Elite Cosmetics Make Up - Face Review: Make Up

Review: Elite Paris Fantastic Primer

Sometime in November 2011, I attended Elite Cosmetics makeup launch in Malaysia and today I’m going to review one of the product which was given to me in the door gift bag.

I was delighted to received a Elite Fantastic Primer in my door gift bag as the MUA was promoting this during the makeover. Fantastic Primer comes in a 15ml glass bottle which is so hard that it didn’t broke when I accidentally dropped the bottle not once but 3 times lol! It is retailing at RM42.90. Elite cosmetics products are made in Italy and available exclusively at Watsons Malaysia. It is not available anywhere else as Watsons is the sole importer for the brand.

A make up base that matifies, hydrates and enegises. Hydration of the upper layers of the epidermis.

Water (Aqua), Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Dimenthicone Crosspolymer, PVP, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Laureth-7, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Parfum (Fragrance), Plankton Extract

There’s no written instruction on how to apply this.

This make up base or primer some might called it is in gel form. I’ve never use any gel form make up base before.

I usually pump about 3 to 4 pumps on my palm, warm it with both hands and gently apply onto my face after skin care and sun block. Sometimes I gently swipe on and sometimes I press onto my face. I wanted to try out which works better for my skin type and I find that it doesn’t make any different. This is how the gel looks like after spreading. It will melt into your skin as soon as you put it on your face. Which is pretty amazing.

Oh welllll, hmmm… on the first day I paired this with MUFE High Definition Foundation and it works well in making my face appear less oilier than usual. I’m not sure if it’s this make up base or it’s the foundation so I tried this with different foundation and sad to say this is not the one which has been making my face more matte than usual =(. For me it doesn’t hydrate or energise my skin. I have my Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Gel on which is doing the hydrating job for the skin.

1) Affordable for those who are new to make up.
2) Superb for normal skin type.
3) Scent-less and melt into skin immediately.
4) Available at Watsons stores which is easily to find.
5) Better in performance if to compare with Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector!

Not at the moment as I wanted to try other make up base in the market. My next try would be Laura Mercier ones.

Disclaimer: Product was sent to me for review consideration. This doesn’t affect my judgement in the review

Elite Cosmetics Make Up For Ever

Great Make Up Stuff. But which??

Yesterday I tested out two new make up products. They are Make Up For Ever High Definition Foundation and Elite Paris Fantastic Primer.

I skipped my usual Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector and mist the usual Urban Decay De-Slick.

The result? Flawless and matte face the whole day!

Now the problem is. . . I didn’t know which is “the one” that is actually giving me the wonderful result or the combination of both. Urrrggghhhh!!

I was hoping it was Elite Paris Fantastic Primer. If possible I really don’t want to apply a layer of liquid foundation. So today I wore Elite Paris Fantastic Primer with Clarins Instant Light Complexion Perfector. My face is not that oily. I guess the primer is good. But I didn’t see a flawless finish.

I’m gonna try using Make Up For Ever High Definition Foundation alone tomorrow. Will see if this is the one that I’m looking for.

Elite Cosmetics Event Watsons

Official Launch of Elite Models Cosmetics Range

I was honored to be invited by Faiz Shah; Senior Marketing Manager of Watsons Malaysia to attend the official launch event of Elite Models Cosmetics Range at Rootz, Lot 10 on Thursday 24th November 2011. After asking for a friend to go with me, I emailed in my RSVP for 2 person and off we go.

Some history on Elite Models Cosmetics Range.

My pretty friend; Liza 🙂

After registering and collecting the door gift, we were ushered inside and there I met my old contact; Francis who’s now CRM Manager at Watsons Malaysia. We chatted a bit, gotten our drinks and said hello to Faiz who’s busy running here and there.

Francis insisted that we try out the cosmetic and we were lead to the makeover section where Liza and I had a quick touch up as we both had our makeup on. All this is kinda new to Liza so she was a bit shy and hesitated a bit but it’s all good.

One of the touch-up section where I was at.

Gorgeous shimmering eyeshadow

Foundations, primers, mascara and kajal! (the short tube on far left)

This is single eyeshadow pan (I think?). Oppss

Lipglosses. I had this on my lips and it’s not sticky and uncomfortable at all.

This is 2-way foundation which I heard is really good matte coverage. I was amazed with how smooth my face is after applying this at the makeover.

A few invitees at the other makeover table 🙂

Can’t help it. Took a pic with a banner in front of our sitting place

The launch started with a speech from Ms. Caryn Loh; Merchandise & Space Planning Director of Watsons Malaysia.

Followed by speech from Mr. James Christian Bany; President of Accessoires Beauté Cosmétique

After Mr. James Christian Bany speech, there’s a fashion show. There’s too many pictures so I uploaded just a few only ya.

Ehehe this one is funny. Both her hands are stuck inside the skirt.

Elite Models such as Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and of course Malaysia’s very own Ling Tan was there too!

Diamond Eyes Kit worth RM59.90, Fantastic Primer worth RM42.90 & Intensive Kajal worth RM34.90

I had so much fun at the event. It was an eye-opening for me. This will not be my last beauty launch event. This is just the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

Thank you Faiz Shah and Watsons Malaysia for inviting me to this awesome launch event.
