7 Blogging Facts That You Might Wanna Know About Me

Sometimes you must be wondering about certain thing from reading this lil bloggie. It could be about me, the reviews, products or anything at all. There are a few readers (you know who you are!) which are closer to me and they did ask me a few question which I think is a good question!

I’ve gathered a few blogging facts about me that you might be interested to know or should know. Who knows… this few facts about my blogging could answer some of your doubt?

1) Blogger get everything for free when they want something.
Unfortunately not for small time blogger like me. Maybe for other blogger yes but I don’t get that privilege. When I read a review online about a product and I want it…I go out and buy it just like you.

I have heard stories on how certain bloggers twist brand person’s arm to get what they want and get everything their way. I just can’t do it. That’s not me. I’m still that person that live by a simple philosophy “If I get, I get. If I don’t, it’s okay. There’ll be other opportunity that will come by”.

Tips: A Very Simple Step to a Healthier Gum & Teeth

I was lucky to have a dad who was strict about brushing teeth twice a day since I was young. I remembered blaming my dad for being too strict about brushing my teeth no matter how sleepy I am. My dad stood beside me in the morning and before bed just to make sure I brush my teeth. I thought my dad is crazy at that time lol!

Growing up, I’m always afraid of tooth decay. I had nightmare that I lost all my teeth all the time. Freaks me out big time. Even till now I still had this kind of scary dreams. I must really thank my dad now as I have straight, healthy rows of teeth.

From previous annual dentist trip I found out I had a decay on one of my wisdom tooth. My heart dropped hearing that. But I was told it’s pretty normal as wisdom tooth is far at the back where no toothbrush could reach. My dentist taught me one simple step which I still practice until this day. Although there are some who know about this but still not many people are aware so today I thought of sharing this with you.

This post is NOT going to be a complete A to Z guide for you to take care of your teeth. If you need one please visit your dentist for advice ya. This post will be just a simple tips sharing so please take note.

Tips: How to Revive Hardened Gel Eyeliner

I used to avoid gel eyeliner as it’s troublesome to use and you really need to be good to use it. I’m nothing near to good when I first started with eyeliner even with liquid. I only got hooked to gel eyeliner after all liquid eyeliner smudge on me due to my eye’s tearing issue. After being persuaded by a friend then only I venture to gel. I did some research on how to use gel eyeliner and let’s just say since then I never look back. Gel eyeliner are much more natural-looking, way more easier to draw (if you know the trick) and staying power is far better. However there’s always a down side. Less than a month upon opening my new pot, the gel hardened. I tried a simple trick to revive hardened gel eyeliner which work perfectly. Here’s what I’ve been practising to revive my pot of hardened gel eyeliner and hope it benefited you too. It’s really simple.

All you need is a hair dryer and of course your hardened gel eyeliner.

Tips: Transferring Your Moisturizer to a Pump Bottle

So I’ve heard enough about not buying a particular moisturizer that’s in jar or laziness on using a spatula to scoop moisturizer out from the jar and even laziness on transferring some moisturizer to a small jar like what I mentioned in this post. With a little of brain tweak I figured out a simple yet useful tips for you to overcome this problem. I personally have no problem with skin care in a jar. I’m a hygiene freak so I like to transfer to a smaller jar, wash the small jar when the content finishes, refill with some moisturizer and repeat the process.

For those that don’t prefer jar and you’ve always been avoiding purchasing them, this simple tip might be able to help you to get the moisturizer that everyone’s been raving!

All you need is just a vacuum essence bottle that you can purchase from Daiso for RM5. And of course that jar of moisturizer / cream. In my case I only have Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Gel. Do bear in mind mine is in gel form which is more watery than cream ya.

I chose this type of bottle because the base inside the bottle will push all the moisturizer up till the top. And it’s transparent and refillable too. Clarins Shaping Facial Lift uses the same type of vacuum bottle. You can read about it in this tips post 🙂

Tips: How to Transform Perfume Miniature Into More User Friendly?

Recently I’ve been wearing my Jimmy Choo EDP miniature perfume everyday for the past 1 month. The miniature is a dab-on type and it’s getting a bit troublesome day by day. I took off the stopper completely and the perfume just vaporized by itself!

In this week’s tips post I’m gonna be sharing with you a simple and easy way to transform your dab-on miniature into a spray perfume. As my EDP is totally vaporized, I’m going to use a brand new Jimmy Choo EDT 4.5ml miniature perfume.

What you need is a miniature perfume of course, an empty and clean atomizer perfume bottle (you can get this from Daiso for RM5) and most importantly a cosmetic syringe which you can also get from Daiso. Do not use medical syringe ya LOL!

Tips: How to Clean Your Dirty Brush

How often do you clean and wash your dirty makeup brush?

I clean my daily eyeshadow brush everyday with Mac Brush Cleanser and deep cleansing once a week. As for the larger brush like finishing brush (also known as skunk brush) and face brush, I’m only deep cleansing it once every 2 weeks. Reason being is that the brush needed at least 2 days to dry and if it’s a rainy day I’m doomed lol.

There has been many questions on how to dry the brushes after washing ’em. I mean the proper way to do it. Do we lay it flat, hang it near the window, use a hair dryer, put it back to brush holder, towel dry and many more. I find myself in that dilemma too a few years ago until I found the best way for me.

I’m finally able to do this tips post when my larger brushes needed some “bath” last weekend. It’s not very dirty but it’s still dirty after using it everyday for the past 2 weeks.

Here’s the victim. As you can see from the picture below, the white bristles on the skunk brush is now in beige color.
