Clarins L'Occitane Make Up For Ever Skin Food Urban Decay Watsons

Newly Opened (2 weeks worth)

Sorry that I’ve missed 2-3 weeks of weekly edition of “Newly Opened”.

Here’s 2 weeks worth of new products that I opened up 2 weeks ago.

Skin Food Egg White Pack (5 sets consist of nose, forehead & jaw)
Review: Read here
This works superbly well removing those stubborn blackheads from your nose especially. I like the fact that Skin Food included jaw and forehead as well. That’s a bonus.

Watsons H Bella Purify & Renew Body Polish Strawberry & Cinnamon 250g
I received this from recent Watsons event. I’ve used up the previous jar which I gotten from Watsons event as well and I love it. I might repurchase this when I finish this jar.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion 11ml
Yeap. I jumped into UDPP bandwagon recently after reading all the great reviews BUT I was disappointed. I’d still prefer Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer though. Will do a review soon.

Clarins Lotus Face Treatment Oil 2ml
This is my 3rd 2ml mini bottle. I’m only using this at night so after this I’m gonna purchase the full size bottle which is 30ml.

Make Up For Ever High Definition Foundation 5ml
I got this mini bottle from a recent contest. Although the shade is too dark for my skin tone, I didn’t mind it as my Paul & Joe compact is too fair for my skin. So this sort of balance up the shade. It really does what it claimed; High Definition. I would definitely drop by MUFE counter to purchase.

Make Up For Ever High Definition Blush 4ml
This is also won from a recent contest. This is a cream blusher which needed to be applied after foundation but before the powder. A little goes a long way. I still prefer powder blush.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Foot Cream 30ml & 150ml
Review: Read here
As I’m having some skin issue now, I carry the 30ml in my handbag to keep my foot moisturized while the 150ml stayed on the side of my bed which I’m using it generously before sleep. This is a good moisturizing cream for the foot but doesn’t do anything for crack heels. Clarins one is better for crack heels.

Clarins Cleansing Milk With Gentian 50ml
Review: Read here
My must-have makeup remover! This is my second last 50ml bottle. Time to repurchase soon 🙂

Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser With Cottonseed 20ml
Review: Read here
After being advised by Fennie, I’ve swapped the day and night cleanser routine so this is my day cleanser now. Mummy is also using this. Second last deluxe sample on hand. Still considering if I should purchase this in future.

Clarins Gifts from Friends L'Occitane

Some Love from Friends

Fennie from Clarins BU counter gave me these!

It’s mandarin orange gift pack and her own handmade crispy seaweed. I have never tasted such a yummy crispy seaweed before! See half of it is gone. I need to hold on to the half for the photo hahaha. Thank you so much dear :). Hope you sell these. I wanna buy!

Next is a bunch of L’Occitane goodies from a 5 star hotel in Penang. Thanks to Sherman my company’s photographer who was at a Mercedes-Benz media drive to Penang whom BBM-ed me the toiletries stuff in his bathroom lol. I told him to bath only using water and that he can’t touch all of these hahaha. Then the next day my other Editor used the shower gel hehe. But in the end Sherman managed to bring the rest of the stuff back to me. I gave a bottle of body lotion to Bella my colleague and this is what I came home with.

Thank you Sherman!

What a great CNY!

Body - Foot Cream L'Occitane Review: Bath / Body

I Still Don’t Like L’Occitane Sales Peep & Service

The thing about karma is that when you said you hated someone, something or you said you will never ever buy something from someplace but you ended up with the person you hate or in my case buying from the place you hated the most? Yeah, I had that last Thursday. I guess Justin Bieber is right; Never Say Never.

Because I came home with this. Damn it.

I still don’t fancy L’Occitane.

I never do from start even till last Thursday. It all started with a Christmas game app by L’Occitane Malaysia Facebook back in December. The game app was having problem so I didn’t managed to do anything with it until I remembered about it last Thursday. It was the second last day before the game ended. So I decorated the Christmas tree (that’s what the game is) and I realised I could redeemed a 30ml foot cream! Just what I wanted. Been reading good reviews on that and because I sort of swear not to buy anything from them, I didn’t buy it. The free thing is just a scam. It’s given upon any purchase. I looked for any disclaimer or a * next to the word “any” and looked for the T&C but apparently there aren’t any. Yippy I thought. I could replenish the charity candle which I love love love.

