nauseating. You know I am super sensitive with smelly beauty products so I know one is not when I smell it. This one definitely smells good. I waited until now and finally I caved in. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Bronzer (RM62.06) is a Shipping Saver item but there was no 10% discount. I still get a 5% OFF with code RKZ742.

I have been wanting this cutie Real Techniques Miracle Mini Eraser Sponges (RM22.77) for so long and I have read nothing but good review on it. It is always out of stock too. It is supposed to be a sponge to wipe out makeup boo boo but most people are using it as a beauty blender. I am using it to blend out my under eye concealer . I do like the idea of using this to blend harsh lines though.

Last item I bought was EOS Shave Cream in Vanilla Bliss (RM20.38, after 10% discount from RM22.64). iHerb carries four different scent and this Vanilla Bliss scent was highly recommended. I am quite scared with any vanilla scent but to be honest, I can’t smell anything lol. Okay, that is a good thing after all. I have used this twice. So far I like it. Works better than hair conditioner lol.

3 out of 4 items (except EOS Shave Cream) are on Shipping Saver tab, which means it helped to lower my DHL Express Shipping fee more and more. Initially I have 4 Shipping Saver items in my cart but I removed one item. So overall I paid RM9.29 for this round of haul. Compared to the RM50-ish I have been paying recently, this is a good deal. A REALLY GOOD DEAL. If I ever choose Global Mail (normal mail) shipping, it is free! But I prefer DHL and I am more than willing to pay less than 10 bucks for that. Right before Chinese New Year, I was casually browsing iHerb like every morning and I spotted a bunch of new ELF products listed in. Normally I like to just check out the New Products section but someone these new ELF products were not listed in the New section. Hmmpphh!

I went bananas! Everything I want was in stock except for two palettes. The Illuminating Palette and Light Blush Palette. It was written that they will be in stock at the end of January so I put the products into Notify Me list. To my surprise it went back in stock much more earlier. I quickly add everything I want into the shopping cart and voilá! I complaint about the rate increase with DHL Express. Last time the rate is RM53.33 and the rate will drop to RM35.55 if your total purchase is RM177.76 and above. Then it was RM70++ and the rate did not drop with higher purchase value. I was in luck that iHerb announced a lower shipping rate less than a week after I complaint on the high shipping fee. I paid RM58.15 for total purchase of RM174.46.

First stop. Palettes! I had the Contour Palette from last year so I bought one Illuminating Palette (RM26.84) and two Blush Palette (RM26.84) each in Light and Dark. Aren’t they a beauty?

Then, brushes. These are the brushes I have been eyeing for eons ago and they are now in iHerb. Lots of Youtubers raved about these brushes especially the Small Stipple Brush (RM13.42) and Small Tapered Brush (RM13.42). I bought two of each since shipping is so expensive now. Why not get it all one short lol. I also get the Flawless Concealer Brush (RM13.42) and that brush shocked me. It is so much bigger than I thought!

Additionally I also picked up two of my current product as I am about to run out. The Lip Exfoliator (RM13.42), which I have reviewed here and Kiss It Goodbye Lip Color Remover (RM13.42), which I have also reviewed before here.

I still like to shop at iHerb but the higher shipping rate makes me cringe. What I do is to wait for the rate to drop as iHerb seems to be dropping the rate once in a while to attract sales. According to them, their prices has also dropped. I have yet to notice that except for some cheaper Real Techniques brush set, which they later increased it back to normal price. Not sure what iHerb is doing increasing and dropping rate like that lol.
