Usually Get Ready With Me is mostly videos but you know me. I’m not a vlogger so this will be the first ever Get Ready With Me blog post *yay* using the latest Mary Kay At Play™ cosmetic products.

Mary Kay Get Ready With Me 1
I was sent quite a number of the latest Mary Kay At Play™ products, but today I’m just going to use a few of it to create an everyday look. To me makeup is all about enhancing one’s beauty, not changing one’s look to another. Therefore minimal makeup products can transform your look too.

Know Your Skin Care: Period After Opening (PAO)

Welcome to another edition of Know Your Skin Care 😀

I was suppose to blog about this moons ago and as usual, I’ve forgotten about it 🙁 . Previously I talk about the colored square box that was found on the top edge crimp behind most skin care or product tubes. If you’ve missed it you can click on the link here to read more on it.

On a typical skin care bottle you will find a few symbol at the back of the bottle, usually at the most bottom of the bottle or jar. One distinctive symbol that most people mislook is the interesting looking jar with a lid half opened. This little jar is called Period After Opening (PAO) symbol.

Before I go deep into PAO, let’s get to know more about the meaning of it shall we 🙂

Review: Go Beautiful and Never Go Wrong with Highly Pigmented Enuca Eye Essential Quad #Amethyst

While most people would jump up and down upon seeing neutral / brown tone eyeshadow, myself on the other hand is the total opposite. When I first saw a brown eyeshadow palette in my MIVVA box, I didn’t know what to do with it. I am definitely someone who is very much into incorporating blue, green and purple to daily eye makeup. Brown is a no-no color for me. The girls at MIVVA is actually quite thoughtful. They thought I’d love brown (most beauty blogger do) so they purposely put in a brown palette in my box. Who would have thought this auntie is actually quite a colorful person in real eh? 😀

With a wave of the magic wand, I now have a Enuca Eye Essential Quad #Amethyst palette instead of #Sunset! I’ve been using this palette since then for at least 2 days in a week, as an alternative to my one-week-one palette philosophy.

Enuca1
Enuca Eye Essential Quad is housed in a black, plastic casing that is actually quite well made but attract lots of finger prints. I like my cosmetic products to be in superb clean condition and these finger prints is driving me nuts!

Make Up Tips – How To Apply Lipstick Without Having Lipstick Settling In The Lip Lines

How many of you have this problem? You applied your favorite lipstick on, you look amazing and you feel pretty. Then when you smile you saw vertical streaks of lipstick on the lower lips especially. Yikes! Ugly and embarrassing right? I believe most of us had this problem, especially if you have a fuller, thick lips that are dry, chapped and wrinkled. Like mine 🙁

In today’s make up tips edition I’m going to show you ONE simple step in achieving that smooth lipstick lips. That’s right. Just one. No lip scrub or lip balm will be used or involved in achieving this flawlessly smooth lips. I have read about what type of lipstick and lip color that will not settle into fine lines and so on. It is too troublesome to just buy certain type of lipstick. To prove that, I’m going to use a matte lipstick for this tutorial that most people will avoid. You will see an amazing result using the method that I used. This will be a short post too as picture paints a thousand words :).

Make Up Tips – Simple Winged Eyeliner

For the past few months I’ve been doing my eye makeup in the office. That means I have all the longer time (not too long otherwise my boss will kill me when he read this heh!) to draw eyeliner. With no rushing, no traffic jam to stuck with…I can have a more peaceful mind to practice my drawing skill. You know I’m really bad at eyeliner right? I still do!

So what I’m doing here? Let’s put it this way. I experiment with different eyeliner style a lot and I finally found a quick and simple way to draw eyeliner that I want to share with you. Once again disclaimer. This is just my own sharing. I’m no makeup guru or expert so most prolly I’m not as good as some expert you 🙂

Make Up Tips 23
What I like about this method is that you can practically use all types of eyeliner makeup that you can get i.e. liquid, gel, crayon, pencil and gel. If I need to recommend it would be liquid eyeliner for this. Because I have happiness tear problem I would prefer gel pencil aka gel eyeliner in a pencil form. What exactly is happiness tear? Basically I “cry” when I’m talking to someone or even when I’m laughing, smiling or even just nodding with a smile while talking to someone. It’s really bothering me a lot as the other party may think they upset me or something. It’s insane to continue smiling and nodding with the “winged” eyeliner melted at the outer corner of the eye lol!!

Tips: How To Organize Your Daily Makeup Pouch Wisely

Not really a tip tips but just want to share with you how I organize my daily makeup pouch recently. The method kinda works well for me so I suppose there’s no harm sharing here 🙂

It all started when I changed my working hours 2 months ago. I wake up daily at 5.30am, had a cup of coffee while browsing my phone and bath. By the time I’m about to start my skin care routine it’s already 6am. And I need to leave my house at 6.30am otherwise I’d be stuck in a massive traffic jam. For the first month I did all my skin care as usual. Then I realized I ran out of time for makeup! So I only managed to do makeup on my face, brow and blusher. The rest I pack in my makeup pouch and finish up in the office.

Then I had another problem…choosing eye makeup and perfume every morning is so frustrating! Especially when I’m rushing out of the house. I came out with a lazy plan 4 weeks ago. The plan is pretty simple – to only use the same makeup and perfume for the whole week and change every week. As I am writing this it’s my 4th week on this lazy plan. Mind you I’m not someone that will use the same eye color everyday for the whole week.

Now let’s peek into my makeup pouch starting from 3 weeks ago aight!

Week #1 – I placed Jeanne LANVIN Couture perfume on my table, mist after I’m done with face makeup. I brought RMK 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette in #02 Gray to work because of the complete color selection available. Talika Lipocils & Black was my mascara selection because I needed Lipocils Expert too. I wasn’t in the mood for liquid eyeliner so I brought a CLIO Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner with me.
