Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion: A Hydrating Lotion That Doubles Up as Face Mist

Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion 1
I remember a few months ago I was casually browsing at Watsons Kajang and I stopped briefly because I saw this Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion on the shelf and I was curious at it. I do not remember Hada Labo having such product so I assumed it was new. Yeap. It is new alright.

Give me any face mist and I would be jumping up and down in joy. It is only starting last year that I begin to appreciate face mist more due to drier skin condition. A few of my friends asked what exactly is this Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion. The word “lotion” also represent toner for the Japanese. But because Hada Labo also include a separate nozzle spray top in the packaging, this lotion can be used a face mist throughout the day as well.

Wouldn’t it be sticky? This is one common question I get the most whenever I speak about this Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion. You see, every other country for example Japan is using their toner as mid-day face mist. It is only in hotter climate such as Malaysia that we never thought of doing so. Understandably, colder country need extra hydration. So are we. Eventhough we live in a humid country, our skin can get dehydrated and thus face become oily. Besides using Kiwamizu Lotion as toner, you can actually use it as a mist to help keep the skin hydrated all day long. And I love the idea of Hada Labo including a nozzle spray. Why didn’t anyone thought of that!

As a lotion, I did not find this to be sticky. In fact I want my face to really soak all the lotion that I would normally mist heavily onto my face as toner. The lotion is watery and feels like water when in contact with the face. Yes it can get a bit sticky on top of makeup if you are heavy handed like me so go easy with it although I do not. I even set my makeup with this 😀

Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion are blended with six types of minerals namely Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Copper, Potassium and Sodium, together with two Amino Acids namely Arginine and Trimethylglycine. This lotion works by re-balancing the oil and water in the skin layer and it moisturises from the inside-out.

All the minerals are to improve and strengthen skin cells. It also cool and calm irritated skin. Amino Acids on the other hand supply nutrients to nourish the skin, strengthening the connective tissue so that the skin stays smooth and elastic. Scent wise, it is basically scent-less and also color-less. It comes in two sizes – 400ml and 180ml. The one I have is 180ml and that is too huge for travel so if you plan to bring this for travel, do pour it out into a smaller bottle. Otherwise this will be too heavy.

Hada Labo Kiwamizu Lotion is available exclusively at Watsons stores nationwide.

Price: 400ml – RM45.90, 180ml – RM19.90
