When it comes to lipstick, hands down matte lipstick wins. There has been a love and hate with matte lipstick but I just love them. Not for its long lasting but for the comfort. I love how matte lipstick feels like nothing on the lips. Matte lipstick comes in many form – liquid lipstick, which is in trend at the moment, powder lipstick, which many find odd but I love it, and comfortable matte lipstick that will suit even those who are not into matte lipstick.
In the past one year, if you have been seeing photos of me with juicy, ‘my lips but better’ lips, it is not a lip balm nor a tinted lip balm. Definitely not a lip gloss as I HATE lip gloss and definitely not a lipstick. It is the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. I keep wanting to talk about this cutie but it kept slipping off my mind. Cannot not admit that I am getting old 😛
When Clarins pulled out all their cosmetic range, all their fans died a little inside.
On one Sephora online price glitch morning, I stumbled upon these Nudestix Lip + Cheek Dual Pencil going for RM27 each. There are only two dual pencil within the Nudestix range so of course, you bet I grabbed both of it. RM27 each??!! Are you kidding me? 😛 . One of this pencil is retailing for RM92! Score!
A few months went down the road and I have not break into either of the pencil yet, until one fine day.
It all started from the newly renovated Guardian store in Suria KLCC. Palladio first made it’s first appearance into the Malaysia beauty scene back in September 2016. Right before I started tapping onto my keyboard for this review, I did a quick Google search on Palladio Malaysia. It seems that Palladio was once in Malaysia. 2009 to be precise!
Palladio was created more than 25 years ago by industry veterans as botanical and vitamin infused cosmetics from the US.
Before this we have no idea what is lip oil. The name itself gave a lot away however many wonder what it does and why do we need to apply oil on our lips. But when Lancôme came out with the first lip oil – the Juicy Shaker, the rest follows and we now know what lip oil are. The choices we have here in Malaysia are very very limited, unlike those residing in the United States.
I love a good ol’ matte lipstick. It is the only thing I wear on my lip these days. Sometimes a full-on matte lipstick can be drying and accentuating all the cracks and wrinkles on the lips. Yes they can be long lasting but it will starts to get uncomfortable as the hour went by.
Jumping on the matte lipstick bandwagon is none other than Mary Kay. They recently came out with Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick that comes with a somewhat gel-like lip cushioning formula.
