Body - Hand Cream EVE LOM Review: Bath / Body

Review: Dynamic Duo Hand Care – EVE LOM Hand Cream + SPF 10 and Cuticle Cream

You know my beauty routine has always been overwhelming right? I’m already so lazy with body lotion or cream what more hand care. I do like hand cream (a lot) but taking care of my hands properly are pretty much errr neglected? I was told many times before that you can tell a woman’s age by looking at her hands. It’s creepy to think of it so I like looking at mine, just in case my hands betrayed me lol. I never thought I would need a proper hand cream until a few months ago when both my hands started to look dry. It doesn’t help when I have a bad habit of peeling the skin near my fingernail when I’m nervous or impatient. Yeap, that’s my bad habit.

When EVE LOM said I should try their hand care duo, I thought why not! Take a stroll to the nearest EVE LOM counter and you’d find that their product selection is not as confusing as others. Having said that they actually have two product for the hand and cuticle. Hand cream is common yes but cuticle cream? Not so.

EVE LOM Hand Cream + SPF 10 – RM120 / 50ml

This hand cream are said to keep hands looking supple and line-free. It contains shea butter and antioxidants to help prevent the first signs of environmental damage. It also contain natural exfoliators such as salicylic acid and kokum butter to smooth and brighten skin, bisabolol to smoothes and heals and jojoba oil and beeswax to seal in all the essential moisture.

EVE LOM Hand Cream + SPF 10 is packaged in a glossy white screw-cap tube with the signature gold brand name on it. I love this type of simple AND white packaging because it look clean but taking picture of this gave me sweat haha.

The hand cream is denser, richer and creamier that comes in white color as well. Even though so I’m surprised that it doesn’t leave my hand sticky but in fact it gave me a velvety finish. I only need the amount shown below for each use and it lasted for 2 – 3 hand wash.

And here’s the after. Above picture shown that I have drier skin which you can easily spot on my thumb and index finger. Look at those lines. Eww!

It’s good that this hand cream is not oily because I like to be generous. The smell on the other hand will need some time to get used to IF you’re into fragrant product. I can tell you it’s not your usual typical fruity or floral scented hand cream that’s for sure. My nose detected this natural organic-ky scent. Doesn’t really bother me since it’s on my hands not my nose 🙂

Did you notice the SPF? Yes. This hand cream comes with SPF10. Not much I know but at least I can be assured to my hands are protected.

This unique EVE LOM Cuticle Cream comes in a 7ml pot which is the same pot used for Kiss Mix. With 2 same pot on my vanity table I really need to be careful and read before using. Wouldn’t want to mixed up both! LOL.

Unlike the hand cream, this on the other hand doesn’t have the signature gold brand name on. The pot is a screw-cap version which is not quite practical in my opinion. I have difficulties putting back the cap after applying the cream on my fingers because everything is just too sticky and messy.

The cuticle cream on the other hand is in a mint green color. Love the color. Don’t worry, this don’t turn your nails green *giggle*

Cuticle Cream is meant for your nails and strip of hardened skin at the side of fingernails. As I said before I have a bad habit of peeling the skin near my fingernails so my main focus is to heal the sides of my nails. What I do is I’ll dab some cream on the sides of all 10 fingers, spread and massage / rub in using both hands simultaneously. By massaging in, the cream are spreaded across my nails too so I need not to apply on the nails.

This cuticle cream is quite sticky upon application. Be sure to only apply this when you’ve done everything that you needed to do. I only apply this before bed so that I don’t get the cream everywhere. But of course you can apply this anytime of the day. It’s totally up to you. Give it say maybe about 15 minutes and the cream turns matte! That is what I really like about this cuticle cream.

The scent is unique which I find hard to describe. It’s not smelly nor does it smell fragrant. One thing for sure is that it doesn’t bother me.

To be frank I’ve been told about this cuticle cream before I discover EVE LOM. A friend told me about her friend who is fanatic about nails uses this cuticle cream to take care of her nails. I guess it’s not overrated or a boost because I personally had seen results after using this cuticle cream in less than a week. I’m so embarrass to show you ugly fingers *gulp*. Here’s my ugly, red, peeling thumb.

The After picture was taken 1 week after using EVE LOM Cuticle Cream. Actually I’ve seen improvement just after 3 days and I continued to use it till to date as I can’t stop peeling lol! Can you spot the different on my thumb? If not click to enlarge!

  • The cuticle cream is interesting. I have few different brands of cuticle cream but never got to use it as I don’t like the texture. Weird, I know. I use cuticle oil instead. I have few bottles at different locations in the house, one in the car, and one in my bag. I replenish my stock when I visit my manicurist on a monthly basis.

    • I’m not a fan of cuticle cream or oil until I tried this. At least it dies down to a matte/velvety finish and cured my dry and peeling skin on the side of the nail hehe

      • Let me try the cuticle cream I have for a week and I see how it goes. I love cuticle oil. The oilier, the happier I am. Lol. I wanted to buy the jumbo size – gave my manicurist a scare.
