Freebies L'Occitane Women's Weekly Magazine

L’Occitane Free Gift Worth RM50

Present L’Occitane booklet from The Malaysian Women’s Weekly November 2011 magazine at the nearest L’Occitane boutique. Start from 1st November. Limited to 500 readers only.

Here comes another bad experience story.

On Tuesday (1st Nov) I redeemed mine at Mid Valley but sadly I was rude treated by one of the promoter. The promoter asked if I’d like to browse around and I asked politely when is the event ending. I told her that I just dropped by for 5 mins while on the way to meet a client and I’d drop by again in another 2 days. Her face immediately turn sour and she just put the gift on the table and went off leaving me filling up the form alone. After I’m done filling the form I was standing there waiting for someone to come over but none of them bothered. I asked the girl if I should leave the form there and she didn’t even bother to turn her back and answer me. The rest just stood from far looking. That was rude!! IMHO the promoter should either hand me the gift with a thank you (even if it’s redemption) or she can explain to me what is the gift and how to use. L’Occitane humiliated me and I felt disgusted. I’m never going to step my foot to L’Occitane again. Nevertheless MWW and L’Occitane has done a good with such a good promo and sampling exercise.

I logged a complain at MWW Facebook fan page upon returning to office and the person in charge attended to my complain immediately. They actually informed L’Occitane and needed my email address to follow up as L’Occitane took this matter very seriously. I’m not gonna make this anymore worse than it already has been so I informed MWW that there’s no need to do any follow up as my intention is to make alert to MWW and L’Occitane only. Then there’s a missed call yesterday evening. I called back and found out that it’s L’Occitane HQ that was calling me. I didn’t know who is the person that called and it’s already 6pm so I put down the phone.

I’m disappointed somehow with some of the so-called “branded” brand store/counter/boutique that always treat me as if I can’t afford to buy anything. I’m always dressed up nicely with full makeup on and in pump heels but yet I’m always portrayed as “can’t afford” shopper. In fact I’m the one who bought more than anyone else. I’m getting more and more fed-up with this kind of treatment.

Nevertheless I love Malaysian Women’s Weekly magazine very much.

Some ME Time @ KLCC

Drove to KLCC on Saturday. I haven’t been to KLCC for a month now. Kinda curious at the magazines in Kinokuniya. I had flu the night before and thank goodness the flu subsided. Although there’s a book fair happening at the convention centre, I couldn’t afford to walk all the way there and back while under the influence of flu meds.

First stop is of course Kinokuniya at 4th floor. I like to walk from the top to the bottom and not the other way. I wanted to pick up japanese magazine WITH which comes with Tiffany & Co letter set. The magazine cost about RM45+ but I don’t like the stamping on it which says “Special Collaboration for 2011” so I put it back. I picked up September 2011 issue of Malaysian Women’s Weekly instead which cost just RM5.80 and a book by Elizabeth Gilbert; Eat Pray Love for RM37.50. I hope to find some inspiration from the book although watching the movie Sex and The City 2 on Saturday night inspires me a lot.

Here’s the buy of the day. Not much I know. If it’s weren’t because of the Smurf books are so damn thin and expensive, I’d have gotten it LOL.

Malaysian Women’s Weekly (Sept’11) – RM5.80
Eat Pray Love – RM37.50

The weirdest thing is I tried searching for this book at MPH and Borders some time back but to no avail. I wonder where they hide this book. Although many had said the prices at Kinokuniya is slightly higher but I find the place calming and the books are easy to find!

Hope this book inspires me after reading.

I walked 2 floor down from the food court escalator to Watsons. I grabbed two ZA Two-Way Foundation refill at RM24.43 each (read here for my previous review), Nexcare Acne Patch (18 pcs) for RM7.40. Lots of good review for this acne patch. I shall try and do a review soon. Also grabbed two Frozz Mint at checkout for just RM4.90 for two.

ZA Skin Beauty Two-Way Foundation Refill #21 – RM24.43 each
Nexcare Acne Patch (18 pcs) – RM7.40
Frozz Mint – RM4.90 for two

Then I walked all the way down to Uniqlo to check if they have restock Ultra Seamless Brief and they did! I grabbed 2 pieces in black and another Body Shaper Shorts in black too. I need the Body Shaper Shorts for a new tight fitting dress I bought last month.

Ultra Seamless Brief (Black) – RM34.90 each
Body Shaper Shorts – RM39.90

Still in the hunt for a new eyeshadow palette though.

Haul from Kinokuniya

After a few weeks not visiting Kinokuniya, I came home with these.

Elle Wedding Taiwan comes with Majiami sample in a can case – RM29.31
The one I got is purple can case as that’s the only one Kinokuniya have.
There’s 4 colours to chose from according to the back of the supplement box.

This is a beautiful can case with a diamond-like feature.

There’s description on the back of the case but it’s a sticker which was pasted on the shrink wrap.

To my surprise the manufacture date is 18th Aug 2009!
Upon opening the case, I was delighted with how neat it is. A leaflet was also included. Read on.

A mirror is attached on the lid! How delighted.

Another surprise I get once I moved the leaflet. The sample tubes were arranged nicely and it’s not sachet or whatever.

Eye Circle Concealer with SPF 30 1.5ml, Instant Brightening Corrector 2.5ml

Instant Wrinkle Eraser 3ml, Incredible Make-up Base with SPF 50 6ml

I also picked up a copy of local Womens Weekly magazine June 2011 issue. The magazine is priced at RM5.80. I wanted to enrol to Clarins youthful body workshop which is why I bought it.

The freebies in the magazine is just a sachet of Protex 24 hours antibacterial protection and a packet of Kleenex Ultra Soft tissue.

Along with this I also grabbed a copy of Marley & Me! I spotted this book on the shelf while I was walking towards the cashier counter. I love reading books but I read too fast therefore I seldom buy any books as it’d be a waste for me.

Marley & Me by John Grogan – RM32.90

So cute!!!

I’ll start my reading on these 3 magazines and book tomorrow 🙂
