Gaston Luga Praper
Oh wow. Come to think of it, the last time I used a backpack was when I was still in school. I have never use any since I left school! Backpack is pretty much a preferred bag for most people especially now that most backpack are made to hold laptop securely and comfortably. I’m a girly girl as you all may already know so it never cross my mind to style myself with one until recently, where I’ve seen lots of guys and girls carrying Gaston Luga backpack on Instagram. You can say I’m very selective with what I have on me and I definitely don’t mind a Gaston Luga!

Gaston Luga hailed all the way from Stockholm, Sweden. Yes, all orders made are shipped directly from Sweden. They are a Swedish backpack retailer and has quickly rose to instant favourite of many people of all ages and background being the top search for men’s / women’s backpack recommendation. Reason being? They are all about minimalistic design and I do notice that people nowadays are into simple yet stylish and versatile design. So it is not hard to fall in love with any Gaston Luga backpack. As someone who has never touched a backpack since the school days, I immediately knew what I want the minute I took a look at their website. It’s really not that hard if you are like me who are into minimalistic of everything 😀

Gaston Luga Clässic are the most preferred backpack from what I’ve seen and read from the internet but I personally would go head over heels for the Gaston Luga Pråper backpack. Then comes the color selection. Boy oh boy that was hard. A part of me wanted to go all black because it is the easiest choice and easiest pairing with most clothes, another part of me wanted to choose something different as I am also all about being different from the rest. So I chose Pråper in Olive & Black, a color which are mostly seen on the guys but rarely on the girls. That is why I wanted this particular color combination.

Gaston Luga Praper Front
Why not the Clässic you asked? Well, I like my bags to have structure to it. Meaning I like my bag to have a shape and able to sit on its own without me worrying too much that it will tumble or sliding down. This preference of mine applies to all bags, regardless it is carry-on bags, shoulder bags, clutch and so on. Pråper is also different as it is made using two types of material – thick, strong cotton canvas for the body and shoulder straps and leather for the flap and bottom base for durability and better water resistance.

Gaston Luga Praper Structure
Most backpack are with zipper closure but Gaston Luga ones are with drawstring closure. I personally don’t find this to be insecure or intimidating because the bag itself is quite deep so any valuable items falls deep inside the bag. Furthermore you will be pulling the drawstring tightly close and it doesn’t loosen up by itself at all. Pretty secure I would say.

The adjustable shoulder straps here are pretty cool and neat.

Gaston Luga Praper Shoulder Strap
I am not that tall or big size and I have this constant worries that a backpack would look humongous on me, like how I’ve seen some girls with backpack. I didn’t want to be one of those girls where their backpack is bigger than them! And I was quite worried at first seeing Gaston Luga Pråper backpack for the first time because it looked so huge! I am happy to report that all is good as I somewhat look cute with a backpack 😀 . I adjusted my bag to the second top hole so that the bag sit on a comfortable height on my back. With a laptop in the bag, it actually feels comfortable on the bag and the shoulder straps are absolutely comfy on the shoulder. There was no stress or pulling.

Gaston Luga Praper Back
Pråper has 2 smaller inner pockets right in front of the laptop compartment. But what I was excited about is the passport pocket on the back of the bag because this is where I put my phone. Oppss! It is not meant for a bigger phone as the top bit of the phone is peeking out but I put my phone there for easy access. Put whatever you want I say!

Gaston Luga Praper Passport Pocket 1
Pråper can fit a whole lots of things. I wouldn’t do much justice to how spacious this backpack is because I usually go out with minimal stuff. On a typical day, this is what I usually bring. Nothing much. Just my laptop, wallet, phone, water bottle, car keys, a face mist (a must!), lipstick of the day, blotting paper or powder and an eyeliner because I have watery eyes and eyeliner tend to disappear lol.

I mentioned this on my Instagram Stories before that I loveeee the Pråper’s expandable metal hook closure. Have you seen anything like this??! I haven’t. It makes opening and closing the top flap so much easier. Extra brownie points for the coolest design of all 😀

Gaston Luga Praper Expandable Metal Hook Closure

The Twee 1
I nearly missed the launch of THE TWEE first Southeast Asia flagship store at KL Gateway Mall launch last week. As soon as I stand in front of the store, I knew I would like this. I made my way into the huge store swaying left and right (because it was so big) and find myself looking in awe. Even the men’s section are looking cool. Pretty much my style. Love the décor, the style, the display, the everything!

THE TWEE is a Korean fashion brand, designed and imported directly from South Korea. If you want to look like a Korean star, be like the Korean star and dress like a Korean star, THE TWEE is where you should start looking at 😛

The Twee 2
It’s latest collection features more than 20 contemporary looks, from bright to balmy colours to depicting floral patterns, ready for the summer for both the men and women collection. It also reflects the current Korea’s warm and florally weather at the moment. None the less THE TWEE has all the latest fashion trend in Korea at the store.

The Twee 3
Lucky for us, THE TWEE made these collections to befitting to the Malaysia weather. You know, the hot and humid weather and not the breezy Korean weather 😀 . So do expect the clothes to be airy and comfortable even under the hot sun.

