Make Up - Nail Polish OPI Review: Make Up

Review: Getting Glittery Glitz with O.P.I Nicki Minaj #Save Me

After getting myself to the OPI craze thanks to the two minis (Pink Friday & Fly) which I received in my Vanity Trove February subscription, I bought a retail size bottle of Save Me from the same collection. I bought this bottle for RM26 only from eBay along with a bottle of Seche Vite Top Coat for just RM18.

Save Me is something which I’ve been craving for the longest time. I finally took some time to search online and placed my order as soon as I found the cheapest seller. I know what you’re thinking. How could it be authentic for the price I paid right? Don’t worry. I’ve double check and it’s really authentic. Maybe next time I’m gonna do a Authentic vs Fake post for OPI eh?

The minute I saw Save Me upclose, my heart skipped a beat as it’s so gorgeous and glittery too.

This label on the bottom of the bottle is very important to determine the authenticity of the brand. I won’t elaborate in detail. Do look out for upcoming Authentic vs Fake post ya 😉

Clarins Make Up - Face Review: Make Up

Review: My Current Favorite; Clarins White Plus HP Whitening Powder Foundation #03 Natural

One makeup item which I like to buy and stock up besides blusher, eyebrow pencil and foundation is powder foundation. My trusted 2-way powder foundation since 10 years ago has always been ZA. Till now I still keep a spare of that just in case everything else is cakey on me.

Sometime in March 2012, I read about a new powder foundation release by Clarins Singapore. It’s the new addition to White Plus HP range. A whitening powder foundation? Now that’s interesting! As I was hanging around Jusco 1U, I asked Fennie about this as I didn’t know if it’s available in Malaysia. To my delight, it’s available and it’s already on sale. I was given sample card to try but only shade #03 Natural is available. Fennie told me the best seller is #04 Almond and it suits all skin shade. Thank God I called back to change my reservation to #03 Natural as it looked like my own skin!

Clarins White Plus HP Whitening Powder Foundation #03 Natural refill pack is retailing for RM126 and the casing is sold separately for RM42. I think it’s pretty expensive for a powder foundation even if I repurchase a refill pack. Clarins said that this is “the avant-garde whitening foundation comes with double whitening performance which gives skin a naturally brighter, fair and flawless complexion”. So I thought why not try it?

Guerlain Make Up - Face Review: Make Up

Review: Guerlain Météorites Perles Illuminating Powder #02 Teint Beige

I’m so excited about this review that I don’t know where to start. This is my first Guerlain purchase back in April 2012. It is also my first Guerlain Météorites Perles which I have been drooling for quite some time. As Guerlain counter is limited, I don’t get to bump into them much. Which is why I kept on forgetting to check them out. Finally one Sunday I was at KLCC and I remembered about Guerlain. Let’s just say the rest is history.

I bought a Guerlain Météorites Perles Illuminating Powder #02 Teint Beige for RM181. It comes in a set together with a bottle of Météorites Perles – Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer. The whole set is just RM299.

Everyone kept on asking me what is it or what is it for. It’s hard to explain, show and even justify the effect of these balls on the complexion. It just can’t. All I can tell you is the effect on me is huge. I’m hooked. I’m addicted. I’m a collector now!

“The choice to update Météorites stems from a simple fact: each different skin tone has specific needs and thus requires a particular solution. A rosy complexion tends to show some redness. A beige complexion turns grey with the onset of fatigue. A golden complexion becomes yellow and dull. The uncontested expert in colour and powder, Guerlain has created three different Météorites colour harmonies to meet the specific needs of different skin tones and the way in which they reflect colour and light, in line with the principles of the colour wheel and interaction of secondary colours.”

Guerlain Météorites Perles Illuminating Powder comes in 3 different shades; 01 Teint Rose, 02 Teint Beige and 03 Teint Dore. I chose #02 Teint Beige as I was told by the BA that Teint Rose is more normal, Teint Beige is more illuminating and it’s the best seller and Teint Dore is for darker skin tone.

Ecotools Make Up - Beauty Tools Review: Make Up

Review: In Support of Earth-Friendly Beauty Brushes with EcoTools® 6 Piece Eye Brush Set

A month ago I picked up EcoTools® 6 Piece Eye Brush Set from Shins Mid Valley. Coincidently they’re having a 20% discount on EcoTools®! Lucky me. Perfect timing as I wanted to change all my brushes to a new and better one. This brush set is retailing for RM70 and I only paid RM56 after 20% off.

The brush set comes with a hemp and cotton case with mirror. This is actually the 6th item by what EcoTools® meant with “6 piece eye brush set”. 1st to 5th item is the brust itself.

The brush itself is not too long or too short. Some people called it mini brush set but actually this is not as mini as it is. I always have problem with long brush. I tend to hit my stand mirror everytime I do my eye makeup haha! With this… it’s perfect for me. P/S: I tried to do my makeup as close as I can to the mirror so that I can prevent having wrinkle lines on my forehead lol!

Make Up - Nail Polish OPI Review: Make Up

Review: As Fierce as Nicki with O.P.I Nicki Minaj #Pink Friday

Can you believe that my first OPI nail polish is this OPI Mini from Nicki Minaj Spring 2012 Collection. I’ve gotten Pink Friday and Fly from my February Vanity Trove subscription a few months back. As I was rocking Pink Friday last week, I thought I might share with you what I think about my very first OPI!

OPI Nicki Minaj #Pink Friday is as loud and fierce looking as Nicki herself! Her OPI collection pretty much resemble her taste in fashion. Which is superb as I love her style very much. I love all colors in her collection and I was thinking to get the whole mini collection 🙂

The color looked totally perfect on anyone at first glance. Even when I take a closer look at the nail polish, I still think anyone can rock this color. I totally forgotten that Pink Friday is bubble pink creme and not those usual pink that I used to wear.

Make Up - Nail Polish Max Factor Review: Make Up

Review: Max Factor Nailfinity #733 Rose Petal

It’s double review today! Yeay!

In today’s second review I’m gonna share with you a nail polish which is really good that I have to share out. You know I’m not a nail polish person and I haven’t done any nail polish review although I do have them and I do apply to my toe nail eh eh eh. My new found nail polish is Max Factor Nailfinity #733 Rose Petal which I hauled from last week’s Isetan Anniversary Cosmetic & Fragrance Fair in Lot 10. This nail polish is purpleish and not pink like what the name “Rose Petal” suggest. Weird enough the nail polish appear pinkish in my picture and not purple.

Max Factor Nailfinity #733 Rose Petal seems to be a bit of a dull light purple at first but upon application the color turns to a slight matte and boy it looked so darn good on my nails! Although looking matte it’s actually not matte at all. You can still feel the nail polish usual smoothness. This nail polish doesn’t have sparkles on it therefore removing it would be much more easier.
