Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer in Cool Medium 2: Good for covering marks but creases on the under eye

What I notice lately on the beauty scene is that everyone is raving on two concealer – NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer. NARS is on the high price side and when Collection Cosmetics was launched, beauty bloggers as well as YouTubers start to go cray cray over Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer saying that it’s actually a cheaper alternative dupe of NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. I, on the other hand never use any concealer before as I don’t have dark eye circles as a result of getting at least 8-9 hours of well-rested beauty sleep every night. Now that I only sleep 4-5 hours max, I find myself stumbling searching for a concealer suitable for me. Last weekend out of the blue I wanted to get my paws on Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer. And so I did.

Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Concealer
When I walked into Watsons KLCC and headed straight to Collection Cosmetics shelf, I saw a BA standing there and I thought hey that’s great. I can get her to help me choose the right shade for me. It turns out I was just hoping too much. I told her that I need the lightest shade and she handed me the tester for Light 2. She doesn’t seems to answer my question properly for example I ask her if this concealer will crease on the under eye and her answer to me was “yes it can be used on acne marks”. LOL. After I made my payment only I notice I was holding Cool Medium 2 tube. I went back to her telling her that she have gotten me the wrong shade and she told me there’s only 2 shades available – Cool Medium 2, which is the new packaging for Light 2 and another darker shade which I couldn’t remember what is the shade name. Well, too late to regret because I’ve already paid.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo: Feeling love and hate at the same time, well mostly hate

Ever since NYX was made available in Sephora, I haven’t properly look into its range of products. How can I. Every time I went to Sephora KLCC, NYX shelf is always the busiest and crowded of all. Beats the whole Sephora crowd. There is something about NYX. I see girls with a group of friends making a beeline to the section, crowding the entire section and took several hours swatching, making it almost impossible for me to even see anything. I think I was in luck one Sunday. I went to Sephora KLCC with the intention of grabbing the Soft Matte Lip Cream. I managed to do three swatches (I know right, just three swatches) before a group of girls pushing me away from my back, my left and right. Haigh. Again.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream San Paulo
The shades that I managed to swatch is San Paulo, Milan and Istanbul. I wanted an everyday shade so the first I pick up was Istanbul. The shade is alright and then I swatched Milan and it is too pale for my dark lips. I had my eyes on San Paulo. The swatch came out vibrant, lovely dark fuchsia shade but I was worried that it might be too bold on me. I couldn’t make up my mind between Istanbul or San Paulo so I walk around a bit to decide.

ZA Ever Brows: For a natural, precise shape and colour brow, that makes everyone go “where did you do your eyebrow embroidery?”

Just before I rediscovered Daiso Eye Brow Pencil, I was actually using ZA Ever Brows in 03 Natural Gray for my brows. I did not expect to bump into my old love Daiso Eye Brow Pencil so when I did, I was so happy about it that I decided to tell you about it first. I’ve already finished the whole Daiso pencil (yes, that fast) so now I’m back to ZA Ever Brows 😀 . Let me tell you, this baby will send you running to Watsons store in no time…especially dark hair girls *hint*

ZA Ever Brows 03 Natural Gray
ZA (pronounced as zi ei) may be a drugstore brand but it is one of the brand that produce good skin care and makeup products. I am a ZA makeup fan, no secret about that and I’m constantly lurking around ZA shelf at Watsons for Skin Beauty Two-Way Foundation refill dual-pack promotion. I’ve tried most of ZA makeup products for the past 10 years. ZA Ever Brows is something that I keep repurchasing before I started blogging, but in Dark Brown shade. Let’s just say I stray a bit after I started blogging. Eventhough so, I always go back to ZA.

ELF Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15: Something not meant for oily skin

Many many years ago I started off my journey into makeup by getting Korean and American brands by joining online sprees. My repeat order has always been Missha and ELF. ELF was my favourite because of the price. It is US$1 per item for the basic line, which is known as Essential line now. Most spree cost about RM6 per item, a bit high after conversation but hey, the seller got to earn a bit too for organizing the spree right? 🙂 . So I was more than happy to pay RM6 per ELF item.

One particular item that I ordered the most is ELF Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15. I have no idea what Tinted Moisturizer is at that time. It looks like a foundation but I remember hating it very much because the coverage was so sheer that none of my acne marks were covered. Not even a tiny bit. I ended up giving away most of it to my friends, who I’m sure doesn’t know a clue what to do with it too lol.

While I was browsing for stuffs to order on iHerb, I stumbled upon this ELF Tinted Moisturizer again. So I started googling and I found out that this best-seller product is actually discontinued and was replaced with ELF Studio Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20. So I order one ELF Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 #Apricot Beige from iHerb for USD$1.99. Initially I wanted to order three but since I can’t remember much about it, I only order one. Plus iHerb only have one shade. I suppose this is the leftover stock after the product was discontinued.

Daiso Eye Brow Pencil: It was out of stock a year ago and recently back on shelf!

So the story is, I was very much into trying out different Daiso Eye Brow Pencil and this particular eye brow pencil caught my eye due to the catchy packaging and it is the one eye brow pencil that doesn’t look as cheapo as the rest. I bought it, used it the next morning, love it so much that I wanted to tell you about it. I even went back to get a spare. Two weeks later right before penning down my review, I went to Daiso to double check if it’s still available. You know, just in case it was taken out of shelf then it wouldn’t be nice to talk about something that was out of stock. Turns out my sixth sense was right after all. It was out of stock everywhere (the few Daiso I went to).

To be frank, I never stop searching for this eye brow pencil. It has been a year and I still have hope that one day it will reappear on the shelf again. Just last week I went to Daiso to repurchase some Anna Sui inspired brush holder, so I casually walked over to the eye brow pencil section and I couldn’t believe what I just saw. The long out of stock eye brow pencil is now well-stocked up on shelf!

Daiso Eye Brow Pencil 1
Since I wasn’t willing to spend near to RM40 for an Empro from Watsons, this Daiso one would be the perfect alternative 😀 . I am not particular about eye brow pencil brand, price or whatsoever because I go through eye brow pencil like no body’s business. So I’m constantly on the lookout for interesting eye brow pencil to try. Oh gawd, this reminds me to get Shu Uemura H9.

Maybelline Pure.Liquid Mineral Healthy Natural Liquid Foundation SPF18 PA+++: My current foundation acquisition and love

Ever since I started to use liquid foundation last year, I couldn’t stop thinking about buying more. When a brand launched a new season collection makeup, I used to look at blush first. Now I look at foundation. Last time I can never understand why anyone would keep buying foundation one by another. I can understand why now that I’m a part of it. It’s crazy!

My latest drugstore brand liquid foundation acquisition is none other than Maybelline Pure.Liquid Mineral Healthy Natural Liquid Foundation SPF18 PA+++.

Maybelline Pure.Liquid Mineral Healthy Natural Liquid Foundation 1
I’ve always wanted to go L’Oreal Group warehouse sales but each time they organise one, it’s either too far or I’m too busy. This time around they had it at a place where I deemed as “far”, nonetheless I dragged my mum along and drove all the way there on a Sunday afternoon. I was there to look for Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer but unfortunately there was none. In fact there was no concealer sighted. All the makeup products there are kinda “old” and these old and dirty packaging is such a turn off. I look around L’Oreal True Match foundation and suddenly the BA came over to help me, which I appreciate because I was lost in the sea of L’Oreal foundations. They had so many types! I ask about Maybelline Pure.Liquid Mineral Healthy Natural Liquid Foundation and she said that’s more drying. With lightning immediate speed I dropped everything and concentrate on that instead because I do have oily skin and dry foundation is my thing.
