Urban Decay Pulp Fiction™ Eyeshadow Palette: An all-in-one palette that you’ll never need to reach out for others to complete a look

I never quite get the excitement on Urban Decay Pulp Fiction™ Eyeshadow Palette until I started using a few weeks ago. Let’s be honest here. It’s certainly not a love at first sight when I first saw the palette appearing all over YouTube a few months ago. After watching numerous Mrs. Mia Wallace-alike makeup transformation video, I still don’t get what’s the deal with the palette. It looks normal on the front, doesn’t make me scream upon looking on the inside and the shades are…..normal.

Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette
Here’s a fact. I was kinda nervous when I was sent the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette to try #notasponsoredreview because this is a full on neutral, smokey palette, which also mean there is no other color to play with. Although I’ve been dipping my toes into neutral shades lately but I still dab on at least one color to balance the look. It’s like a personalized makeup technique of mine 🙂 . Can you imagine how nerve wrecking it is for me not to be able to play with colors? lol.

MAC Paint Pot: 4 reasons why you need it in your life

I’ve been wanting to get MAC Paint Pot ever since I heard about it from various Youtube beauty gurus. Two of the most mentioned Paint Pot is Painterly and Soft Ochre, which unfortunately is not the two that I’m about to talk about today. I knew I would be going to the annual Estée Lauder warehouse sales so I hold on to my purchase at the store, hoping MAC would throw in a few pots at the sale event. I made a beeline to MAC right after stopping by Bobbi Brown. I was right alright. MAC did indeed had a box of Paint Pot on clearance. I managed to take my sweet time choosing the right pack with the right shade for me and so I went home with MAC Paint Pot Bare Study and Layin’ Low.

MAC Paint Pot Review v2
The reason why I chose this duo is because Bare Study is the lightest shade available but unfortunately it was paired in a pack with Layin’ Low. That’s how it is at warehouse sales. You don’t get the best of both world. All these while I know these pots as “Paint Pot” but Layin’ Low is labeled under Pro Longwear Paint Pot. I took a quick glance at MAC website and Paint Pot is now referred as Pro Longwear Paint Pot. Well, I’m just going to call these Paint Pot 😀

ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame (Clear/Dark): Absolute must-have brow mascara to tame the unruly brow hair and to keep them in place all day long

I know I am slightly obsessed with anything to do with brow but I swear this ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame ‘came’ to me out of no where. The story is, I haven’t been browsing iHerb for a good few months so I thought of visiting the site to see what’s new. You know, window shopping for fun? But because I have been searching for ‘brow mascara’ through the internet and on iHerb before, this new product – ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame popped right at the recommended product section. I click on the link and the rest is history although the whole process took a few weeks because the product was out of stock. Initially I wanted to get the darkest shade of all (Clear/Deep) but the shade on the tube freaks me out so I decided on the second darkest of the lot, which is the one I’m reviewing today 😀 .

ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame
ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame comes in five shades namely Clear/Light, Clear/Ash, Clear/Medium, Clear/Dark and Clear/Deep. Each of these cost only USD$3 (RM9.81) which is absolutely a steal considering you get two different product with two different function. There is nothing to shout about on the packaging because ELF has always been keeping everything simple from as long as I know them. When it comes to ELF, I’m not bothered by it’s packaging as I am too a minimalist 😀 . Eventhough the packaging is kept simple, I like that I can find all the information that I need to know about the product from the outer box.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Ink Liner: Intensely matte black liquid eyeliner with fast-drying, long-lasting formula and easy removal

The thing about me with eyeliner is that I’m so used to liquid pen liner and I’m almost handicap with the rest of the format available. I spend most of my makeup time on perfecting the eyeshadow look so by the time I reached the eye lining step, I’m too tired and lazy to spend even more time on the eyes. All I want to do is to just quickly finish off the eye-do and carry on with the rest of the face! Any eyeliner product that requires a brush or the messiest to work with is most likely the one that I reach out the least. So when I saw this newly launched MAKE UP FOR EVER Ink Liner in my press kit, I doubted it for a second but you know me, I always like to try something new and anything that challenge me, excites me even more.

Make Up For Ever Ink Liner
For the Fall 2014 collection, MAKE UP FOR EVER introduces three new Black Liners. These three new products namely Artist Liner; a kohl pencil liner, Ink Liner; an ink liner and Graphic Liner; a felt-tip pen liner carries three different professional styles of application with three different effects of blacker than ever. You can definitely find an eyeliner that is suitable for your preference, creating a look from the subtlest to the boldest. All three different style of liner are also high in pigment concentration and carbon black in color. Dany Sanz created these liners that is able to give an instant intense, deep, dark black result with the first stroke that stick to the skin once it dries.

3 easy steps everyday makeup with Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream and Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Waterproof

Undeniably, the beauty industry in our country is blooming slowly but healthily over the past two years with the introduction of various international brands into our market. Everyone I cross path with on the street are majority with makeup on. However (I think I had a culture shock recently) I also learnt that not everyone will put on a proper makeup to work, as opposed to when we met, with proper dressing and makeup. I was in shock when I hear that. I felt like the person whispering “I don’t put makeup to work” is like a double agent. Are you the same too? Because if you are, good. I have the perfect 3 easy step everyday makeup for you that only require you to use three products, and that is Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream and Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Waterproof.

Bourjois 123 Perfect and Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Waterproof v1.1
Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, 123 Perfect CC Eye Cream and Volume 1 Seconde Mascara Waterproof is also the product focus for the month of September whereas Bourjois had a limited time offer recently on all three products, which sadly ended on 24th September. I had the products just a few days ago and I just cannot simply post up a review without a proper test run. That explains why I couldn’t post the review up before the 24th September. But no worries, I’m sure Bourjois will come up with a different promotion after this so keep your eyes on their Facebook page ya 😀
