Cyber Colors Make Up - Remover Review: Make Up

Review: Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and Purifying Cleansing Oil (Grapefruit)

No fancy schmancy title today. The product name is already this long so I wouldn’t want to burden you girls reading a super lengthy title 😀 .

What you are about to read below is exciting. Isn’t the cute design already draw your attention? This Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski collaboration is actually the first for Cyber Colors and they launched their debut collaboration with renowned Comme des Garcons graphic artist, Filip Pagowski. If you Google Filip Pagowski you will find yourself ogling at his uber cool website. He is one of the most sought-after artist on the fashion scene today.

Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski 1
Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski collaboration is themed as “Open Your Eyes”. It is a limited edition collection which include two of Cyber Colors best-seller products, Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and Purifying Cleansing Oil (Grapefruit).

The Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski collection feature Filip Pagowski’s signature eye images. I suppose that’s where the theme idea is originated from. The bottle of the collection is super cute. Even the outer clear box is also full with Filip Pagowski’s signature eye images.

Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Gentle Eye Makeup Remover (RM65.90 / 250ml Maxi Size)

Cyber Color repacked it’s best seller – Gentle Eye Makeup Remover with the exclusive “Open Your Eyes” graphics, making it a collection for it’s fans. I believe fans of the best seller will definitely grab this limited edition maxi size judging from it’s accumulated sales over 1 million units within Asia alone!

One of my favourite eye makeup remover has got to be a bi-phase type remover. Bi-phase means two layer, usually in blue color. A bi-phase eye makeup remover contain a layer of water-based remover at the bottom while the oil-based remover is floating on top of the water. I usually have waterproof eye makeup all over, any other eye makeup remover that is not a bi-phase will not work for me. You will know what I mean once you’ve tried removing RMK Extra Deep W Mascara 😀

I hate the need to shake the bottle half way through removing. A plus point that I find about Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Gentle Eye Makeup Remover is that once I shake the bottle vigirously for long, the two layer of remover doesn’t separate fast. I can still take my time with one eye before moving to the other eye without the need to re-shake the bottle.

I sometimes do wonder how most people remove their eye makeup as I often heard horror story on how they ended up with panda eyes and all. I still remember many years ago I was watching the Taiwan show, Queens on TV and I learnt how to remove eye makeup properly from there. I’ve been doing this way since then. Here’s how I do it.

(1) Take a cotton pad, shake the bottle of Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and pour onto one end of the cotton pad in a long line.
(2) Hold the soaked part of the cotton pad with all four fingers underneath it, align the “line” underneath eyelash and push up towards the lid.
(3) Hold it for 10 seconds. Slowly wiggle your hand without moving the cotton pad from it’s possible.
(4) Repeat Step 1 on the other end of the cotton pad and use the sides to clean any residue. Usually there’s no residue if you use this method. There isn’t any panda eyes at all too 😀

Many people ask me before…why push the eyelash from bottom to the lid? A simple explanation on the reason why you need to put the remover underneath eyelash and push up to your lid is because mascara is applied from bottom, not from the top 😀

The Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Gentle Eye Makeup Remover is basically scentless. Although it’s an oil-based remover, surprisingly it’s not as oily as other eye makeup remover in the market. My eye area is only a tad bit with oil, so barely that I don’t feel it and not looking like an oil slick at all. Despite it’s drier formulation, it does it’s job superbly. I definitely had put this best seller product into a tough test with one of my toughest to remove mascara – the RMK Extra Deep W Mascara. You know what? I managed to get it off with the first removing. Subsequent removing is only to ensure I get all residue off.

Another plus point is none of the remover get into my eyes. So there was no irritation or eye burning sensation. What I really like beside those that I have already mentioned is that there wasn’t any black residue that slip into my eyes. You know those black chunky stuff on the inner lid? Yeap. None of those. However I do notice that I will have those black chunky stuff if I over-soak my cotton pad.

Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Purifying Cleansing Oil – Grapefruit (RM109.90 / 450ml)

Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Purifying Cleansing Oil (Grapefruit) 1
Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Purifying Cleansing Oil (Grapefruit) is a limited debut edition product in the collection. This striking bright, cheerful orange Purifying Cleansing Oil comes in a huge 450ml bottle. If you are thinking to collect the eye makeup remover, I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to grab this too 😀

It comes in a open-close pump bottle. My pump is a bit faulty so once I pump it for the first time, I will need to manually pull the dispenser up before I can pump another time and so on.

