Japanese Magazine Paul & Joe Review: Magazine Sweet Magazine

SWEET November 2010 X Paul & Joe Vanity Case & Pouch

When I saw the preview of the new SWEET magazine November 2010 issue that comes with Paul & Joe vanity case and pouch as the brand item last month, I said to myself I won’t get this. I said I have no use of it especially the vanity case and I have too many pouches which is still unused.

Once in a while I’d wonder where’s the magazine everytime I’m at Kinokuniya. My guess is SWEET October 2010 issue is still plentiful and most prolly Kinokuniya won’t be bringing in November issue. All along I really do thought I was right until today. As I was browsing happily for new magazines, I saw SWEET November issue! It was less than 10 copies. I was disappointed that non of the new magazine caught my eyes and some new issue is not brought in yet so I picked up Sweet instead. Reason being…it was selling at a cheap good price of RM40.30 for a set of Paul & Joe case. Who can resist two Paul & Joe item for this price? LOL. I got it at RM38.30 after Isetan member 5% discount. Heeee it even gets cheaper *evil*

Ahhhh Kinokuniya. I just love being there. And all the book smells nice too lol. I was so busy this weekday and I missed my weekday trip so I was looking forward for today. After picking up Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara at MV, I headed to KLCC.

SWEET November 2010 issue + brand item.

Magazine is about an inch thick and heavy! This is how the set looks like.

Brand item blurp on front cover. Picture is always nicer huh.

Paul & Joe vanity case. Size is OK but not as huge as I thought. There’s 2 zipper pull attached which is normal for vanity case. Material used is quite sturdy and not filmsy as well. Stitching is also neat and pipping is done at the outside.

Vanity case back view. Paul & Joe tag is at the back.

Top view and handle view.

Up close view of the brand tag.

1st downside…the handle is wrinkled. No matter how I straighten is also it’s still wrinkled.

Vanity case inside view. As you can see the pouch can fit nicely inside. Inner lining is available in black and pipping is done too.

A pocket on the case cover.

Another pocket inside the case too.

Paul & Joe pouch. 2nd down side is…the alignment is weird. One side is slightly smaller than the other side. For some reason I always get this problem. Material is the same with vanity case.

Brand tag is visible at the side of the pouch.

Inner lining is the same with vanity case. Pipping is done too. 3rd downside is…there’s obvious glue substance in the lining. I really wanted to exchange this but it’d be troublesome for Kino staff so I just suck it up thinking it’s my bad luck…AGAIN.

I have a habit of checking my brand item before leaving KLCC for just in case. Actually I can’t see clearly as the lining is black. Looks like glue substance but as it goes deep inside I can see some torn in the lining. I really don’t understand why I’m always the bad luck one 🙁