The Twee 4

The Twee 5
Hallyu also known as the Korean Wave has made its way through fashion, beauty, hairstyle, food and many more other products that continue to fascinate Malaysians. I for one is oblivious with the K-pop stars but for fashion and accessories, I know a thing or two 😉 . With these many Korean-fanatic fan base here, I doubt THE TWEE will have any problem settling down.

The Twee 6

The Twee 7

The Twee 8
THE TWEE has grown as the best Specialty Store Retailers of Private Label Apparel brand in Korea, which now has more than 40 stores and has since expanded to China with 8 retail stores. It’s first Southeast Asia flagship store in KL Gateway Mall Bangsar South has an aim to drive Southeast Asia consumers to Malaysia as it intend to be one of the go-to fashion stop for consumers.

Let’s take a quick look at the rest of the men’s selection.

Something Borrowed Lace Bodycon Dress 1
I have a few beautiful new dresses in the wardrobe and one of it is this Lace Bodycon Dress. Tell you a funny story on this dress. I had three dresses in my shopping cart and I was checking out. I always pay for my dress purchases with my Paypal and that day, no idea what is wrong with me that I decided I wanted to make payment using my Maybank account. So I hit the go back button and the page went missing. Then I saw the so-called order in my account with “payment pending” on it. I clicked on the order, didn’t see any button to click so I could make payment and I wanted to re-add all the dresses into my cart so I could reorder. This Lace Bodycon Dress was the last piece so I wasn’t able to find it anymore. I called Zalora as I was desperate. Here’s what’s interesting. I was told the order did not went through (as I expected as I didn’t pay for it) and there is no way they could “release” this dress back into the market from their end. All I can do is to wait 4 hours for the system to auto-refresh. If I still didn’t see it in 4 hours, that means it will take 24 hours. Oh my gosh!

So, as you can expect it was a stressful day that day as I really wanted the dress and it was the one and only last piece available. To make things worse, I was about to go out for an event. That means in 4 hours time I will not be at home to snatch the dress into my cart and pay immediately. 4 hours late I checked Zalora site again and the dress is still unavailable. I continued with the event, went home, fire up my laptop in zero to hundred second and voilá! I saw the dress. No one have bought it!! My lucky day.

This Lace Bodycon Dress is by Something Borrowed and I got it for RM29 only. I had a 20% discount code with certain purchase amount and so I paid RM23.20 in the end. Besides Maxqullo and Missguided, Something Borrowed is one of the brand that I like from Zalora. This dress has lace all over. It is only available in Size M, which is a size larger than what I used to wear from Something Borrowed. But it fits me perfectly, with some spare spaces on the tummy, which I am quite happy with. Despite a size larger, it is super flattering on me, although the looser back doesn’t sit well on my smaller upper body. It has a long see-through lace sleeves with a deep-V back. I had my eyes on the black last time but this red is prettier than I expected. Plus I’ve always wanted a red dress so why not.

Something Borrowed Lace Bodycon Dress 2
I wore this to Clarins Double Serum press launch two weeks ago. Red coincide with Clarins’ logo color. The event was one of the major launch for Clarins and it was held at St. Regis KL. This dress I say was perfect for the occasion, the event and the venue. And of course I have to pair this dress with a heels from my all-time favourite shoe brand, Billini 🙂

Dress: Something Borrowed Lace Bodycon Dress (RM29.90 after discount)
Heels: Billini Oasis (RM59 after discount)
Necklace: H&M Gold Dual-Long Necklace (RM10 after discount)

You can also add some stylish items to your wardrobe when you’re on a budget with Houseoffraser.co.uk. It provides you with deals and fabulous discounts on a plethora of clothing patterns.

I meant to start a What I Wore series after mentioning briefly about it in my Prada Minimal Baroque Sunglasses post some time ago. It was supposed to be called Favourite Look of the Week, then I realized it’s harder for me to do it once a week. So, instead of choosing one favourite look from the entire week, I’m going to post one by one (if any). Hence this What I Wore series 😀

I have so many looks I wanted to talk about and I keep on forgetting about it. Let’s start today’s series with a simple one. A current casual wear which I have been sporting every now and then.

Ripped jeans is the best jeans one could own. It goes with everything! I like to pair my ripped jeans, which I bought from H&M with a simple T-shirt. Most of the time it’s a Monki white T-shirt with some motives on the front but my favourite T-shirt is still my very own #IWillBeOkay T-shirt.

A recent new love – Crocs Leigh II Ankle Strap Wedge in black. This is one costly wedges at RM289 a pair but it is so comfortable. As you know, Crocs is known for their rubbery comfort and this is none the less. I walk extra faster with these wedges on and it doesn’t hurt my feet at all. It sort of makes you bounce as you walk but hey, I am cool with that 😀 . The height is just nice, although it’s too low for my liking. I like my heels to be at least 4 inches high 😛 but this wedges height is super comfortable for an everyday wear and for the days I want some heels on but not too high so I’m not complaining!

Top: #IWillBeOkay Fight Against Depression Awareness Campaign T-Shirt (RM39.90)
Jeans: H&M (RM30 after price slash and further slash! lol)
Shoe: Crocs Leigh II Ankle Strap Wedge (RM289)
