Daiso Eye Brow Pencil: It was out of stock a year ago and recently back on shelf!

So the story is, I was very much into trying out different Daiso Eye Brow Pencil and this particular eye brow pencil caught my eye due to the catchy packaging and it is the one eye brow pencil that doesn’t look as cheapo as the rest. I bought it, used it the next morning, love it so much that I wanted to tell you about it. I even went back to get a spare. Two weeks later right before penning down my review, I went to Daiso to double check if it’s still available. You know, just in case it was taken out of shelf then it wouldn’t be nice to talk about something that was out of stock. Turns out my sixth sense was right after all. It was out of stock everywhere (the few Daiso I went to).

To be frank, I never stop searching for this eye brow pencil. It has been a year and I still have hope that one day it will reappear on the shelf again. Just last week I went to Daiso to repurchase some Anna Sui inspired brush holder, so I casually walked over to the eye brow pencil section and I couldn’t believe what I just saw. The long out of stock eye brow pencil is now well-stocked up on shelf!

Since I wasn’t willing to spend near to RM40 for an Empro from Watsons, this Daiso one would be the perfect alternative 😀 . I am not particular about eye brow pencil brand, price or whatsoever because I go through eye brow pencil like no body’s business. So I’m constantly on the lookout for interesting eye brow pencil to try. Oh gawd, this reminds me to get Shu Uemura H9.

Maybelline Pure.Liquid Mineral Healthy Natural Liquid Foundation SPF18 PA+++: My current foundation acquisition and love

Ever since I started to use liquid foundation last year, I couldn’t stop thinking about buying more. When a brand launched a new season collection makeup, I used to look at blush first. Now I look at foundation. Last time I can never understand why anyone would keep buying foundation one by another. I can understand why now that I’m a part of it. It’s crazy!

My latest drugstore brand liquid foundation acquisition is none other than Maybelline Pure.Liquid Mineral Healthy Natural Liquid Foundation SPF18 PA+++.

I’ve always wanted to go L’Oreal Group warehouse sales but each time they organise one, it’s either too far or I’m too busy. This time around they had it at a place where I deemed as “far”, nonetheless I dragged my mum along and drove all the way there on a Sunday afternoon. I was there to look for Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer but unfortunately there was none. In fact there was no concealer sighted. All the makeup products there are kinda “old” and these old and dirty packaging is such a turn off. I look around L’Oreal True Match foundation and suddenly the BA came over to help me, which I appreciate because I was lost in the sea of L’Oreal foundations. They had so many types! I ask about Maybelline Pure.Liquid Mineral Healthy Natural Liquid Foundation and she said that’s more drying. With lightning immediate speed I dropped everything and concentrate on that instead because I do have oily skin and dry foundation is my thing.

Oxy Deep Cleansing Wash & Oxy Blemish Control Moisturiser SPF15: A simple routine for the breakout prevention

I’m still not quite out of the whitening olympic yet and not quite changing course to anti-aging range yet but there is another range that is kinda new to me that I’ve been using on an off for the past one month. At the age I am now *cough* I’m indulging my skin more with whitening and anti-aging range. Anti-blemish range is probably the last on my mind. Having said that, I never say no to prevention. Review: Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++, The 1st high SPF daily sunblock that is cooling and matte. Plus it comes in a convenient mist bottle

Judging from the title you might already know what I’m about to talk about today. The keyword – high SPF sunblock, matte and mist bottle already excite me 🙂

This, my friend is a brand new product imported directly from Japan. Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is the first of its kind daily sunblock that comes in a mist bottle. When I say the-first-of-its-kind, I do mean high SPF50 PA+++ with broad spectrum protection against UVA & UVB harmful rays, spray-on application, non-sticky (in my term it’s matte), odourless, cooling and colorless.

Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist 1
The very main reason why most people would rather go on the day without any sunblock on is the stickiness. Traditionally, daily sunblock (especially higher SPF ones) leaves a sticky residue on the skin that can cause discomfort and shine on the face. I don’t know if you’ve tried sunblock from years ago because I have and they stinks! Now you will have no excuse anymore to skip sunblock because Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is formulated with fine Silky Powder technology that gives a silky smooth feeling to the skin and it also has sweat control feature to keep the skin surface dry. In another word, Sunplay Skin Aqua UV Silky Smooth Mist SPF50 PA+++ is superb to be used on a hot and humid weather like Malaysia.

Review: Oxy Oil Control Mattifying Gel, a quick and easy fix for oily skin

We all know how the universe works. Dry skin girl wanted oily skin and oily skin girl would do anything for a matte skin. Although I complain a lot on my skin type, deep down inside me I’m grateful for having a skin without wrinkles. By now I have accepted my oily skin but I never stop looking for any product that is able to reduce sebum secretion on my face.

I remember a few months ago I was asking around a drugstore if any of the brand have any product to control oil sebum. I’ve also tried walking up and down the aisle, eagle eyeing on each and every single bottle on the shelf but nothing. That was until a month ago when Oxy sent me a mystery tube. I thought it’s a cleanser. It’s too small to be a cleanser and then I saw the word “Oil Control Mattifying Gel” and I find myself skipping in happiness.

Oxy Oil Control Mattifying Gel 1
Oxy Oil Control Mattifying Gel was designed to act as a quick and easy fix for oily skin. This gel works by mattifying the skin in immediate upon application. Boy I was already excited hearing that. I have a concern that the layer will dry out my skin due to the mattifying properties on the skin but Oxy said that this Oil Control Mattifying Gel contain a new Triple Oil Control System that also provides 24 hours of hydration to the skin, minimizing the appearance of pores while controlling the shine on the face.

Review: Rekindling with Bioré Pore Pack Black, thanks to a sample that comes in the magazine

A few days ago I posted a yucky picture of a used Bioré Pore Pack Black together with all the blackheads extracted from my nose at my Instagram fionastreetlove. A very dear reader, Melissa Ting requested for me to blog on which is the best nose pore strip that I have used before as she is looking to buy one. Now, you must be thinking why would a recommendation needed for pore strip. Trust me. You need to as not all pore strip works in extracting all the gunk out from the nose. I have decided not to do a comparison review between pore packs because it does take some time for the nose area to get all clogged up. I’m not going to let Melissa to wait for a month of two for a review 🙂 . So Melissa here’s one.

Bioré pore pack failed on me previously so I stay away from them. A recent Cleo magazine haul re-introduced me back to Bioré Pore Pack and it’s the Bioré Pore Pack Black. Needless to say I went to Guardian pharmacy and bought a 10 strips pack.

Biore Pore Pack Black 1
There is two types of Bioré pore pack available – white and black. Since the white one failed on me and black one works like a charm, I repurchased the Bioré Pore Pack Black. Once you have chosen which type of pore pack suits you, you will then have a choice to choose either a 5 strips pack or a 10 strips pack. I bought the 10 strips pack since it only cost me RM9.88 per pack.
