BB Cream L'Occitane Make Up - Face Review: Make Up

L’Occitane Immortelle Precious BB Cream SPF 30: I gave my heart away to this Western everlasting flower-infused BB Cream in 1, 2, 3

Most people opt to go with BB Cream whenever they don’t feel like having much makeup on, but not me. I would either go with all or nothing at all 😀 . BB Cream (especially Korean brand) is my least favourite base makeup as they are too oily for my skin. It’s not a secret that I’m all about matte skin. Having said that, I actually kinda like Western version of BB Cream. They suit my skin and preference so well. And when I said Western BB Cream, that includes this NEW L’Occitane Immortelle Precious BB Cream SPF 30.

Funny thing is, I was all hyped up on L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream as CC Cream is my absolute favourite so when I started using this Immortelle Precious BB Cream, I was speechless. It’s unlike those BB Cream that I hate and I think I just smack myself for declaring my love for CC Cream loudly last week because I like this BB Cream too! Oh boy 😀 . I should have known better Western BB Cream NEVER fail. On me at least 😉

L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream SPF 20: Adapting a French CC Cream for the no makeup makeup look

My friends find me weird when I told them I am not into BB Cream but I am a huge CC Cream fan. That is because I used to have very oily skin and BB Cream makes my skin even oilier, and CC Cream in general are more matte thus the love for CC Cream. Let’s just say I have better luck with CC Cream than BB Cream in the past.

When L’Occitane sent me the NEW L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream SPF 20 (aka CC Cream), I was jumping up and down like a kid high on sugar.

The NEW L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream SPF 20 comes in two shades – Light and Medium. The one I have is Light and it matches my skin tone perfectly.

L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist: Feeding the face mist craving with a touch of peony flower for the mid-day fix on the go

In my mind I already had a plan to review the NEW L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist together with Pivoine Sublime Skin Tone Perfecting Cream SPF 20 (CC Cream) and photos were already taken a month ago but when I look back at my photos, I had to kick myself for forgetting to take a photo of both products together. So that explains why I will only talk about Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist alone today without the CC Cream. But fret not, the review for CC Cream will follow next 😉

Now let’s turn our attention back to one of my current craze at the moment – face mist. I am so into face mist now. The L’Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist landed on my desk at the right time.

L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist
You might think all face mist are more or less the same. Well, true to an extend but I always believe each face mist are different or unique in their own way. Pivoine Sublime is one of the many range under L’Occitane. Not all of the range under the brand has a face mist. The Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Mist happened to be a new extension under the range. This face mist is a multi-purpose beauty mist that refreshes, beautify, tone, hydrates, helps to refine skin texture and fixes make-up at any time of the day. Sounds like a all-in-one wonder face mist, eh?

Smashbox Photo Filter Powder Foundation: A versatile coverage photo filter compact foundation for flawless looking skin

Every girl started their makeup journey with one particular product. I often spoke about mine, which was a 2-way powder foundation. I was on 2-way powder foundation for a good 10 years (and more) until I discovered the wonders of liquid foundation. Powder foundation out the window and hello liquid foundation! I have not look back since then. Yes the application time and steps are longer than using a powder foundation but the finishing is beautiful. To be honest, when I saw that Smashbox launched three new products back in April 2015, I was least excited with the Photo Filter Powder Foundation. Not because it was horribly bad but because I’ve grown out of powder foundation. Now, it is my most favourite new product from Smashbox among the three items. Surpise, surprise, eh? 🙂

Smashbox Photo Filter Powder Foundation
Smashbox signature packaging and colour has always been matte black. Don’t expect anything more than that because this is how Smashbox is. Simple, and black 😛 . I have no issue with the packaging except for powder finger prints on the casing. Then again, nothing that a wet tissue couldn’t do.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water: The lightest, purest, most refreshing primer form you have ever used

When it comes to new product release, admittedly Malaysia is far more slower in this matter. When reviews of the new Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water starts to pops out on YouTube, I figure that we need to wait at least a few more months (6 months maybe?) for it to be available locally. Imagine my surprise when I saw all Smashbox new products nicely displayed at the new Sephora Mid Valley store back in April 2015, I thought I was dreaming and I needed to take a double look at the shelf to make sure it is real!

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water
If you’re thinking ‘meh, what’s the hype on the primer water anyway?’, well it’s all because primer comes in a paste form and the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water is the revolutionary primer in the form of none other than…water! You know how the beauty world works. Give us something new, something fresh, something that no one have done it before and we all go berserk 😛

The Christopher Kane for NARS Summer 2015 Collection: Overview, first impression, swatches and makeup recreation

I’m an avid follower of Youtuber Tati so when she posted up a video on The Christopher Kane for NARS Summer 2015 Collection earlier in May, I said to myself that I got to check it out for the most obvious reason first of all – the bright fuchsia pink print against NARS signature black casing. Unexpectedly, Traclyn extended her preview invite to me and so both of us went to the new NARS store at Mid Valley to check out the new collection 🙂

The Christopher Kane for NARS Collection NEONEUTRAL 2015
First thing first, the limited edition collection named as NEONEUTRAL is not a huge array of product release, which was much to my relieve. Even though so, the collection is complete enough for the whole look, which again much to my relieve and I was pleasantly pleased.