The culprit e-voucher in my mailbox.

What the hell is wrong with L’Occitane sales people?? I don’t get it. Not only their face is without smile all the time, they treated customer as if they can’t afford to buy, they never give any suggestion, and if they do their expensive suggestion could go up to 500 bucks min. And if you decided what you wanna buy. . . they want you to buy the double of what you intended. If you didn’t, you get that black charcoal face again. What the fuck is wrong with them?? Gosh.

So I said I intended to replenish the scented candle from L’Occitane charity right? I wasn’t allowed to. They kept saying that is charity and it’s not considered sales. I argued back saying there’s no T&C stated and it only stated ANY PURCHASE from L’Occitane. Does the candle bear other name than L’Occitane? No right? Such a shitty arguement, service and explaination. In the ended I grabbed the foot cream which I didn’t intend to buy at all cause I never try before so I didn’t know if it’s really that good for my skin. I thought I could try the 30ml FOC tube first before getting the full size tube. Sigh. That 150ml tube cost me RM100. I know it’s not a lot but when you are buying for shitty people, even RM1 is not worth it.

So here I am. I have a 150ml full size tube for RM100 and 30ml tube which I got for free.

As much as I hate L’Occitane, I can’t deny that this foot cream is as good as it claimed. After all this is one of L’Occitane’s best seller. This foot cream contains only 15% shea butter. It’s a white cream which is more on the watery side. Something like a milk body lotion? And if compared to Crabtree & Evelyn’s hand therapy, this is definitely watery.

What I like about this foot cream is that it’s not oily and it absorb almost immediately. It has a slight lavender scent which is not overpowering. I mentioned in other post that I love Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment Cream right? Now I’m liking this more than Clarins’. Oppss. Clarins one has a slight tingling sensation which could be a lil bit hurting for super dry skin like mine. This L’Occitane’s doesn’t have that and it’s really very comfortable to use. I can’t stop rubbing in the foot cream to my foot! Yes I’m addicted to this.

The sales girl asked if I would like to top up my purchase so that I can be a member. I said NO. I’m not interested to be your member. LOL!!

L’Occitane Malaysia, improve you sales people! They need to be less arrogant and be more friendly. They can’t even give me a sample for hand cream! Wtf!

Charity L'Occitane

L’Occitane Foundation Scented Candles

L’Occitane is running a fundraising campaign by selling the L’Occitane Aromachologie Relaxing Candle 25g. Proceeds raised ill go to the newly established division of the Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB) – Deafblind & Multi-Handicapped Unit. The funds will be used for the rehabilitation and education of children with visual impairment, empowering them with the knowledge and skills required to get ahead in life.

As I needed to collect my FB contest prize from One Utama outlet and I wanted to do my part for charity, I bought 5 pcs (in picture there’s only 4 as I’ve given 1 to Fennie on the same day) of the scented candles for my friends. After being put off at cashier counter, I later was told by one of the sales girl who was attending to a customer at the cashier counter (which is why I was told to wait for 10-15mins just to make payment) that they only accept cash for charity related products. While I was paying for the scented candle I asked if 100% of the sales will go to the foundation or certain percentage. The sales girl (different sales girl who’s more polite) replied only a certain percentage after deducting the cost will go to the foundation.

25g might sound very small but it’s quite OK considering the thick glass container that was used. The gift card attached is a good touch.

Contest L'Occitane Make Up For Ever

Contest Prizes; Make Up For Ever & L’Occitane

Last week I won 2 contest. First is Malaysian Women’s Weekly / Make Up For Ever sms contest and second is L’Occitane Malaysia FB like and win contest.

I’ve won a trial kit from Make Up For Ever worth RM200 and L’Occitane Holiday Charm and Aromachologie Hair Care Trial Kit. I’m a lil bit disappointed with Make Up For Ever contest cause it’s sooooooo small. They should have mentioned in the contest page that it’s “trial kit”.

Here’s how L’Occitane Holiday Charm and Aromachologie Hair Care Trial Kit looks like.