Last week I talk about Micellar Water makeup remover and how I’m still not into it yet. Why? Because I absolutely love using either cleansing gel or cleansing oil to remove my makeup. I find cleansing oil does a good and thorough job in getting rid of all makeup and residue from my face.

I’ve never smell any grapefruit scented beauty product before. I thought it will smells like an orange but I was so wrong. This Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Purifying Cleansing Oil (Grapefruit) smells AMAZING. I don’t know how to explain the scent but it’s definitely citrusy. Not sweet at all despite the fruit scent 😀 . Cyber Colors said this cleansing oil is lightweight. I have to agree on that. It’s lightweight BUT does a pretty good job in removing. Usually I would use three pumps. Two pumps is actually enough but three is perfect for a smoother massage all over.

Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Purifying Cleansing Oil (Grapefruit) 3
Using this Cyber Colors X Filip Pagowski Purifying Cleansing Oil (Grapefruit) is just like any other cleansing oil. Pump three pumps onto the palm and massage all over the face. The pump doesn’t work as smoothly as I thought so I have sprinkles and squirts of cleansing oil all over the bathroom floor when I’m dispensing it out. Not really a biggie since I always remove my makeup during shower.

Remember it’s lightweight and it’s much more smoother. All the oil will just melt away when in touch with water. I have also tried using this Purifying Cleansing Oil with wet palm unintentionally. This oil doesn’t emulsify off when in contact with wet palm. Only with running water. But always follow up with a cleansing foam, alright? 🙂 . Purifying Cleansing Oil may be smelling all grapefruit but it’s colorless. Don’t let the orange bottle fool you, like how it did to me lol. So no worries about ending up with orangey face after that.

At the beginning I was thinking to myself gosh these two duo is quite expensive but then judging from it’s ml content, it all makes sense to be priced in such. Quite a few friend of mine who is a Sa Sa frequent do buy the Gentle Eye Makeup Remover on regular basis. I have not tried it before until lately. This jumbo bottle will last me for quite some time but I will definitely repurchase it. Really like the fact that the remover doesn’t get into my eyes and there’s no black chunky residue left in my eyes. Does anyone encounter this problem? Or you don’t flip your eyelid to check? Haha. Do take a look. You’ll be surprised 😛

  • You looked like you are enjoying the massage very much haha^^ . I’m curious on grapefruit scent. IMHO it is a bit costly. Anyhoo like you said the ml is more. In conclusion more or less it is the same ^^

    • I did LOL. I did a makeup tutorial on the same morning so I was happy to be able to remove my makeup (I don’t wear makeup on the weekend). That’s right. The cost equals back to the ml content 🙂

    • Hehe me too! Mum was asking me the other day how will I be able to finish all the makeup remover because the whole bathroom is full with my stuff. I told her I will need to put on makeup all day and all night. Even to sleep haha.

Here’s the sequence on which I like best. Senka Perfect Watery Oil, Cyber Colors Purifying Cleansing Oil, Senka Perfect Gel and lastly Biore Cleansing Oil. You missed out DHC one hehe. That would have to come before Biore if so.

        • Sequence thing is nothing. Thought you might want to know how I rank my remover products lol. Take your time with your current remover. This won’t runaway hehe. I know you put on lesser makeup nowadays due to your skin sensitivity.

  • How did you take a good care of your lips? Any good product to rec?

    Reply
    • You can either use lip scrub products while doing your skin care but I do it with running the cotton pad with toner after face on my lips and then apply Mentholatum Orange Lip Pure Lip Balm 😀

Or the cheapest way is to brush your lips with toothbrush. Just make sure your lips and the toothbrush is wet.

  • Hehe, my favourite Hello Kitty is doing a review on makeup remover 🙂 The cute pink ribbon clips are making their debut 🙂 I thought the quirky graphic design is appropriate and befitting for the eye makeup remover. I would think that for grapefruit scented makeup remover is a brilliant idea. I love citrusy products provided they are not overwhelming. Nice scent and interesting graphic, definitely a winner in both product and packaging. Too bad I have stocked up a lot of cleansing oil. I will keep this one in my wishlist.

    • Hahahahaha! I knew you will notice 😉 . Been using the hair clips a lot. It doesn’t give me headache. Does this collaboration reminds you of Shu Uemura? But of course those cleansing oil are much more expensive. This is something I can afford to try 🙂 . I’d have fallen for the quirky design! The grapefruit scent is not overwhelming. Just a light one.
