Clean As You Go – Do you clean your product as you use?

I do. Every single day 🙂

I have a good habit of cleaning my skin care and makeup after using. I don’t put away my stuff before wiping it clean. I couldn’t stand seeing my skin care or makeup dirty. The most recent MAC compact powder I’m using really do need some wiping after use. The case design and color doesn’t make my life easier. I believe eyeshadow palette and blusher disburse a lot of excess each use as well.

Sometimes time is also a factor of putting product back to it’s original place. I tried not to. I’m a bit phobia when it comes to cleanliness. Plus I like the feeling of opening a new product although it’s not new at all haha.

Actually cleaning as you go is not that hard and take a lot of time. Just use a normal tissue for skin care, tissue or wet tissue for makeup. But of course only if you don’t mind whipping out your dirty makeup in the public 🙂

Now tell me I’m not the only one here. Anyone clean as you go too?

  • Every time without fail. Just something I do naturally.

    • I think cosmetic counter should clean their makeup tester more cause some really do look yucky 😛

  • Even when they clean it, I don’t think it is really clean because they use it on everyone. I agree with you, some really look yucky.

  • This is a good habit. In the morning usually I am in a rush so I don’t clean the items. I normally use compact powder and blush and eye shadow. So the messy ones are the compact pwoder and blush edges because the brush will pick up fall out. On weekends I make it a habit to clean the rims of the products and clean my brushes as well 🙂

    • Compact powder are the most dirtiest hehe. Mine too that’s why I make sure I clean it otherwise it’d be quite embarrassing to take out and use in public 🙂

  • Ahaha, for me, I don’t touch up in public actually. Sometimes I work thru lunch at my deak and only managed to brush my teeth before I start working with people again. Perhaps I should learn to touch up a little, makes me look fresh and not so haggard until the late hours at night. Work is work, but looking good makes me feel better sometimes 🙂

    • I have a bad habit of touching up everywhere, anywhere. Sometimes when I’m in the mid of talking to my boss I can whipped out my lipstick and mirror and start applying lipstick LOL!!! I think I freak them out at first but now everyone is numb already with me and my makeups.

  • Hahahha, that’s quite random and funny at the same time 🙂 At most I whip out my mini comb while walking to the car park lift or while in the lift to office just to make sure my hair is in place because I always walk like a horse or wind – big long steps! Always in a hurry, rushing for meetings…sometimes I just wish to slow down and take small dainty lady like steps instead. But I find myself using my Maybelline baby lips balm at most if you consider that touch up. Even so, sometimes people will stare…and I get uncomfortable as though I am a vain pot but dude, it’s not even a sexy red colour lipstick that I am flashing around. I find it disgusting to touch up in the washroom because of the smell and dirty state it is in. Can you imagine our prestigious office location, yet the washroom is so filty? Not sure what type of people I have on my floor…

    • I don’t touch up in the washroom. Mostly at my work space hehe. I have a big makeup case in front of me everyday.

Let me guess. The floors are all wet?

  • Wow big makeup case is nice! Floor is wet, sink is wet, hand napkin all over the floor because people pull many sheets like there’s no tomorrow, the smell and stench, sometimes people just hog the sink or full length mirror etc. Since I don’t have a permanent workstation per se, I also don’t feel like bringing compact powder and brush in my handbag…and I don’t have miniature eyeshadow which I can bring along too. Oh well…unless there’s a really really hot date after work or hot guy at work, my minimalist make up should suffice I guess 🙂

    • I understand. My ex-office at KLCC is the same. Apparently some like to pee at the floor thus the wet floor and smell.

You can always walk in to get a quick touch up if you have a hot date after work 😛
