Estée Lauder

Estée Lauder Isetan Anniversary Pre-Sales Haul

I did it again. Another Estée Lauder haul thanks to the recent Isetan Anniversary sales happening from 27th April to 6th May 2012.

This is what I came home with. I accumulated my wish list and bought everything in one shot. EL’s GWP is always attractive :p

I always wanted to try Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher as I’ve heard lots of good review on it. Just for this sales, Estée Lauder brought in 75ml Limited Edition size. Estée Lauder Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher 75ml is selling for RM370 and according to Isetan newsletter it comes with a 5-pc GWP; Optimizer (toner) 15ml, ANR 15ml, ANY Eye 5ml, Moisturizer 15ml and a pouch.

After trying the deluxe sample of Take It Away Total Make Up Remover, it’s on my wish list as well. The beautician who was attending me at that time did not understand which is it and she told me they only have 2 type of make up remover which is the oil or the milk. Weird. So I option for Estée Lauder Take It Away Gentle Cleansing Milk 200ml for RM110.
I also bought a Estée Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer 30ml for RM118. This is the first main item in my wish list!

As my haul sums up to RM598, the beautician suggest that I add another item otherwise I’d waste a RM10 cash voucher as it’s only RM2. I wanted a eye make up remover but it’s RM90+ and I’d be at another dilemma so I thought of getting a loose powder to set my BB creme before powder foundation. CyberWhite Extra Brightening Loose Powder SPF 15/ PA++ is one of my “later” wish list but the beautician don’t encourage me using that as the shiny particles will make my face oilier. After hearing my usage with loose powder she suggested me Estée Lauder So Ingenious Multi-Dimension Loose Powder #04 Transparent 18g which is selling for RM130. I kinda like #01 Light instead as the base is slightly pink with more shinier particles but it might be too light for me 🙁

As for the GWP, some negotiation is needed in order to confirmed my purchase and GWP. As I mentioned above, Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher comes with a 5-pc GWP so even though my total purchase is RM728 I’m not entitled for RM420 GWP, RM550 GWP and RM600 Early Bird GWP. But I was given a choice to let go the Idealist GWP and I could get the rest. And I did. I would prefer the eyeshadow palette, miniature perfume, lipstick and mascara LOL.

This is GWP for RM420 purchase, top-up to RM550 and Early Bird for RM600 purchase. What I got is ANR 7ml, ANR Eye 5ml, Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette, Perfectly Clean Fresh Balancing Lotion 30ml, Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser 30ml, Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Creme 15ml, miniature Sensuous 4ml, Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara 2.8ml, Pure Color Crystal Lipstick #303 Crystal Pink, Double Wear Moisture Powder Stay-In-Place Makeup #04 Warm Vanilla 2.1g, pouch and mirror.

Overall a good buy. Have you bought any of the Limited Edition 75ml? Do share with me!

UPDATED 28TH APRIL 5.57PM – Do you check all your purchases and GWP expiry date? I do! I encounter a girl last month who was given expired EL miniature skin care GWP and this alarms me to check mine. The website I use is http://checkcosmetic.net/. Comparing with previous GWP given from Jusco BU, the GWP that I gotten from this haul (Isetan Gardens) is old. There’re some made in 2009! And everything else is 2010.

  • Good for you girl. I love your EL hauls! Welcome to the club 🙂 I like the Idealist Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher, hides my pores a little upon application and it’s got a nice subtle citrus scent. I use it during day time and at night, I use ANR.

    I bought the ANR and Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher yesterday. Anyway, I opt for the serum GWP and didn’t go for the RM420, RM550 GWP and RM600 Early bird GWP. I’ve not ventured into make up so I thought it’ll be good to get miniature size of the products which I’m using like ANR 15 ml and ANR eye cream.

  • Hehe thanks 🙂

    I like the fact that the Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher turns to matter after spreading! Amazing.

    Wow you bought ANR and Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher? That’s great! I’m was asking about Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator and I was advised to just concentrate my main concern first as it’s too much for me lol.

    Did you saw the PWP set? It’s makeup set and it’s sooo tempting 😛

  • Haha, same here – I asked about the Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator too. But I thought of swapping the miniature ANR 15ml (which comes in my gift set) with 2 small Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator 7ml. However, the counter manager advised to focus on repairing my skin and pores problems first 🙂

    Aww, sorry, I did not see the PWP set at Isetan KLCC. But I know Parkson KLCC has set up a promotion area and they are selling perfume and skincare sets and also the Michael Kors gift set.

  • Michael Kors! Tempted hahaha. Make up is more appealing to me than skin care 🙂

    I’m gonna wait for the upcoming ANR roadshow at Mid Valley next week 🙂

  • Thanks for the update on expiry date checking. Yes, I am quite disappointed that most of the GWP items are quite old. Both my ANR miniature are manufactured in 2009 and have about 8 months more to go only 🙁

    The thing is the batch code for my ANR miniature is not clear but even making some intelligent guesses and different combinations (not sure if it’s BC9 or B69 as B09 is not a valid code), they’re still going to expire in 8 months >.< Your update gave me a new perspective – sometimes when the GWP seems too good to be true, there must be a reason behind it. Sigh…

  • It’s okay. Just use the one that are going to expire soon. ANR miniature is easy to finish up in 8 months 🙂

  • wow.. some purchase … thanx for the expiry reminder… i bought anr last week n checked all the expiry dates too… i think BC9 means c=mar, 9=2009 … B69 means 6=jun, 9=2009 … thank god i memorized this bcoz to my horror, this SP in Gardens gave me sachet samples which expires on the same year n month!! when i questioned her, she quickly replaced them with fresher ones… why la they treat customers like this??

    • Normally I just look at the last number. In your case it’s 9 which means 2009. BC9 if I’m not mistaken is Dec 2009.

      A=Oct
      B=Nov
      C=Dec

      It could be a minor mistake at the counter. Just tell them and they’ll replace is. It’s okay 🙂
